Perfect even in the Carolina heat & humidity
Purchased this sheet over a year ago for my mare when she was dealing with crazy sweating and itchiness in the summer. Glad I did, not only does it keep most of the bugs off but seems to help her keep cool. She isn't dripping sweat when I go out to see her and the blanket is very breathable. It's a soft cotton-y fabric and lightweight. I like that the buckles are plastic, which at first I thought was "cheap" but realized is so much better if they get hung on something that way the blanket isn't ruined if something breaks. The 72" seems to fit her nicely, only issue I have with it is that around the neck is a little awkward. She's got plenty of room for her neck and shoulders, just about too much, as it seems to get stuck over her bum and leave the tops of her shoulders out. Other than that, it's great in the SC heat and humidity even when it's brutal out. Also LOVE that it's so affordable.

Good Fly Sheet
Overall I am pleased with this fly sheet. It wasn't overly hot in the GA summers. My horse runs, plays, and rolls a lot, and this sheet lasted just over a year, almost 1.5 summer seasons.

Don’t waste your money
Rubbed my mare raw in her shoulders and hips. She was still covered in gnat bites because the mesh holes are big. We moved from CA to NC & her good fly sheets (Horseware Rambo & Schneiders Mosquito Mesh were too heavy in the heat & humidity. She needs something without lining to protect her from all the biting bugs here on the east coast.

Love this sheet!
My horse strongly prefers this to the heavier Rambo fly sheet. The Saratoga is super light weight and my horse is tolerating it even with the 100+ degree temperatures in central VA. Another plus is my barn owner said the fasteners are very easy to use!

US made!
I love the quality and features of this fly sheet but it did not fit my horse (typical Arabian). The binding around the neck opening went right over the top of his withers and was quite tight when his head was down. It is lightweight, simple, and I really like the look (hunter green trim)

Great for hot & humid days
Great for the hot and humid summer days when a typical fly sheet is too hot due to
the front shoulder lining typically inserted in fly sheets. They do snag and rip easy. Recommend to order one size larger than say a Schneider’s sheet.

A lot to like
My horse is very broad across her chest and this (like many others) caused rubs. If it fit, I would have been very happy. It’s made in the US! It’s simple, lightweight but may not hold up to destructive horses.

My mare, destroyer of fly sheets
I have probably thrown away 3-4 fly sheets already this summer. All the top names. Some look durable, but my mare finds a way to rip the surcingles, get tears and rips up one side and down the other. For some odd reason, this sheet has held up the best. It does not look substantial, it's a very lightweight simple design. Maybe it's comfortable so she doesn't tug at it-I really don't know. She is turned out with another mare, they get along very well. If I have to throw away sheets, I much prefer to spend less money. This is my top pick.

mediocre product
This turnout looks great when first put on, but it has several limitations: first, there is no overlap in the front, even with the front straps on the tightest setting, and no velcro to help secure it. Second the way the rear straps work serve to pull the sheet back, adding extra strain on the front. Third, the material, though effective against flies, sends out many static cling charges as you are taking it off. Not very nice for the horse or owner! The size is right so I'm puzzled about the design.
