Cheap, stiff leather! Save your money
I tried my friends Micklem multi bridle. My horse loved it. He was soft and round and jumped like a dream. I ordered mine and was very disappointed. The leather was stiff and hard. I tried twice now to soften it up with warm neatsfoot oil with minimal success. The browband was much shorter than my friends (her miklem is only 3 years old). My horse goes inverted and tosses his head at the walk! I tried jumping him but he has started tossing his head.

Well made!
I purchased this a month ago as a first time buyer and it was nice quality and stitching. Very pleased.

Horse loves it, and it looks good!
My horse has been going really well in this bridle so far! I wanted a micklem but didn’t love the price point for the competition versions and I also wanted the option to try it bit less (i haven’t tried this yet). I plan to take a saw to the lunge ring on the nose for competing in. I don’t need to use it for my horse and I am suspicious a very naughty horse could rip it out of the leather anyway. I think the leather quality is quite good, yes it starts stiff but it feels sturdy and after conditioning and using it is breaking in well. No complaints, I was also worried about sizing and it isn’t perfect but it is working. The L shape sits right under the cheek bone as advised and the bit sits in a good position too, with the noseband not too low. I had to use the smallest setting on some parts of the bridle and the loosest setting on some parts of the bridle which is weird however there is a great deal of variability with the sizing so I believe it will work for a lot of horses. I got the regular size for my average OTTB mare.

Poor Quality
I purchased this bridle in May. It broke in early December while I was riding. The leather used to keep the parts together is thin and unreliable.

Terrible Quality
I have the nicer show version of this bridle and I like it better by far. This one is the cheapest leather and why is the hardware brass color instead of silver? I have used the bridle maybe 30 times and the leather is cracked and coming apart. THEN the pieces that are sewn on to hold the bit came off. Love the Micklem style, but save your money on the multi bridle. So disappointed.

Love the ring for lunging!
I love this bridle for young horse starting. It supports the bit in their mouth and the ring on top of the noseband allows me to use one piece of equipment instead of adding a lunge cavesson on top for pre-ride ground work.
I would love to give it 5 stars but the leather is frankly horrible - its thick and stiff like a really cheap bridle. I oil them often but they still are hard - it's almost like a tough leather is underneath and a thinner on top, because where it bends there are a lot of creases like cardboard. I've also had stitching come off in a few places. 2 keepers are already broken on the one I bought last summer and it has been used maybe 45 rides.
The leather is also very wide for the under-bit piece and I would think a thinner piece would do better where you have less room for a big strap. I have big warmbloods so less issue there, but on a dainty-nosed arab that could be an issue and cause rubs.
Again, the design is brilliant and comfortable for the horse. But the quality is not worth the price I paid.
I have not used the bitless options so cannot speak to that.

Awkward fit and terrible quality leather
I’ve had this bridle since fall and my mare goes well in it but it’s really awkward. I got the large because the other size sold here was too small for her cheeks. Well the large barely fits her cheeks but the rest is enormous. So I really needed both sizes and mix and match, which is ridiculous for the cost. Rambo won’t sell parts either, I emailed them. The leather never gets soft and is stiff and weird. I’ll probably try to sell it and get a Dr Cooks. MUCH nicer leather for less cost!

Not what I expected
I bought this bridle a month or so ago and was disappointed. The style is really nice, however, the leather and stiffness were substandard. It did fit my Arab, as I bought the cob size and I do realize leather like that needs to be oiled will before it starts to get more supple. My problem was the non quality of the leather, not to mention putting the leathers on for the bit was a challenge. I didn't like the rubber reins as they are stiff and bulky. We all know hindsight is wonderful. I sent the bridle back and purchased the Rambo Micklem deluxe show bridle to try. Should have done that the first time. In true SmarkPac fashion the response was immediate. Sent the Multibridle back and withing the week had received the new bridle. I'll save that review for another time. Thank you SmartPac for your care and feeding of us equestrians.

Great bridle
Have a better connection with my Tb mare using. She has become more supple and less "wiggly" and zero head tossing. LOVE that it can be adjusted to use as a bit less and I don't have to use a separate bridle.
