The Rhino® SmartPak Collection Wug Turnout Sheet was created exclusively for SmartPak by the experts at Horseware Ireland for one of the most fashionable and functional turnouts around. It features a 1000 denier exterior backed by Rhino®’s Barrier Technology. That means that even if your horse manages to tear the tough outer shell, the waterproof protection remains intact. The lining on this sheet will keep your horse looking as good as he feels with shine-enhancing and antibacterial properties. Plus, the Surefit neck design reduces pressure on the withers while the patented V-Front closure wraps around the point of the shoulder, keeping the sheet light across the chest and relieving pressure on the shoulders. Additionally, front leg arches give your horse more freedom of movement. Finally, a tail flap provides extra protection against wind and rain while cross-belly surcingles and a tail cord provide a secure fit.

Attractive Pattern and a good fit!
Love this blanket for my boy! Fits him very well as he’s still growing and a super cute pattern! I was only buying him used blankets this season since he’s still growing but I saw this one and HAD to have. I don’t regret it!!

Size was perfect!
I was worried about the size being too small, as mentioned by others. We have an OTTB and the size was actually true to size (and is actually on the smallest surcingle strap setting). I cannot speak to the lasting quality, as he just got it tonight. Will update once he has spent a season in it.

Runs very small
My dressage horse has worn Horseware blankets his entire life and I eagerly bought this for him using the same size I’ve purchased for him on his other Horsewear products. Sadly this SmartPak/Horsewear blanket barely closed across his chest, the sides were substantially shorter than usual, and the high neck feature failed to fit around his neck.

great quality for a great price
The quality of this sheet is wonderful, and it's keeping my clipped gelding nice and toasty this fall. I love the quality, with its heavy snaps and solid fittings. It fits beautiful. I've been a Horseware fan for a while now, and I don't think I'd get a sheet or blanket from any other company again. These have held up better than anything else I've tried.

Very cute, great fit
I have had this sheet for about a month and it's great. It isn't too long on the sides on my large pony, and it has never slipped or rubbed her. She stays dry under it. I like that it only has two belly straps to keep things simple. I can just put it on her and not worry, which is great. Lastly, the red plaid is extremely cute and makes my mare look like she's in prep school :)

A little more narrow than usual
I've used the Wug/Amigo blankets for my horse for years because they have always fit him really well (16.2hh TB gelding, typical TB build with a slightly thicker than usual neck)
I esp LOVE the V-closure. However, for some reason this blanket fits a bit more narrow than usual thru the neck and shoulders. I wish there was a way to let the front buckle/snaps out just a notch. I don't think it's enough to merit returning it, but I'll have to just keep an eye out for shoulder rubs. Otherwise love everything else about it. Esp the colors

Measure your blanket before using!
I ordered this in a 69” and double checked the tag before using. My pony started to get horrible shoulder rubs and I thought that maybe it was because the style wasn’t the right one for him. Ordered a Rambo version and it’s seemed to fit him much better. Compared the two side by side and this one measures a true 72” instead of the 69” that it is marked. Double check before using so you aren’t stuck with a blanket that is too big like I am. Other than the sizing being wrong it is a nice quality blanket. The medium and heavy weight that I ordered in the same style do fit true to size and were marked correctly.

Stick with the Amigo Bravo
Bought an 81 for my 16 h warmblood with big shoulders and a long neck. He couldn't pick his head up without it pressing down hard on his withers, and it was inches too short. It fits ok on my smaller mare who normally swims in an 81, but in 3 weeks she has managed to shred and fray the tail flap and put a hole in it. Complete waste of $200.

Looks and fits great, waterproof!
I really like these blankets and sheets. They remain waterproof and fit well. With that said, the stitching on the straps does come loose after a few seasons of use. My horses are out in all weather conditions and I think these do a good job protecting them from the elements.... I just wish they were more durable!

Thin cheap worthless blanket
My Amigo blanket lasted 10 yrs, yet this Rhino was ripped in 24 hour and in two months of use has more holes than a spaghetti strainer. The inner lining is ripped too and shifts so you can't get the blanket on right. I bought this last March, used it a few weeks and stored it until Dec this yr. What a colossal waste of money. It didn't even last half the season.

Rugged turnout sheet
I bought this about a month ago and I am very happy with my purchase. This turnout sheet is very well Made. My horse is turned out 24/7 with a run in shelter. So this waterproof sheet is used when the weather forecast is for wet and cold conditions. It is actually the second one I’ve purchased(different size/ different horse). I bought the first one over a year ago and it has held up great. Only gave 4 star because of price.

