Protect your horse from the elements at an unbeatable value with the SmartPak Classic Turnout Sheet. The 600D ripstop polyester outer is waterproof but breathable so your horse stays warm and dry during inclement weather. Plus, it also has a polyester lining and fleece padding at the withers to help prevent rubs. Additionally, roomy shoulder gussets give your horse the freedom of movement he needs and a tail flap provides some extra protection from wind, rain, or snow. Finally, two front buckles, cross-belly surcingles, and elastic leg straps provide an adjustable fit and keep the sheet securely in place.

Not Waterproof
Put this sheet on this morning before turning my horse out; light, steady rain all day and he was soaking wet when I went to get him tonight. Very disappointing. Fine as a light layer but definitely not going to keep your horse dry.

This sheet doesn’t disappoint! Love all the smartpak products. It does not have snaps on the front closure but easily goes over the head without undoing the buckles.

Not Waterproof!
My horse wore this sheet for the first time today and it leaks at the seams! Glad I got this sheet for free during the holiday deals and did not spend money on it. Very disappointed.

This is a great rain sheet
I have 3 of these sheets. They are great. They hold up well, keep my horses dry without being too heavy and they fit really well. I wish they had quick release closures in front, instead if buckles, but that is a minor inconvenience. I would recommend these to anyone.

Disappointed
Horse wore the blanket one-night, stable owner had to remove before turning out in the morning. Blanket hardware (buckle) was broken, not a mark on the blanket.

Not Durable
I really loved the color and though this would be step up from the Mio sheet, but I was really disappointed with the quality. The tail flap, was hanging on by a thread after the first day. The only thing I liked was that the belly straps are reinforced so they seem sturdy, but I liked that the tail area was wider to block wind in the rear, however that's the part that did not hold up.

Not waterproof
I’ve only used this sheet about 6 times and after the first rainy night I found wet patches all over my horse’s coat under the sheet. My other horse, wearing a 13-year-old Rambo, was completely dry.

It's a Great Blanket

Looks and function = excellence
This is my second winter in the North East with these blankets for my 3 warmbloods. Horses stay warm and comfortable without sweating if the temp warms up. I have the black and purple and it looks very attractive.

Not great quality
I've had this blanket for just over a year, which means I might have had a total of a month of use out of it before my mare needed her heavyweight blanket.
It's cute, like the colors, but the product is poor quality. My mare is VERY easy on her blankets and the tail flap is coming completely detached - the seam is just coming apart entirely. At the time I bought it I was under the impression that it was covered by an extended guarantee for quality, unfortunately I can't get in touch with anyone about this.
Spend the extra money to get a name brand, SmartPak blankets apparently do not hold up.

Nice blanket
These are nice blankets. We have ordered several of them. Only complaint would be the leg straps. They stretch out and horses slip out of them. Sturdier straps Woodlake them perfect!

It’s a gift for Christmas….
I haven’t even opened the package up to be able to review this blanket. It’s a Christmas gift from my son. Won’t be able to see it until this Saturday for Christmas. Hence I gave a rating of 5 stars, but can note review it properly until then. Sorry.

Drop is too short
It looks like a miniskirt on my mare. Fits fine from chest to tail. But it barely covers her barrel. i didn’t notice this until too late to return. Now I have to shop for a replacement with a longer “drop.” But that measurement is usually not provided in blanket descriptions. Pictures don’t help because you can’t tell how narrow/wide the model horse is.

Came without holes in front straps
I ordered this and threw it in for a trip to the mountains. Went to put it on our pony and it didn’t have holes in chest closure. Not the best situation to be in when it’s below freezing and you’re in a rural area. Called to let them know and for my inconvenience they’re letting me source a large box and print a return label then get it to UPS. No offer of anything but work for me for the pretty bad mistake on their end.

Durable but NOT waterproof
Bought in 2020, and used for 1 month, then washed and stored. Used this season and is no longer waterproof my horse got soaked through with moderate rain. I'm disappointed that it already lost it's waterproofing, especially with the short time it was used and only one washing (according to the label too). It is decently durable fabric and I like that the leg straps are not sewn in, so if one breaks you can just replace it vs having to try and see back on.

Good fit, poor quality
I’ve only had this sheet a week. One good rain storm and my daughters pony is soaking wet. Not waterproof in the slightest. If you end up buying this I suggest getting additional waterproofing products. Over all the quality of smartpaks products have gone down with prices increasing. Very disappointing

Poor quality
I love most things smartpak. However this blanket is poor quality and didn’t last long. I switched to buy their brand products since they back their stuff usually well. But that is ONLY for the ultimate smartpak brands. So don’t buy anything other than those types or you’ll just be out another blanket. Both buckles have snapped off the front closure.
