Great Fly and Sun Sheet
I loive in Arizona and it gets very hot here in the summer. I worried that a fly/sun sheet would make my black horse to hot. I actually it helped repel the sun and keeps her cooler. I do have to wash it regularly, but that is expected.

I bought this sheet a month ago and based on other reviews, was very excited about using it! However, my mare ripped it to shreds within 2 weeks and she's turned out alone, in a dry lot so there's not much to get it caught on. It also rubbed her shoulders bald within a week. It rubbed her mane out, too.

Not as great as I thought
I got this sheet a week ago and gave it a five star review. Well there are already snags in the back and it's given her large rubs on her shoulders. She doesn't even wear it everyday, I alternate with another sheet (the other sheet has never given her rubs like this so I know it's this one). I'm very disappointed bc I love smartpak blankets and this sheet looks great on her !

Love it !
She's only worn it for two days, but we love it so far ! It fits great, which I was worried about because you can't really adjust the front buckles. The tail string is doing its job as well. The only downside so far is that you can see grass stains on it, so I'm hoping it washes well.

Easy to put on, buckles are nice.
I bought this last month after finding out my horse is allergic to fly bites. This sheet is wonderful! Light enough to keep him cool yet keeps the flies off. I like the buckles, easy to use and the belly straps help keep it in place.

No Flies!
I bought 2 of these blankets for my horses. They are light and provide a lot of coverage. I love the tail flap. I have had them less than 1 month and they both already ripped so this might not be the most durable option. Also I like how the blanket is coated in fly repellant as well.

Nicely made, great protection
This sheet looks great on my horses, I ordered a 78 for my 16 h thoroughbred and it was a bit too big so I ordered the 75 also to see which fits better. So my only advice is this sheet does run a bit large. Other than that I love it and it seems like it will hold up well.

My 27 year old mare doesn't like to be in the barn and this keeps the flys off her, while not baking her. Love that's lite weight and tough enough for everyday use.

Nice sheet
I really like this sheet. Its super light weight and even here in the south with high humidity my horse does not sweat under it. My horse is a roller and a napper, and this sheet has held up great so far even under some pretty rough wear. I do wish it had leg straps, or even D's for leg straps, and fleece at the withers. That would have put it at the 5 star level for me.

Nice buy
Bought this for a wide body TB. Ordered his usual size, & it was a bit tight in the shoulders, but otherwise fit true to size. I was worried about shoulder rubs, but there were none. Only complaint is not having sheepskin at the withers to prevent rubbing. His mane was gone at the withers after one day. Will sew some in to eliminate this.

Great weight and price. I am not sure how long it will last but at this price if I buy two a season it will be better than buying a super expensive one that I can't use once it gets in the 90's. Runs large for sure

Good quality and affordable
I love this fly sheet because it fits well my horse hasn't been able to tear it to pieces yet and it's affordable. It keeps the flies from biting him and still allows for plenty of air flow. Previous had an amigo fly sheet and it just didn't allow enough air and he tore it to pieces in the matter of a week. So far so good with this one

Not good for the tough on fly sheets!!
I purchased this when I came home to MA around thanksgiving, so I didn't have the need for it until recently. My TWH absolutely shredded it in 2 days. And I mean shredded, unwearable. I'm not certain how he did it because he's not particularly rambunctious, but he must have had a moment because this thing was no match for him. It fit him a little large, but he's tough to fit as he's incredibly tall, and incredibly narrow, so sheets and blankets tend to somewhat hang on him or he falls into the funky between size thing. Needless to say, I think he just needs a tougher mesh, and I REALLY liked this sheet. I'd recommend it for the gentler on sheets guys at the barn...

Best fly sheet ever!
This fly sheet stays in place without crowding the withers and shoulders. It doesn't go sideways like ALL others I've used. It is cut very ample so if you don't want as much coverage (as I do) order smaller. It washes well and also the dirt brushes off easily. Excellent quality as my horse has been wearing 24/7 for a month in the pasture.

Awful Fly Sheet
I bought this on sale for my horse, and I can't stand it. It's strangely cut for starters - shorter than you'd think, but longer around the belly than it should be. It also is tight across the withers. The material snags and pulls easily. Two wears for two hours total hand grazing and it is already unraveling in spots. It also collects dirt like nothing I've ever seen.

nice blanket but not true to size
I really like the quality of this but my horse has always worn a 75 and it was quite big. I returned it for a 72, haven't rec'd it yet. Maybe because he's an Arab his body, width wise is smaller?

Not for my OTTB
I really love SP's Classic Turnout sheet (it fits my OTTB perfectly) and when I saw this fly sheet, I thought why not. Unfortunately, it fit completely different than expected. Although the material seemed tough and it was lightweight, it did not fit. The only part that fit was the length, but besides that the shoulders were way too big & sat too low and even when the belly straps were tightened all the way there was still way too much room. Just wish there were more styles that fit slim horses.

Perfect!
I am really pleased with this flysheet. It is very lightweight-- my extra-hot horse wears it in the barn and doesn't sweat even when it is in the nineties, but it is also durable and provides relief from flies. I have used this for about 3 months and it has no tears, fabric failures, etc. (though he does not wear it in turnout so can't comment on that). As others have said the drop is a bit long, but works well with the low surcingles to give some added belly protection. I am pleasantly surprised with the quality and functionality of this flysheet. The fit seems about the same as other Smartpak blankets (my 15.3 cobby TB wears a 75 in all items).

Great Fly Sheet in Texas!!
Since I have noticed that most of the riders here live up North and your summers aren't as hot as our summers in Texas, I live in the Houston area and it gets ridiculous. I was up in the air on which fly sheet to buy my mare.
So I have bought this one and it's the lightest weight fly sheet I have yet to come upon on. It's lighter than the Weatherbeeta fly sheets. This fly sheet is also is very breathable, she doesn't sweat in it either.
I have a Appendix Paint, with high withers and very lean, she wears about a 80 winter blanket and she is about 16 hands. I bought the 78 and it fits her great.
If you are wanting a lightweight, thin, breathable fly sheet and you live in ridiculous hot weather and worried about your horse sweating, this is the one for you.

Great Lightweight Sheet!
Most flysheets are too heavy for warmer weather. I can use this one for those times. It is also great to keep the horses from getting super muddy when they roll after a rain and I don't have time to scrape off mud. It washes up very well and dries quickly thrown on a fence in the sun. I did add neck fuzzes to prevent the neck from rubbing out manes. If it had been made that way I would give it a 5-Star rating.
