Fantastic dressage saddle pad for my high withered
I have tried so many saddle pads that do not match this Smartpak saddle pad.
This fits my 17.2 Dutch Warmblood perffectly!!

Beautiful Pad!
I bought the light blue pad--the color is gorgeous and seems to be holding up well. I love the padded wither relief. The reason for 3* is that the billet keepers are placed too far back for a dressage saddle. I can only put my back billets thru the keepers and the front billets just go on top of the pad. For a dressage pad, it needs to be designed to fit the way dressage saddles fit--leaving room for shoulder movement.

Stains easily
I originally liked this a lot because the price was right and the cording really dressed it up. I was disappointed when the sweat of the horse came through through the saddle pad the the saddle left black marks on the top of the pad. The saddle is a older one, so it’s not new dye. This hasn’t happened with my other white pads. They are more expensive and thicker. However, this pad says wash on delicate, don’t bleach,or soak. I soaked it in oxiclean and that helped, but the stain is still there. I’ve only had it a few weeks and have washed it once. I like the size of the pad.

Great pad but poor color description
I bought this pad in charcoal. I love the shape and size for my high-withered TB mare. However, the charcoal color is not grey but olive green, which is disappointing.

Happy overall. . .
Bought as a show pad. Happy with it except the loop at the bottom for the billets to go through is not in the right place. I just used without putting them through it and the pad stayed in place fine for the half hour or so I was riding warm up and performing the dressage test.

Great for high-withered horses!

My favorite saddle pad
This is the third one of these I have purchased. The design of this pad works great for my horse. I particularly like the withers clearance and the fact that it is a bit longer in the back than a lot of the options out there. A very reasonable price, and holds up well to almost daily washing.

Perfect wither clearance
My horse has shark fin withers, and I've tried many pads marketed for high withered horses in the past without much luck - this pad is PERFECT, has plenty of structured clearance for the withers (doesn't collapse down as you ride like a lot of other pads do), and still is in good shape after a year of daily use.

Pleasantly Surprised
I was in need of a new dressage pad ASAP so I added this on to my order at the last second. I didn’t have a ton of time to research it or read reviews but I am pleasantly surprised at the quality. I think it is a great pad for the price. It is plush and soft yet sturdy- I haven’t had any issues with the stitching or it pilling. I especially love the room it gives for my boy’s high withers. I will be buying more of these in the near future.

Favorite dressage pad
I love the shape of this pad! It doesn’t have the brushed back and therefore hair doesn’t stick to it like my Back on Track pad. I do have the same issue as another reviewer with the billet loop being too far back - I can only put my back billet through. Minor inconvenience overall

Perfect for horses with high withers
This pad is well made, nice and thick, and had plenty of clearance for prominent withers. The only thing that's keeping it from being the perfect pad is that the straps where the billets go through is placed further back on the pad, so when it's properly adjusted under the saddle, it pulls on the billet. Other than that, it's a great pad, and you might not have that issue with your horse and saddle combination.

Nice quality
Seems sturdy and looks more expensive than it is. The white is nice and bright, cording is subtle nice touch, thicker than I expected.
Friend buys all matcha very expensive matchy European pads and I think this is nicer.
Would like to see this available in other colors—black, navy; red for schooling

Fun and Fashionable Dressage Saddle Pad
This dressage saddle pad is the perfect new addition to my extensive saddle pad collection. I love the fun pattern and the extra padding in the withers. The tri-color twisted rope trim is an attractive feature that adds a little flare to my look while I'm out strutting my stuff in the ring. The specialized cut of this saddle pad really makes it stand out compared to other dressage saddle pads. The billet straps are placed lower on this dressage pad compared to others in my collection. This cool feature makes the pad feel more secure under my saddle. Dressage riders of all levels of expertise will love this saddle pad for everyday schooling. Care and maintenance for this dressage pad is super easy. I wash my pad with like colors on a cold and gentle cycle with mild detergent. I let my saddle pad air dry on a drying rack or outside on the clothes line. I ride in a 17.5" inch dressage saddle and this pad feels like a custom fit in terms of both the drop and the spine.

Great Pad
I bought this pad to use under a thinline half pad and its perfect. The wither relief is the best I've seen on any pad. Its sturdy enough to use alone but not so thick to use with the half pad - perfect combination. Its just the right length along the spine too; I have difficulty finding pads that are long enough to go under my 17.5 saddle. The pad is well made and though I have not washed it yet, I believe it will hold up nicely. Great price too! Love this pad and would definitely recommend it.

NICE PAD FOR THE PRICE
I like this pad, it is soft and very vibrant color. I got the blue one and received several compliments on it. I like size of it as I have 17.1 tall horse and need 24 inch pads for him. I have only used it few times so I cannot rate on durability yet.

This is a great saddle pad that has the looks that gets compliments. It's spine and drop are large enough for a 17.5" saddle, which is sometimes hard to find. I love the wither relief too. I haven't washed it yet so don't know how it will hold up but so far, no complaints.

I bought this for my 19 year old TB. He has extremely high withers. This pad offers a wonderful fit so that my mattes pad can fit the way it needs to. I only gave 4 stars for durability because I haven't had it long enough to know for sure.
