Nice, but closures break.
I have around 10 of these now and they’re overall nice. Not as clingy as your typical fabric sheets and they offer pretty good coverage. The consistent theme with these thought is the chest closures and belly surcingle will always break. It’s about 10/10 times for me. These are only used for about 4-5 months of the year here. Horses aren’t hard on them aside from the daily roll or two. I’ve considered just upgrading to the Rambo protector with how often these break. I use a double ended snap on a couple that still have the triangle rings attached. These don’t rip, but for the price you’re better off with a cheaper sheet that may rip but the closures won’t break on.

Holds up well, a bit tight in the shoulders
Purchased a month ago and it has held up quite well. More importantly, my horse is much happier and skin has cleared up well- wish I would have gone this route earlier. A few reviews noted that it fit a bit small, and I do think it’s a bit small in the shoulders. I wish the gusset was placed more forward, but I feel this way about the SP ultimate blankets as well. Overall, happy with this purchase.

Save on fly spray
I bought this about 2mo ago for my mustang with bad sweet itch and contact pollen allergies.
It worked out so well and is so durable, I bought 2 more for my other horses to jsave on flyspray
that doesn't work long enough. Even figures out the neck piece stays on without a halter or
I can hook it through the forelock hole of the fly mask.

Best fly sheet I’ve owned
Bought this a few weeks ago and it is holding up fantastically. Not a single rip or snag yet, still looks quite white, horse is out grazing during the day instead of hiding in the sun.

Most Durable Fly Sheet
This is one of the only fly sheets I will ever get for my horses and not just because of the amazing 3-year warranty. I have found that these are the most durable and breathable sheets around. It is very hard to find that balance between durable and breathable and SmartPak nailed it on the material with these!
The sheets do fit very true to size and offer a lot of coverage in all the right areas. I have two smaller horses and the size 69 and 75 were great for my two (which are their normal sizes)!
My mare loves to rip my gelding's clothes off and this has stood up very well to her shark teeth; I feel I can worry a lot less knowing there is that amazing Ultimate warranty in place.
My only aside from these sheets is that there is no wither padding so I was able to DIY a wither pad in this area which has made this sheet 100% perfect for our needs.

Very Impressed with this Durable Sheet
I’m very impressed with this sheet! It’s structured and the material is durable. I like that the neck piece stays put without needing to be attached to the halter. My 16h thicker built OTTB typically wears a 78, but I sized down one to a 76/75 and it fits great. My guy is playful and loves to roll. His pasture mates are respectful. He’s managed to not damage any part of the sheet, and I know that if he does, Smartpak will stand by their product and guarantee. Again, the material is thick, but air flows through nicely. I’d imagine in direct sunlight with no breeze, it would get pretty hot, but my guy has been wearing this comfortably in PM turnout.

Best fly sheet, worth the price
I bought this in the summer of 2022 for my Arabian mare. It fit her well (running slightly large), the nylon lined shoulders and belly band were a plus. Effective at keeping the bugs off, mesh is a good balance between stiff and soft. It lasted until about a month ago when she came in with a rip on her right hindquarter - unusual for her since she's nice on her sheets and no issues/rips prior. The warranty was great - called Smartpak and they immediately sent a replacement.
Worth every penny, my mare loves it.

Fantastic Fly Sheet & Great Service!
Finally decided to invest in a really high quality fly sheet this year and I’m SO glad that I did! The material is very light but feels durable and seems to fit true to size. The shoulder area could be a little better on my big shouldered mare, but I don’t think it’ll be a big deal. The temps and humidity were pretty high the other day and the flies were absolutely voracious. Every other horse in the pen was going crazy but my mare was as comfortable as can be and barely even swishing her tail! Even standing in the strong sun she wasn’t warm at all under the sheet which was a huge added bonus. The overall service experience for this order was excellent as always- my mare’s sheet from last year had ripped along a repair seam on the first day of wear so she was without a fly sheet just as bugs were getting bad. I purchased this sheet and selected 2nd Day Air shipping to get it here ASAP. When I hadn’t received a shipping confirmation email several days after ordering, I called SmartPak to check the status. The extremely kind rep confirmed that the sheet was in final stages before shipping, but still offered to have the package overnighted for no extra cost so that may mare would have a sheet ASAP.

