I’ll only ever buy Rambo
Rambo is hands down the best out there for blankets, and this one is true to that as well. The blanket is so soft and doesn’t have that awful stiffness to it that some other brands get. It has a lovely drape to it and the straps are easy to adjust, but stay in place. I love that it has the UV protection in it and that’s actually the main reason I have my horse wearing it. It fits her very well (she’s a typical Thoroughbred build) and is comfortable enough on her that it doesn’t cause any rubs/marks.

Fits well but tore quickly
My horse wears 24/7 in the Arizona heat and keeps the flies off my old guy. However the neck piece has a large rip on it within several days of original purpose. Kinda disappointed as others at my barn with Rambo fly sheets have lasted 2 years and no rips.

broke in less than a week
My horse had the same fly sheet before and it lasted four seasons. It was time to get a new one and not even a week of wearing it, the mesh came out of the white and blue webbing on the perimeter of the sheet :( I’m really
disappointed because my sheet before lasted four seasons and this one didn’t even make it a week.

Not Durable
I wanted to like this fly sheet so badly because it is rigid and firm enough to keep its shape and keep my horse cool but after 1 week in it the seams were already detaching and now after 1 month the blanket looks like it went through a shredder. My horse is not particularly tough on blankets but this one looks like its 5 years old. For the price I was expecting something of higher quality.

So nice I bought a second one
I bought one a few years ago and after trying many different brands in between, I went back to this one. The 1st one is still going strong. I got a 2nd for when I need to wash the other one but not have time to get it back to the horse clean.

Good quality and stays in place
I bought this fly sheet a month ago and absolutely love it! I have a 15.3hh chunky paint mare and the 75" fits very well but has caused a little rubbing on her shoulders so I use with a silk shoulder guard. I was concerned about not having leg straps as she rolls frequently, but this sheet stays in place. There are two improvements I would suggest, chest closures that allow some adjustment and slightly longer belly band (the velco barely touches but hasn't come unfastened - I did mention she's chunky).

Fits Great. Super coverage but not so durable
I wanted this to be a 5 star fly sheet but unfortunately within a week it snagged and got a hole in it. So it is not as sturdy as it looks.

Love it!!!
Durable, easy to clean, and well made! I bought this fly sheet for my horse who loves to roll over. This is his second flysheet and I have not yet to find a hole in it as yet while another flysheet that I had purchased a week before this product already started tearing apart.

Sturdy
I’ve alternated between the Rambo and the Horseware Ireland Amigo Evolution (looks like my horse belongs at Ye Olde Renaissance Faire). While I love the lightweight nature of the Amigo, those things don’t hold up for...well, you know what. The mesh is simply too light and tears on branches or if he scratches. The Rambo is sturdier, but also heavier.
I bought this in a 72 because my boy wears a 72 in the Amigo. He needs a 69 in the Rambo, which fits much better. He was swimming in the 72 Rambo - loose everywhere, belly, withers to tail. In a 69 his belly is protected with no chance of getting a hoof stuck. The neck protector must be one size fits all because it’s super loose on my short, sturdy boy, but you can’t have everything.
TL;DR - Amigo Evolutions don’t last even a single season, the Rambo is heavier but sturdier, and size down if you’re transitioning from Amigo to Rambo.

I ordered a size down based on reviews and the fit was perfect, the neck a tad large but it actually sits perfectly for my gelding to move his head up and down without tugging. It hangs nicely and he still can roll around and it still sits where I put it.

I have bought a lot of fly sheets in the past and this is by far the best one I have ever had. I was skeptical about purchasing due to the price but it is totally worth it! It does run a touch big. I got a 78 for my horse who normally wears an 81 and fits beautifully.

Material was great, but not indestructible
I bought this with high hopes it would last for awhile, but unfortunately it ripped after only about a week of wear. Not very happy with how expensive it was and how quickly it ripped! My boy lives inside and goes out during the day for turnout, so I’m not quite sure how it just couldn’t stand up.

Definitely glad I sized down
My mare is Appendix, described as a refined tank, and about 15.2. She usually wears a 78 in turnout rugs and sheets but at the advise of several reviews as well as a friend of mine with a similarly built mare, I went with a 75. The neck still has some give which I like and it does drop over her hind end a bit, but not in a way that would be concerning. the material is excellent and my primary interest is that it provide UV protection for my black horse as well as be able to shed water since we live in Florida and get a lot of rain. I'm very pleased with this sheet so far.

Best Fly Sheet
I've had many many fly sheets over the years and some in fun and funky colors. This one is by far the best and I foresee myself having it for years to come. My previous fly sheet was heavy and wouldn't dry fast if my horse got caught in a summer rain storm. This fly sheet is light and dries super fast. I held off buying this due to the price. If I just bought it from the beginning, I would have ended up saving myself money in the long run.

