Rated 2 out of 5 by gec11 from Rubs sores My mare has Cushings and we have tried a lot of different brands of muzzles. This one has rubbed the worst out of all of them. I think the padding on the inside is too hard/rigid. Would also recommend sizing up as the basket runs a big small.

Rated 4 out of 5 by 4Blackie from Best muzzle for my horse Tried other muzzles & so far this one works best for my mustang. It’s not as heavy as others. Only feature I’d like to change is on the fit. If the side straps fit above the jawline, then my horse couldn’t attempt to pry it off against the fence line. Too soon to tell how it will work long term but so far it’s working. The last muzzle, another brand, got ripped off at the seams.

Rated 1 out of 5 by MFH MG from Flimsy I have always used best friends muzzle. Last forever. Bought this one to give it a try. Didnt last 2 weeks. Stitching gave out. The horse is easy on muzzles and blankets. The only reason I replaced previous one was because after use for 2 years hole became too big. Cheap construction. Very disappointed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Tracy09 from Can't use it The sizing is way off. I've always used Best Friend Grazing Muzzles in size HORSE. I have a mare who wears an average horse weaver halter and always fit into a normal horse size. The smart pak muzzle arrived and it seemed narrower but I had hoped it wouldn't cause an issue. For whatever reason on my sales slip even though this is a sized item, it was not eligible for free return. Hind sight I should have just returned it. It rubbed my mare's face raw on the under side in one day (She only has her muzzle removed for grain time, too easy of a keeper on a lush field 24/7 turn out). I can't even use it. Apparently I should have ordered a larger size, now she is back in her worn out old muzzle. I'd greatly appreciate smartpak reaching out to me to resolve the issue. Update to follow if they do.

Hali is a big girl but I would say she has an average size head. Muzzle fits well, much better that the “horse” size one I bought at the feed store that wouldn’t even go around her nose.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Sportie chic16 from Ripped within the first week I was really excited about this product as my mare has gained a little more weight that I would like for her. Within a week, she ripped the muzzle webbing. Product seemed to be durable but she found a week spot in the stitching. On a positive note, this muzzle didn’t rub any sores on her nose and was very easy to adjust to make it fit comfortably and securely. If they were to make the stitching a little more durable then this would be a great product

Rated 2 out of 5 by Emma from Great fit but poor durability I bought this for my overweight gelding to help limit his grazing, however 10 minutes after putting it on he tore it off and broke the cheek strap. The hole on the bottom was also very small which made me a little worried that he would be less willing to drink. Overall it is a nice designs but not as durable as I had hoped.