Rubbed withers badly
I just bought 3 of these. I've had the one for 3 weeks and the other 2 for about a week. Sizing is spot on, but they are rubbing just in front of withers on all 3 horses. So badly they're losing their mane! Also 2 of the 3 have big rips in them already and my horses are not penned together, and are traditionally easy easy on sheets. I'm so disappointed. I cannot do the sore rubbed withers, so will have to find new sheets to replace these.

His standard 81 to an 84 - recommend. It is stiff enough to not just hang on him and breathable enough for these hot/humid summers.

Destructive horse proof
I have two young ottbs who LOVE to play, and I was coming out to ripped fly sheets every morning. I was skeptical that these would hold up to their shenanigans, but they have lasted a long time so far without any rips. Definitely worth the money!!!

3 Year Warranty! Wow!
I have two of these SmartMesh Ultimate Fly Sheets, so that my horse always has a clean fly sheet. I like so much about this fly sheet, I do not know what to mention first. It is important to me that all my sheets and blankets have gussets for freedom of movement and to reduce shoulder rubs. The SmartMesh Ultimate Fly sheet has two gussets front and back! My horse remains comfortable while biting insects stay out. Hard wearing and durable, the sheet has an easy front closure system, tail cover and removable neck cover.
My horse is very sensitive to all insects and this flysheet has complete coverage. I have a horse that gets itchy due to bug bites. I have been waiting for someone to make this belly band like this for years. It has extra fabric to cover the belly with 3 surcingles that fit fantastic! The elastic leg straps keep the sheet in place. A bonus is UV protection to save my horse’s coat from fading and sun damage.

Best. Flysheet. Ever.
I have had this fly sheet since 2021 and absolutely love it. I have had one replacement sheet that Smartpak sent free of charge thanks to the warranty. My horse is notoriously hard on blankets but this mesh is extremely tough. I also love that he does not sweat under this sheet like he has with past sheets (even in South Carolina summer weather). Couldn't recommend it more and will continue to use for years to come.

Excellent product & customer service!
Very good product and excellent service! The mesh is breathable enough while the flies cannot penetrate it. No rubbing! It's true to its size and the snaps/velcros are high quality. I've used this fly sheet for over 2 months now and it still appears new, even though my horse was wearing it 24/7 outdoors and was rolling around in the dirt with it. It's easy to clean - just hose it off and let airdry. I had to move my horse to a stall and it appears that he cough it with his hind legs when getting up. This caused a little rip off just below his shoulder. I contacted SmartPak and I've received the replacement sheet within 2 days! I highly recommend this sheet for its warranty if your horse is a blanket destroyer like mine (who shreads other brands within days)! I'm overall very happy with this purchase :)

Great fit, durability, light but strong
This has been the best fly sheet I’ve ordered yet, love the adjustments you can make with the straps around shoulder and chest. My boy is also very comfortable in it no rubs and it really does help with the bugs as well as blocking the UV rays. My friends horse is sweatier in turn out when she doesn’t have this fly sheet on than when she does. Also love the warranty on it, thanks Smartpak!

Love this sheet!
I have a few horses on the farm in this fly sheet and it has held up better than a couple of other brand fine mesh sheets I have tried. It keep the super sensitive skin protected from the bugs. I like the longer tail flap that provides good protection.
The belly band could be longer and buckle higher up on the side. It has a tendency wrinkle and not stay in place. The belly band could also be bigger to fit bigger horses. A couple of my broader WBs cannot wear it because it does not go big enough and the shoulders are a little tight for them. Sizing up does not fix the issue. Otherwise, I would have the whole farm in this sheet. Which is the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.

Very Nice!
I bought two of these recently, they’re great! They keep the horses cool and comfortable, are pretty easy to clean with a brush and hose, and don’t rub. The neck piece stays up really well and they have held up mostly fine to very rough playing thoroughbreds and their friends! This far any holes they’ve gotten haven’t ripped further than a few inches. Well worth the price. The only issue is that the belly straps are way too long. I have to knot them for one horse who is a pretty typical width.