This sheet is perfect for most weather. My horse is rub free, and the high neck keeps the horse's shoulders and chest warm and dry. Finally, this is my third Rhino, the first one is still perfect after two years use.

Ripped after 5 days
I bought the Rhino blanket because I know Horseware products have a great reputation, and I've been very pleased with the Rambo products I've owned in the past. I thought getting a Rhino would be a great way for me to save a few hundred dollars. Instead, I've lost a few hundred dollars, because this blanket started tearing across my gelding's barrel after a total of 5 days of wear...so now I had to shell out more money to buy a higher-quality sheet! I should have gone with Rambo or SmartPak Ultimate the first time around.

Good quality but the sizing is WAY Off
I ended up needing to get my horse a medium weight blanket and I love the horseware brand. He wears a 78” is literally any brand. I got a 78” in the rhino and ended up having my initials embroidered on it due to being in a big boarding facility. He looks like he’s wearing a skimpy dress lol it doesn’t fit at all and now I can’t return it due to the embroidery. I’m SO sad since I loved the color combo and quality I just wish the brand would fix their sizing.

I love the high neck BUT HATE NO WARRANTY!
I purchased this sheet for $140.00 on January 4th of this year. On February 29th, not even 2 months later, I discovered a rip in the sheet. When I called SmartPak to ask if there was anything they could do I was told "No, that sheet has no warranty". As much as I like this sheet I am sorry to say that I will NOT recommend Smart Pak or Rhino sheets. I will be passing this information along to all my horse owner friends. Shame on you SmarkPak.

Sizing completely off
I bought a Rhino Wug size 69 eight years ago and has held up great until a two inch tear appeared a few weeks ago. Naturally I ordered another Rhino Wug size 69 as my first held up so well. The 69 was too small in the shoulders and hind end so I returned it for a 72. This Rhino Wug made for SmartPak fit terribly! It was even tighter in the shoulders than the 69 and the hind end was huge! It fit wrong in too many ways I have to return. I was so sure this was going to fit so I had it personalized with my horse’s name. Unfortunately I can’t get that refunded.

This is the first blanket I have ever found that totally fits my older Arabian mare. This is also the first blanket I have found that allows her to lower her head comfortably and does not rub on her shoulders. I love the fit that allows the blanket to go further up her neck without restricting movement. Awesome blanket!

Super waterproof
I got this to replace an among j had for about 10 years that had just lost its H2O proofness after being washed many times per season. I’m hoping this one will be as good. Love the fit 16hh reg American Paint i got him a 78 and it fits perfectly. The only con (4 stars) is I wish it came with the covered tail cord on the blankets because it comes with a nylon one that clients caked in manure so I purchased the other one for $13 I already recommended it to a barn mate and she bought one for her draft cross same size fits great!

Horseware Rhino Wug SP Collection Blankets ROCK!
Just purchased this medium weight TO blanket in Navy/Hunter Plaid for my 25 year old Appendix QH mare. Purchased my first Rhino from SmartPak in 2014 and it's still working well, re-waterproofed a couple of years ago! I love the Rambos, but they're too pricey for me. She now has several Rhinos (and Amigos). With high sharp withers and a 16.1hh TB/QH build, the Wug/Surefit high neck prevents shoulder rubs, and the V front closure allows her to lower her head without restriction or pressure on her withers. For the medium and heavy weight blankets, I use a Sleazywear Shoulder Guard underneath. After trying many blankets, the Rhino size 75 (she measures 76 but they're too big) with a tail cord fits her well. The best thing is that the Rhinos don't shift around as the blankets with leg straps used to do. I found that the Rambo Bungee Tail Cord is much easier to keep clean and doesn't catch as much manure as the fabric tail straps that come with the blankets. I've replaced ALL the straps on my Horseware/SP blankets (and others as well) with these elastic cords - no need for leg straps!!! My mare is very active and loves to race around, roll and lie down in her runout and turnout, and she has not destroyed any of these blankets yet. The waterproofing has also held up well when she rolls in the snow (snow angels!) and wet mud. These are not rain sheets, and are fine with wet weather (but not for prolonged cold rain or heavy downpours). She also likes to lie down in her stall, usually on her manure/urine spots (of course!) and nothing has gotten through the blankets to her skin. I LOVE these blankets! Ripped in a week!
Very irritated this blanket ripped in a month on a horse that was on stall rest. And they will not replace it with the so called "hassle free return" policy. I only bought this bcuz of their guarantee and the fact that my last one lasted more than 5 years!! I always buy from SmartPak first, I will have to rethink that moving forward.
