Fell Apart After Two Weeks
The velcro on one fly boot detached after two weeks. These boots do NOT stand up to normal wear and tear. I am disappointed since my gelding has hypersensitivity to insects and fly boots help keep him comfortable when turned out.

Oops, didn't hold up
My new horse tore 2 of these off the first night (ripped the velcro at the stitch line, so I couldn't repair them). Not sure if he's just a big rough guy or if they were not very durable?? I gave them 3 stars because I like the fit and there is plenty of strong velcro to keep them in place. Glad I bought them through SmartPak...tough to beat their fabulous customer service!

Not to saggy
These work perfectly to keep flies off of my gelding, he no longer stomps. They do slide down but if I tug them every day they do fine.

Impressive
I was reluctant to buy , probably turn to crap in a week! Very happy , Velcro hasn’t pulled away from anchor spot or vise versa! They have stretched a bit but nothing ridiculous.

Price reflects quality
I am a BIG fan of shires arma wear so I was excited to purchase these boots hoping for good quality at a decent price.. wow was I wrong… considering I had to snug them within the first 5 steps my horse took in them.. then within a couple hours of wear they slipped down again and ripped. Thankfully Smartpak is a great company and will let me return them for in in-store credit.

Don't hold up; sag; rip
These are not very durable. I put the fronts on for a few days and then the first night I put the hinds on they sagged and ripped. They also turn easily so the spine isn't aligned correctly. I switched to the Shoofly Leggins and am much happier - so is my horse! (I love Shires products - their bell boots and just ordered their fly sheet, but these boots missed the mark).

Ripped after 48 hrs
I bought two pairs of these, one for each of my guys, and tried both cob and full sizes. After trying them on, the full size fit them both better. However, they have ripped, crumpled, and fallen off after not even 48 hours. One piece of velcro has ripped clean off while others are splitting. One of my horses had his set of Kensington boots for 3 years before they failed. 48 hours in a grass turnout is just sad as far as product meant for turnout goes.

Good for a season
Have a 17h OTTB and these fit his thin legs great without sliding down. They lasted one season of daily use before they fell apart. For the price I feel they were worth it and I’ve just bought another pair for this season.

Stay on and stay up
Unlike the Cashel fly boots these stay up, but they do stay moist, so get 2 sets so you can change them out. My pony tolerates them, and they really do protect him.

velcro broke in first 72 hours
I had ordered these to have some fly boots while the kensingtons were being cleaned and figured for the price they didn't have to be perfect, but one of the velcros has already unstitched in the first few days of use. They also definitely don't stay looking so nice after wear, discolor almost immediately to just look incredibly dirty even when they are not (and hold on to dirt). They also rotate around the leg, though did mostly stay up and they are made out of soft enough material that it didn't rub, though that could be because they didn't last long enough to cause a rub.

Sturdy and hold up pretty well.
This is the second pair I bought this year. The first was for another horse. This pair was for a draft mule. They fit at the top of his lower legs but we’re not wide enough near the pastern. I bought 2inch wide Velcro strips and sewed them on to lengthen the existing Velcro so that it would attach. It helped. These stay up pretty well and they definitely keep his legs protected but they do twist and I have to adjust them weekly. He is out 24/7 with 4 other mules so i guess that should be expected.

Good choice for the cost
I bought this for this season. The Velcro is very strong and will likely last a while. The boots do fit snug and still twist and turn so I have concerns about raw spots. I would not put these on and leave them on. I take them off every day. For the money, good purchase but I wish I had spent a little more and gotten something different.

Depends on your horse
I bought these about two months ago for our two horses to help their feet stay together and prevent stomping at the flies. For the price, they aren’t that bad. They have held up well for the pony, but the thoroughbred has made holes in his already. It seems that the horse size was a little too big for the thoroughbred because they do slide a lot when he stomps. I only leave these on 12 hours a day when the horses are in their stalls. For the pony I would probably buy again. The thoroughbred needs something that stays up a little better. Bottom line, it depends on your horse. If they get super frustrated with the flies, these will not work as well.