I purchased this for my insect sensitive 2 year old fill. It fits her GREAT and has useful features such as the belly band, adjustable chest snaps and an elastic tail band. However the best thing about this fly sheet is that it’s covered under the 3 year warranty!! Since I have a TWO YEAR OLD she is, as you could imagine, very rough with her “clothes”. I have had the sheet for 3 weeks and she ripped it already… I do not think this is due to the sheets integrity since it’s very sturdy, I really believe it is due to her being a heathen! Wanted to love this fly sheet
I bought this around two weeks ago. I live in New England, and the black flies are eating my fully alive, so I purchased this fly sheet to help protect her. Unfortunately summer is just starting here and she is soaked on her front half after only having the sheet on from 8:00 this morning until 1:30 this afternoon. So we’re off to find a fly sheet that suits her better!

Great quality
I hate to give this fly rug a low score, because the quality is really nice.
However. This is my 3rd one. The first ripped after one day, got another. The next one, the buckle/clip on the chest piece broke, and it ripped a week later on the tail.
The reason I'm giving 5 stars, is excellent customer service, and to be quite honest... I don't believe they can make one strong enough for my poor girl. She gets really bad sweet itch; finding anything to scratch on... hence the ripping.

Best in humidity
I bought 2 of these over a year ago. My horses are not too hard on their clothes and mine have lasted very well. I did get a tear in the tail cover after one summer, but SmartPak replaced it for free under warranty. Awesome!
They are the best for humidity. The material is stiffer than the slinky sheets so it kind of “tents” over them more and lets more airflow. I still have to take them off in the hottest of weather when humidity is highest but I don’t know of any fly sheets that can stay on at that point. My only complaint is that after they age, and the horses repeatedly lay down in them, the flaps that cover their leg starts to bunch up and gets stuck that way. I tried loosening them up by washing and drying in the dryer but it didn’t work.
Overall still the best fly sheets.

Perfect fly sheet!

Love this fly sheet
I cannot recommend this fly sheet or the Smartpak Ultimate series enough! I love that the warranty claims are so easy to-do and even with that the sheets and blankets seem to hold much longer than other brands and when something happens to them they are easy to replace!

Very tough and tight weave
I love this fly sheet it's very generous and it's cut with the exception of the belly bands. I feel that there should be more adjustment as I have it all the way out and it is still very snug on my beefy quarterhorse. Literally less than 12" of strap. Other than that it fits very well and the neck is plenty long. I like the tail keeper that is in The tail Flap. I like the UV protection, it's just right and no sunburned coats.

Okay fly sheet
So first issue is if your horse lays down on the sheet it gets crinkled and then won’t hang down it kinda just sticks out in the air. Second issues flyer are constantly getting stuck under the sheet! This has happened with a couple bees as well and my poor guy has been stung. Lastly this version doesn’t have as much shoulder room as the 2017 version I think: no amount of adjusting could get the front shoulder areas to not rub him after he put on some weight. If you have a very narrow horse think saddle bred or senior horse it may fit better but for my narrow but thickening up 6 year old ottb it was too small in the shoulders.

Not for Iowa Summers
I ordered 2 of these fly sheets for my quarter horses. The blanket part fit exactly as my horse measured. The neck piece was too long.
I fit my horses with these sheets in the evening & checked them over my lunch the next day. These sheets are so heavy duty that a breeze does not get through the sheet. My poor horses were in a lathered sweat from their fly sheets. Not sure if our humidity is the problem or what, but unfortunately these will not work for us.
I wish the sheets came with instructions on how to properly put these on, there are always extra velcro spots & in this case a short length of rope I had no idea what they were for.

Lightweight, decent fit, good length
Negative: If you're used to a super contoured/wither-relief type of fit, this sheet might disappoint a little in its standard cut fit through the withers/back.
Positives: very lightweight and breathable; really like the extra length and the design of the belly-band; contoured darts over the rump and shoulder gussets are great additions.
Fit: size down; these run big... my "typically size 80" horse has this blanket in a size 78 and it is tightened/adjusted on all of the smallest settings. My second horse, who is "typically size 78", also has all kinds of extra room in the size 75 - it hangs way down past his butt even with the tightest chest settings, but I think a 72 would be too small.
