Perfect for embroidery
I bought a couple of these as new schooling pads, and since I have my own embroidery machine, I thought I’d test it out for embroidery. It works very well! The pad is thin and flat enough to make stitching designs pretty easy, and I prefer a thin pad anyway. Also, although the listings on the website look different, the purple AP pad IS the same color as the purple dressage pad.

Great value
I use this under the Lemieux pro-sorb correction half pad. After a wash, this pad was really soft, and the thickness is somewhere between a baby pad and "average," so it's perfect for my situation.

Very nice
This pad is a good thickness, and great colors! I got the winetasting, and while it’s a bit deeper in color than I was anticipating, it’s still beautiful. I also got embroidery done that looks fantastic!

Nice everyday saddle pad
Love the size of this pad. I own at 14.2 hd pony and finding pads that fit under an 18” saddle yet not look like the pad is swallowing the pony is very important to me. This I pad is the perfect size.

Not bad for the price
So these pads are alright. Its like the old saying goes you get what you pay for. I have had a couple of these pads over the course of a couple of years, Originally bought a white one i wanted to keep nice for schooling shows and clinics. After a one wash it was gross. I tried everything from spot treatment, bleach, spot treatment with bleach, and it never got a single stain out. Not even the sweat stains. Granted I live in Arizona, and its hot so we all sweat a lot.
I now have the plum and the black one. They are OK. The stitching doesn't hold up very well, and after one wash it started pilling. But again, for the price its not the end of the world. As long as it fits my mare and keeps her comfortable that's all i ask.

Extremely disappointed in the color
Purchased this in wine tasting, monogrammed with black thread. Does not look ANYTHING like as advertised, is actually a very deep purple almost black, cant even see the black monogram. Very disappointed.

Great pad but did not wash well!
I bought this pad in white to be used in dressage shows. I used it for the first time last weekend and after I washed it, it was no longer white. I spot treated and washed with detergent and bleach. All of the stains came out but it turned sort of a dingy yellowish color. Very disappointing as it is a perfect weight and stayed put under the saddle. Also, the billet straps were not long enough to go around the billets.

Love the color and quality!
I purchased this dressage pad to match one of my plum sets and it matches so perfectly, I was absolutely blown away by the quality and the thickness. I chose to have mine monogrammed and it came out so well! It shipped right away and I got it right in the set time frame! It’s not too thick but it’s not too thin, and I know it will protect my horse’s back a little bit better. I cannot wait to use it! Definitely reccomend!

Great Pop of Color but Thin Pad
I do absolutely love the color and the embroidery to make it custom but I was very surprised with how thin the pad was (the price should have been an indicator). Lucky, like many horse people. I have a plethora of half pads and/or padding to add when I choose to use it. To me, adding bit of color to the black and white dressage world is worth it.

Black color bled onto horse :(
I bought this in the store, choosing black and commenting to the salesperson "it won't show the dirt". Unfortunately, now my horse " shows the saddle pad". He has (had) a white back and the pad left quite a bit of black on him. And it wasn't even a sweaty ride! I just put it through the wash with other dark items and hope this will stop future bleeding. Too bad, most Smartpak products are top quality.

Great saddle pad!!!!
I bought a white saddle pad about 3 weeks ago and I have used it everyday since! This saddle pad fits my horse perfectly. It’s not to long or short on his back and the drop is at a great length. My horse is 17 hands and has a decently long back and this pad fits him quite well!

Not Thrilled
Bought this for a clinic and had it monogrammed after the first ride it bled on my horse. He's a paint so where he is white he turned purple. After washing it I noticed a rip on the corner and stuffing was coming out. Probably a one off but still quite disappointing.

Love this pad!
Just bought this pad in black and I love it! It’s big enough but not too big, and thin but not too thin. It doesn’t shift or move when I’m riding. It’s a bargain for the price! I’ve ordered this in white but will order other colors as well.
