This is my new favorite fly mask. It’s not the most durable but it’s still a good value at this price point. It stays on as well as any other style, maybe better. My sensitive mare gets rubs wherever her clothing consistently touches her but not with these. It also fits well and prevents rubbing when used with a grazing muzzle.

Took some trial and error to find the right fit. Happily one size fit one of my horses and the other one fit the other horse. These masks are cooler than other's I've had, not much sweating under them. Like the bug eye's. Easy on and off. They need a longer tab for the halter, it's barely long enough to even get the halter in it and then comes undone. Also when they start to stretch out, they are to loose and my horses can pull them down over the front of their face or off completely. Maybe more elastic up the sides of the opening than just under their chin would help. The bug eye are good at keeping the mesh off their eyes but goes to low on their face and their halter then push it into their eyes.

Perfect for my horse
It's easy to slip on and i love that the eye portion is big and doesn't rest near the eye and the screen bubble is big enough that it stays well away from the eye. My horse doesn't rub his off, but I know this style is pretty easy to remove. It also has a loop for the halter to go through, but we don't turn out with halters as that is a whole other safety issue. I bought 2 so the barn owner always has a clean one to slip on if one gets dirty. I don't need these often, but I'm happy with these.

Ugh
My gelding loves this mask. My mare hates it. I think the texture of the Lycra, and the snugness, makes her itchy and she rubs it off.
The gelding’s mask stretches out in a day, and snugs up a bit when washed. He has a big head, but horse size is too big and cob size is too tight. Disappointing all the way around.

Great fit !
This is the second year I have used this mask on my horses. I have 2 quarter horses that are in pasture 12 hours a day. Really keeps the flies off their face.

Should have bought this sooner!
It fits great. He's a typical QH. Large jowls and short, small face. Sizing for him is between a cob and horse. It can be difficult to get a good fit. It's being put away for the spring time. But I'll give it 5 stars for durability anyway.

Great! Even better than I had hoped.
I bought this mask about a month ago . It has been a perfect match for my pony's needs and for mine as well. Easy to put on and take off, big. raised eye screen covers[. Soft materials, no rubs.
Although I read reviews of this mask coming off in turn out, it has happened only twice during a good hard roll in her favorite dust hole. It is easy to wash up in a small bucket and quick to dry when hug up. We are both happy!

Best Lycra Mask for the money
I have really liked the Lycra flymasks since they've become popular and like the fact that I'll be able to recycle these with a fabric company when they're no longer usable. They fit snuggly without creating pressure points and I like that Smartpak has opted for fabrics and mesh that do a better job of keeping the bugs out. The only thing I dislike about this mask is the forelock hole. My mare doesn't have one, so this feature allows the mask to slide around and eventually catch her ear. They're easy enough to sew up, but just wish I didn't have to. It would be nice if makers would offer a forelock- holeless option just like they offer ears or no ears.

I purchased this fly mask on sale, I had previously tried a different brand that rubbed behind my geldings ears and this mask was soft and fit pretty well but the ears were a little small (I bought the oversize for my 16.3 hand Suffolk Punch /quarter horse cross). The first day he wore it, I watched him walk out to the pasture and after 1 roll, the mask came off. I wanted to love it but unfortunately it won't stay on.

Love it!
I am usually not a fan of this style of fly mask, but I love this one. It has roomy eye spaces and the fit/material seems comfortable for the horses to wear on hot days. This fly mask was thoughtfully designed, and I have no complaints!

Great fly mask
I've gone through quite a few fly masks this summer thanks to our horse's naughty neighbor, so I bought this as a back-up. The mesh for the eyes is very fine and generous (eye lashes do not rub like with other masks). Unfortunately, this mask is not as tight as another brand I use (I prefer the fit of the SmarPak mask), so the naughty neighbor makes quick work of it, and it's off by the next morning. If you don't have naughty neighbor issues, the SmarPak Comfort Fly Mask is a wonderful choice for fit and comfort!

Love the concept, ears way too small
I was so excited to see this product, as finding a slip on lycra mask with fine mesh AND a forelock hole is harder than I imagined! I did not think my boy had big ears until I ordered this mask. Even oversize (and he's generally horse size in most things as a 16.1h Dutch) and the ears were way too small and rubbed the tips of his ears. He lives outside 24/7, so wears the mask a lot. I LOVE it otherwise.

The fabric is very soft and stretchy, so I imagine if you had a horse in a box stall and it did not tend to rub, this would be good. My horse ripped it in a day and then after that it would not stay on. The other mask I have had in this style lasted much longer.

Awesome for the price
I LOVE this style of fly mask and I'm so grateful to smartpak for offering an oversize option. The sizing is pretty generous but if I had ONE gripe, it's that the ears could be a touch longer. Even still, it's comfortable on both of my horses and it stays on. The mesh over the eyes bulges out enough that it doesn't sit right up against the eye (I have a similar mask from another brand that does this) and I love that there's a spot for the forelock to come through. At this price point, you can't go wrong with getting a few of these.
