Perfect fly sheet!
The SmartMesh Ultimate Fly Sheet has been a lifesaver for my rowdy Thoroughbreds! My boys play rough and are tough on blankets. This fly sheet has lasted all season and fits very well. Love this fly sheet
I cannot recommend this fly sheet or the Smartpak Ultimate series enough! I love that the warranty claims are so easy to-do and even with that the sheets and blankets seem to hold much longer than other brands and when something happens to them they are easy to replace!

Very tough and tight weave
I love this fly sheet it's very generous and it's cut with the exception of the belly bands. I feel that there should be more adjustment as I have it all the way out and it is still very snug on my beefy quarterhorse. Literally less than 12" of strap. Other than that it fits very well and the neck is plenty long. I like the tail keeper that is in The tail Flap. I like the UV protection, it's just right and no sunburned coats.

Okay fly sheet
So first issue is if your horse lays down on the sheet it gets crinkled and then won’t hang down it kinda just sticks out in the air. Second issues flyer are constantly getting stuck under the sheet! This has happened with a couple bees as well and my poor guy has been stung. Lastly this version doesn’t have as much shoulder room as the 2017 version I think: no amount of adjusting could get the front shoulder areas to not rub him after he put on some weight. If you have a very narrow horse think saddle bred or senior horse it may fit better but for my narrow but thickening up 6 year old ottb it was too small in the shoulders.

Not for Iowa Summers
I ordered 2 of these fly sheets for my quarter horses. The blanket part fit exactly as my horse measured. The neck piece was too long.
I fit my horses with these sheets in the evening & checked them over my lunch the next day. These sheets are so heavy duty that a breeze does not get through the sheet. My poor horses were in a lathered sweat from their fly sheets. Not sure if our humidity is the problem or what, but unfortunately these will not work for us.
I wish the sheets came with instructions on how to properly put these on, there are always extra velcro spots & in this case a short length of rope I had no idea what they were for.

Lightweight, decent fit, good length
Negative: If you're used to a super contoured/wither-relief type of fit, this sheet might disappoint a little in its standard cut fit through the withers/back.
Positives: very lightweight and breathable; really like the extra length and the design of the belly-band; contoured darts over the rump and shoulder gussets are great additions.
Fit: size down; these run big... my "typically size 80" horse has this blanket in a size 78 and it is tightened/adjusted on all of the smallest settings. My second horse, who is "typically size 78", also has all kinds of extra room in the size 75 - it hangs way down past his butt even with the tightest chest settings, but I think a 72 would be too small.

- so far only rubs at the withers(on mare for 22 hours a day since late may)

-cant get a replacement as they are out of fly sheets and its only middle of july
(smartPak did offer -I return the fly sheet then get a credit for a different one, but my mare cant go without a fly sheet :( or have a local person fix the holes and send the receipt for a store credit, but i dont have any local who repairs)
-did get holes in the sheet preety quickly that slowly got bigger. my mare is a teenager and isnt very hipper but the bugs are terrible and she does rub.
- the buckles got rusty fast however, they are still serviceable
overall I am hoping to get a replacement next season since i know this sheet wont last the whole season this year, but to be fair i have never had a sheet last more then a season before.

Ripped within 24 hours
My horse wore this sheet for less than 24 hours (4pm - 10am) and it had 3 holes in it. I know it has a guarantee but I don't have high hopes for the longevity of these sheets if this is how it performed in the first day I had it on him.

Dramatic Mare loves it!
My mare absolutely hates bugs to the point she cannot graze for more than few minutes without getting agitated. This fly sheet makes her happy to be outside all day! Also, she will pin her ears for winter blankets sometimes but stands still when I put this on, so I know she likes it.
It did tear in the neck once, but Smartpak replaced it immediately

Nice Sheet
I have been using this sheet on my gelding for a few weeks now with the huge deer flies we are having. So far it seems to work good, the only thing I would change would be the velcro piece to hold the neck piece in place with the halter, it's way too long, otherwise, this sheet is holding up pretty well

Great Value (If it Fits)
I purchased the Ultimate Fly Sheet because of the warranty. My horse is very hard on light blankets. It looked like this one would hold up forever!! Unfortunately, the belly band hung too low and I was very afraid that my horse would go to scratch his stomach or roll and get a foot caught in it. The sheet is so tough I couldn't imagine he would be able to get it out without a serious injury. So, sadly, I returned it.....I am clicking that I would recommend this product though I only recommend it if it fits really well!

Super protection
I have a halflinger that is allergic to flies and a quarter horse that gets sweet itch. I ordered fly sheets for both horses and it has made such a difference! Both horses love them. The quality is great! We like them so much 7 of the horses in our barn have them now.

This is the Best Fly Sheet I've Met!
This is the best version of airflow, protection, and (so-far) tough seeming material I have found on the fly sheet market. It is surprisingly strong feeling fabric for how lightweight it is. It is easy to put on for the barn, and fits my horse well - seems true to size for him. I'm very happy I tried it and hope it holds up!

Excellent fit
This is by far the best well designed fly sheet that I have ever owned. All the bells and whistles have been checked for me. My horse is comfortable and very well protected without being hot. My horse takes an 82. As the size was not there, I went to an 84. great decision. Fit so perfectly, that I needed no ajustments.

Would buy again
I really like this one so far. The neck is detachable but structured enough that it stays up and provides nice coverage with several sturdy attachment points. The sheet it self is quite sturdy and fits well. The material seems like it will be a more breathable option in the hotter more humid summers we have in texas. My only complaint is that I will likely end up cutting the nylon lining out of the shoulder for heat relief.

Really nice fly sheet
Fits my tall skinny OTTB really well. Lightweight mesh should keep him nice and cool throughout the summer while keeping the flies off. Very similar to weatherbeeta comfitec ripshield plus, which I've used before, but better price and you can't beat the 3 year warranty. So far it's held up well, but haven't used it much yet since it's been a cool spring.
