Too small
This salt block holder is a great idea, but it’s a little bit too small, will not fit a 4.4 lb block of Himalayan block. I had to trim a little bit off the salt block to fit. Needs to be a little wider to accommodate the salt block. Other than this one issue, so far it’s been great.

Durable
So far it has stayed put in the stall. Difficulty finding a salt block small enough to fit in it. Pretty blue color

Perfect!
I bought two of these to replace a stainless steel one that my Appy mare had managed to tear apart. These holders are very solid, made of thick plastic. A salt block fits in snugly. With all the open area to the salt, my horses love them. Would definitely buy again.

Great product!
My metal salt block holder broke recently leaving a sharp edge in my mare's stall. We decided to replace the metal holder with this plastic Safe-T holder which has been working out great for two months now. The salt brick is held securely even as the size of the brick shrinks down with the horse's licking. She has rubbed her fanny on it without breaking the holder. There are no rough edges, and it was easy to install. Keep in mind that metal corrodes with exposure to salt. Plastic does not corrode.

Couldn't use it
I bought this to hold one of the Himalayan salt blocks sold by SmartPak. Unfortunately, the block is considerably larger than the description says, and there's no way the block will fit in this holder. If you plan to buy this holder, be sure to check the dimensions of what you want to put in it.

I love this, but...
leave it to my horse. He chewed the wings off the bottom sides! (obviously not a manufacture issue, just an issue with my plaayful horse). Despite this, it STILL holds the salt block securely. I bought another, (the price is right) and I'll replace the chewed one if it ever fails to hold the block securely. My horse loves the access it gives to the block and there's no rusting problem.

Little on the small size
Little on the small size. I had to shave off some of the block inorder to get it into the holder.

Tough and safe
I have been using these salt holders for years and they are just perfect. The screws I put them up with rust out before the holder breaks. I still have the first one I bought 10 or15 years ago. I’ve never had a horse injured or caught up on one.

Great item
I bought several of these to replace old metal corroding ones in my stalls. They are great. I like theat they keep the salt from falling out should the block break. Buy them when they are on sale as they are pricey. I wish they would come in more colors like the buckets do.

Salt block holder
I bought this, thinking I would put the salt in it, but I ended up putting the salt in the feed bin. I'll keep the holder in case I can use it later.

Just what I was looking for
I like this type of salt brick holder because it doesn't break easily or rust, and it prevents the brick from falling out when it gets smaller.
It is a bit too pricey, but worth it for the value.

Good product
A quality product, easy to install and is safe for stall use. I purchased this block holder to replace a metal one that would no longer hold a salt block due to being worn out. This salt holder doesn't allow as much access to the salt as my previous version, but seems fine. I would have rated it a five star, but thought it was a little pricey.

Salty Salt Block Holder
I bought this and installed it about a week later. So far, so good. It has held up to my geldings punishing it and the salt block fit in it so nicely he hasn't knocked it out. I will probably buy another one for the run-in in the back pasture.

Holding up very well
The metal ones tend to rust very fast because of the salt and break easily. This one is holding up strong. Very satisfied with this purchase. Wish it had come with screws and washers though.

Worth the money!
I bought my first safe T salt block holder last year at a local tack shop. I cannot tell you how many we had gone through prior, my horse has a way of ripping the metal ones to shreds. This salt block holder not only holds up (to date there's not even a scratch on it), but it also holds the salt block together, unlike other kinds. I will only buy safe T going forward!

Perfect for humid environments
This is great here in Florida where everything rusts. It's sturdy and holds up better than the metal variety. We needed to add some more holes in it to hang it up. This didn't weaken/split the holder at all.

Great value for the price
I bought the holder over a year ago, and cannot believe its still in one piece. Usually she will destroy the metal/plastic holders in less than a few months. This one is not only sturdy, but it actually holds the salt block together so it doesn't break and fall apart. Definitely well worth the extra initial expense... its already lasted longer than all the others combined!

Broke within one week
This salt block holder broke within one week of hanging it in my horse's stall. The wonder folks with customer service gladly credited to my account, but there seem to be concerns with the quality/sturdiness of this product.

Does its job
These salt block holders are attractive, seem to be durable (one of my horses chews on EVERYTHING and this still looks new), were incredibly easy to install, and hold my salt blocks (I use the Himalayan ones( in place to the very last little bit! Absolutely no complaints.