Durable
I bought these for my gelding who is very sensitive to flies. He will stomp constantly and ended up losing weight last year. I liked the material it’s very durable with good velcro. My two main issues were they rotate no matter what I do and they are not very breathable. My geldings legs would sweat any time I put them on.

Fit is great. They soak up moisture.
I bought these for my small 14.3 h mare. They fit her perfectly in pony size. They fit snug and are easy to put on and remove. The only negative is that they are soaked when I bring her in from turnout. This is in the morning, as she is out at night. The dew from the grass is easily absorbed. I remove them to dry out and prevent her from getting rain rot.

Nice, soft and does the trick!
My horse likes wearing these boots. The flies and gnats are fierce this year and this is a small area that she doesn't have to worry about bites on. I like that the mesh is soft and the velcro fasteners are very sturdy. The boots get dirty and do not wash clean. At least they keep the bugs off. I bought a second set so I could rotate them. The first set had a tear in one of the hind boots. It is unknown if this happened on the horse or in the washing machine. The trim tore off the body of the boot. The boot is still useable. However, I am not using the rear set anymore. My horse has a very long tain\l.

Good, but slightly big
I bought the horse size for my thoroughbred. He's worn them for two weeks all day and night, and during turnout. They only come off when I ride. They were slightly too large in diameter and have only stretched more. They keep most of the dirt and shavings out and handled being washed in a wash machine (air dried).

I wanted to love them
The first wearing I didn’t have them tight Enugu and they slid down and one got ripped. The 2nd and 3rd wearing I could hardly get them off the Velcro was made for Superman. Now will only use them when I copped his white legs for shows.

Good fit
I bought these in Cob size and they fit my small TW well. She had been wearing 2 from my others that were horse size that I had gotten a couple years ago from yall. So far they're doing well. She has only worn them about 6 times but so far so good.

Great Boots
Even though I have only had these a week, I like them. They're staying up on my horse, they twist a little, but not a big deal. Overall, I think they're working and am ordering another pair that she can wear while I wash these. They're priced right if I do end up having to buy a few pairs thru out the year, I'm good with that. I wished they came in bigger sizes for my other horse.

Awesome!
These are excellent boots at a very reasonable price. These boots hold up well and don't slouch like other fly boots I've tried. These are cheap enough that when he wants to destroy them I feel fine buying new ones. Looking at other boots where you only get 2 boots for $50, these are qty 4 for about $25. Best bang for the buck!

They really work!
My Paint has white legs with pink skin underneath and he was being really bothered by flies biting him and drawing blood. After wearing these, his legs are healing up beautifully and the vet remarked on how his legs never looked so good! He is field-boarded so wears these wraps 24/7 and they stay up beautifully. I highly recommend these!

Best fly boots I've ever used!
I'm on my 4th set of Shires (Arma) airflow fly socks. They are light and wear well. Sadly the design changed and they started sagging in the 3rd and 4th set I bought. Just received the 4th set, now they have a stiffer spine on the back of socks. The gusset caused sagging which led to being stepped on and torn, hence the new ones... great value with 4 for the price of 2 of other brands. Looking forward to many more years of using these great boots

VERY IMPRESSIVE FLY LEGGINGS
My Quarter horse Phoenix is always bothered by biting flies on his legs, and he does not care for any fly sprays. These are perfect. First of all they are tall, so they cover more area he gets bit up, they are fitted, and are breathable. He loves them and I love it that he does. Highly recommend these.

Great for the price!
Hes had these on for about a week. The flies terrorize him and make him bleed so I wanted to give these a try. They stretched quite a bit after wearing them a few days but after readjusting they are perfect! These were his first pair so he had to get used to them at first but now he doesn't pay them any attention!

Good depending on your horse
I have three Thoroughbreds that are very sensitive to flies. My mare broke her tail and has limited swishing ability with her tail, so I'm doing all I can to help her out between fly sheets and fly boots. She's a very hard stomper and these are holding up pretty good but she has managed to bunch them up into what looks like 80s style leg warmers. My two boys are not as hard on them though and when put on snug have been staying up very well. They are good quality material and look quite nice on.