Highly Recommend!!!
After trying several different cheaper sheets this one blew them all out of the water! I am very pleased with it and recommend spending the extra money on a Rambo! The quality is amazing and well worth the price tag! If you're looking for a quality sheet that fits well and will hold up then this is your sheet! Smart Pak's customer service is simply the best also, thank you Kathleen for recommending this sheet it is EXACTLY what I was looking for and my boy loves it!

The quality of the Rambo Protector Fly Sheet is unparalleled. I really like the 3 belly straps w/velcro also. The only reason I didn't rate it excellent is the sizing is quite large. I got my horse who is 16 hands & weighs 1400 lbs. a size 81, had to return it because it was WAY to large, ordered a 78 & it is still pretty large for him, but kept it anyway as he really needed one.

Remarkably good fly sheet!
I don't usually write reviews, but this fly sheet has been outstanding and has lasted way longer than any other I have purchased. My horse usually wears a 75 or 78, and he was a 75 in this sheet. I was a little concerned at first that it was a little tight on his chest, but it turned out to be OK, no rubbing. Worth the extra money.

too narrow
I love Rambo products but this sheet didn't fit my large warmblood 17.1HH gelding at all! The shoulders were so tight I put it on and didn't even need to see him move in it it was too tight. Maybe a better fit for different breeds?

I wanted to love it!
I bought this sheet 2 months ago for a sensitive chestnut OTTB mare who is gentle on her clothing but fits best in blankets with the v front. Her normal size(78") fits well. I love the coverage of the neck, belly band, and tail flap. She doesn't sweat any more in this sheet than she does when she's not wearing it. I wish the shoulder lining came a bit farther back to cover her withers. She wears this sheet almost daily. At this point the material has defintaly broken in and is a bit softer. The reason I am only giving it two stars is that is has started to get snags in the body of the sheet. There is even a small hole. I was expecting this sheet to last a long time for my mare based on the seemingly tough material and "self healing" capeabilities. I'm not sure how she is doing this; she is turned out in a pasture with no trees and nothing to rub on, but she does lay down daily. The sheet is definatly still useable and I will continue to use it just slightly disapointed that it has started to degrade so quickly. I would still recomend this sheet if you have a horse that has hard to fit shoulders and needs the extra coverage of an extended belly band.

Fits nicely
bought this for my gelding with sweet itch. Was a little skeptical due to price and have never tried a rambo but I'm in love. It fits him super nicely, no leg straps for him to rip off. Runs true to size for him (he's in a 75"). Neck cover stays up even though its not on super tight. Love the extra velcro closures on the belly.

Best fly sheet
This is my 3rd Rambo Protector. I've also tried other brands but this is well worth the money in terms of fit, durability, quality. It provides excellent coverage/bug amd sun protection and stays in place despite lots of running, play, rolling. It seems to keep my bay AQHA cooler than if he's not wearing a sheet as it is a breathable, reflective, light colored material. I also use the neck cover alone when I'm trail riding to help keep bugs off. The only complaint I've got is that sometimes my gelding pees on the belly strap -- no idea how to solve that. But overall an excellent fly sheet system and I'd definitely buy it again.

Top choice all around!
I have over 22 years of experience in the equine industry in a variety of aspects including being well-versed in the blanketing/fly sheet aspect. A current horse of mine has proved to be very difficult to fit and after many trials with various styles I finally ordered the Rambo Protector. The number of stars this sheet has received prove true. It is a great fitting fly sheet, versatile in even high temp use, stays straight, and has not caused a single rub. My mare has a decently long mane and I have not had a single issue there either. It covers her belly well and does not bunch up where it overlaps under her belly. I definitely recommend sizing down one size for your average build and possibly 2 if you have a very narrow-built horse. My mare is a very dark color and this definitely helps to keep her cool and prevents sun bleaching as well.

Nice fly sheet but didn't fit.
My Andalusian mare is pear shaped with a large belly. The belly coverage of this sheet did not work at all for her. The two sides didn't come close to meeting, let along connect with the velcro. I had a suspicion that would be the case but hoped I was wrong. Its a very nice sheet, if your horse is the right shape!

I really wanted to like it but...
I have bought a few Rambo Protector Fly Sheets through the years and they have fit a variety of horses with different conformation but sadly the new one doesn’t. My mare had rubs on both shoulders and in the middle of her chest where the snaps are in a few days, vey disappointing . I wanted to like it and just can’t understand why they changed a sheet that worked for everyone.
