The 600D ripstop nylon outer is waterproof but breathable so your pony stays warm and dry during inclement weather. Plus, it also has a polyester lining and fleece padding at the withers to help prevent rubs. Additionally, roomy shoulder gussets give your pony the freedom of movement he needs and a tail flap provides some extra protection from wind, rain, or snow. Finally, two front buckles, cross-belly surcingles, and elastic leg straps provide an adjustable fit and keep the blanket securely in place.
Please note: We recommend placing embroidery on a surcingle. Embroidery on the body of the blanket may interfere with the blanket's waterproofing.

Great turnout, but needs to change up the buckles
I just got this for our burro, he has the winter blanket version already. I assumed the sheet was constructed the same, but it has large buckles like the old time blankets in front. Not the adjustable straps with snaps in front. I did not look at the photos closely I guess. Other than that, it is a super nice turnout. Just harder to fasten and adjust for my narrow burro.

Tore second time on
My pony has never torn a sheet before, and I’ve owned her for 20 years. Tonight my husband went out in the field to find the sheet torn and the back leg strap wound after her back leg so tightly he had to go over to her and remove it so that she could walk. This was only the second time she’d had it on.

Beautiful!
I bought this Turnout Blanket, just in case we have a cold, rainy winter like last year. I consulted with customer service to be certain I was purchasing the correct blanket for my needs. My little leopard appy mare (22 yrs. old) had a tough time with the weather. My mare has never experienced wearing a blanket and this blanket was very easy to put on her. She tolerated it well, even in 100 + degree weather (we live in the desert of AZ). I just left it on her for a few minutes each day for a week to give her time to adjust to such a thing on her. All went well & it is tucked away for winter.

Very waterproof
Bought this sheet for my 20 month old colt. He grew longer (now a 68) but is narrow so the 66 still fits nicely. First use was on an all-day freezing rain day and it shed water beautifully.
One suggestion - no buckles on a pony blanket - he had undone the lower front one and had worked the top buckle out of the keepers. Clips might be better for busy ponies.
rated it a 4 for quality because I don't yet know how long it will last.

Not waterproof
I bought this last month for my welsh pony to have a waterproof sheet for rainy fall days and today I finally got to use it turning them out in the rain, and went out at lunch time to check them and under his sheet he was soaked and it’s not raining hard very disappointed can’t send back now too late :/

I LOVE this planet and so does my horse!

Awesome turnout!
This was my 2yo mustang's first ever blanket, and though when she first started wearing it she wasn't a big fan ("I'm a wild mustang I don't need a blanket!"), with the temperatures rapidly dropping combined with wet weather she's quickly grown to love it. Very well made, and I love the clean and simple design!

Pony turnout that finally fits
I don’t know about you but my pony is fat (not phat)! I have had multiple blankets for him and have never been able to do the belly straps for him. I always had to do the front strap only and it could only go around his girth area, never criss-crossing to the back like it should. This blanket gave him plenty of room in the chest and I was able to buckle him up with room to spare. Let’s see how it holds up to the others in the pasture. (Crossing fingers here)

Love this blanket EXCEPT...
Really love the quality of this blanket (and the color!) and all SP blankets in general; however, I find that the pony size blankets have HUGE neck neck openings that need to be able to adjust smaller. This blanket, because it has a lot of fill (360 gm) will thankfully work without alterations; rear leg strap d-rings also too low--need to come up 3-4".

Good Blanket!
This medium weight blanket is well made, fits right, & stays in place. Bought for my 14-hand Arab and it keeps her warm down to the low 20s-upper teens. I'll switch to her heavier blanket when temps reach teens to minus zero numbers consistently. I'd recommend.

Nice Sheet but too Long of a Drop for Small Ponies
Purchased this sheet in a 60' for a little guy, and when it came was very happy with the quality of the sheet itself, but the drop on it was WAY TOO LONG. It came down past the little guys knees, and would have been dangerous for him to wear. While it did fit him length wise, we could have possibly gone with a 58", but the SmartPak reps confirmed the drop was going to be the same. So I am only giving it 3 stars because despite it being a very nice sheet, I do not feel it is designed for small ponies... with their needs in mind (shorter drops, etc.) SmartPak was awesome helping with the return, measuring the drops of other pony blankets they have, and sending me the info in a follow up email, and even making recommendations for other blankets that may better fit him, which were not those they even sell. Just another reason why I LOVE SmartPak and always come back.

Recently purchased this turnout Blanket. It is light weight, so I can put blanket liners under it which makes it practical for a variety of weather conditions. The fit is good for my horse. He is short coupled and measures 65" from front of chest to back of hind legs.

I admit, I'm a blanket snob. I love Rambo and Smartpak's Ultimates. But, I was in need of a few blankets short notice and short on extra money so I bought a few of these on sale. They are the perfect fit and weight. The old fashioned buckle front closure is actually easier for my cold hands than the clips on some other blankets.This is my new favorite blanket! Great quality at a very competitive price
A high quality sheet. It has all the bells and whistles of a more expensive (name brand) product. Sturdily built, and very sharp looking on my pony. The blanket ran true to size with nice deep body coverage. My Morgan is a bit of a Goldilocks, everything is either too big or too small. He really is a size 67. He swims in a 69. The 66 was just a smidge too tight in the shoulder. Sad to have to send it back. Customer service was fantastic (as usual!)
