Easy to use and seems like it works
Rain Maker is easy to use and apply. I've used it and Horseshoer's Secret together off and on through the years. They seem to work, but who knows how much they actually do.

works well, nice and thick
My trainer recommended Rain Maker and it is a very nice product. Goes on thicker then other hoof oil I was using and stays put longer. We got it to support hoof health when his hooves showed signs of peeling. I plan on using it to dress his hooves for the show ring also, it stays on well. In the short time I have been using this product his hooves seem better already. I will continue to use this product to maintain good hooves.

Great for sealing in moisture!
I love this stuff. I've used if for years and alternated between this and "tuff stuff". This stuff is great during the dry summer months to keep hooves from cracking and to lock in moisture.

Great quality!
I was using another hoof conditioner every other day this summer because of how dry it has been, but with Rainmaker I have been able to cut back to conditioning twice a week and my horse's hooves look better than before. So overall, more bang for your buck!

Just Perfect
I have tried this on my horse who had bad hooves (as a prescription from my farrier) and totally loved it. There is just nothing wrong that i can say about it. It makes the hooves healthier, look more shiny and it just gives a moisture effect to the hoof like it should. It comes with a brush so you don't have to worry about buying anything else. You must leave the horse on cross-ties for it to dry (you can't go outside or in the stall) for like 10-15 minutes, which is not a problem though. Good pricing too!

Product Works
This is the first time that I have used Rain Maker. My mare's hooves chip, especially the rear which don't have shoes. I have definitely noticed an improvement since using this product.

my go-to hoof product
My mare is barefoot and her hooves used to get all chipped up and would get vertical cracks. I use this 3 times a week and boy do I notice a difference. I apply it everywhere; frog, bulbs, coronary band, all over. Her frogs are also more pliable and not hard and dry. I like that it's something I don't have to apply on a daily basis, since I'm not able to be at the barn every day due to my work schedule. In the cold weather it does get really thick and hard to reach with the brush but I simply let it sit in the sun while I ride and that seems to do the trick.

great product but the container/brush needs though
This has always been a great product, I usually avoid getting it though because I really dislike trying to get the product our of the container with the brush. I tried the product again because of our dry weather/dry hooves. I still hate the applicator can. I think I will scoop it all out and just use a plastic food container with a paint brush!

Great product!
I bought this product a little over a month ago and I am so happy with it. My gelding's hooves are no longer dry. I absolutely LOVE that this is safe to put on the coronet band, as most other hoof products shouldn't be. Great product, I'm very happy with it.

My Absolute Favorite Hoof Treatment!
I've been using Rain Maker for as long as I can remember, at first just because it's what everyone else was using, but once I had horses of my own (and was buying more grooming supplies) I really started to appreciate it. My current horse has pretty solid feet, but like any horse, his hooves are still prone to vertical cracks: I use Rain Maker a few times a week for regular maintenance, and it's worked like a charm. Keeps my guy's hooves pliant and looking pretty!
I've found it to be a great value for the price too. The only really comparable product, in terms of ingredients, is Hooflex, which costs about 10 cents more per ounce, and doesn't include aloe or natural proteins as does Rain Maker!
My ONLY complaint about Rain Maker is the consistency. It gets very thick and sticky in cold weather, and is difficult get the last bit of dressing out of the can, as it sticks to the bottom and sides. I usually just cut it with water or a small amount of rubbing alcohol, but it is definitely a bit of a pain.

Great Product
I have purchased it for many years - I like how easy it is to paint on and how thick it is...doesn't evaporate in the heat or harden in the cold.

Works well
Works well and doesn't make the hooves too moist. Pretty easy to use too. It is harder to use when it's cold- so I try to keep it in a heated area during the winter. I think it works better than Hooflex.

Very Effective for Dry Hooves
Between stomping from flies and very dry weather, my horse's feet have been extremely dry, hooves proned to cracking (no shoes). I put Rainmaker on twice a day to help his feet between farrier visits. This product does the job and his feet show the difference, they are visibly moisturized and do not crack as easily. This product smells like BBQ sauce, but it works!

My Farrier's Go-to product
I've used Rain Maker on the advice of my farrier for several years. It, and judicious rasping of messy edges, keeps my barefoot guys in sound hooves during our dry summers.

Conflicted...
I like Rain Maker and I don't.
Pros: great hoof sealer before a bath, I think it smells good, easy to apply
Cons: pricy, stains clothing, inconsistent consistency (hard paste in the winter, liquid in the summer), makes hooves gunky if used daily
I used to use it daily, but my horses hooves got gross (like to the point where I didn't even want to pick them up to clean them!). I now use it maybe once a month if I run out of my other stuff or if I give him a bath.

Great hoof product
Rain Maker leaves my TB's hooves looking good for days after just one application. They were looking dry, and even though my ferrier said they were fine I wanted to give this a shot and I'm glad I did - his feet just look healthier now. And you don't need to use a lot so the container should last a while, definitely worth the money.

My favorite hoof moisturizer
I have tried alot of hoof balms and this one is my favorite for its value and effectiveness. Living in Florida, sand cracks are always an issue, especially with my barefoot horses, and this really pack on the moisture, plus it lasts along time too (I can have a bottle last 6 months on one horse and that's applying several times a week!). I recommend wetting the hooves before application as it helps lock in the extra moisture.

Great Stuff!
My horse has always had healthy feet, but on occasion they chip or crack. I started using rain maker (once or twice a week) and his feet are healthier than ever, never crack, and never chip! I stopped shoeing him and just keep him barefoot now! It is a little pricey, but it definitely can save you money! To bad some gets stuck at the bottom and you can't get it all out... But a can lasts a long long time!

Too Much like Jelly
The consistency changes depending on the weather. It does do a good job of protecting hooves though. I just don't like how it gets so jelly-like, once you have used most of it it sticks to the bottom of the jar.

I've used this dressing on my horse's bulbs and underside of their feet when the weather is really hot and dry. It seems to protect and moisturize from dryness and cracking, preventing existing chips from getting worse. I like to apply it right after riding and untacking, giving the feet about 10-15 minutes to soak up the hoof dressing before walking back to her stall (which by that point prevents it from just coming off with the dirt when she walks). I would probably recommend this product.

Only thing I use on my horse's hooves
I like to put this on in the spring and fall during the "muddy season" since my horse's feet dry out the most then. I like to put it on and let is soak in for 10-15 minutes before I let him get shavings all over it in his stall. It works well to put it on before giving them a bath because then it sticks and doesn't wash off.

Best product for a horse pedicure!
We use this on our horses hoofs to help keep them healthy. It has helped with cracks and dryness of their hoofs and our farrier was impressed with the results.

Yay or Neigh? Neigh!
I recently tried Rain Maker on my horse's hooves. I really wanted to like it, but after reading somewhat mixed reviews I didn't know what to expect. It definitely did it's job, but it has a very unpleasant smell and it attracted a ton of dirt and shavings. I suggest possibly putting it on before grooming to allow time for it to dry. I applied it right before putting my horse in her stall and moments later her hooves were coated in shavings. When I waited for it to dry, it turned out much better but still caused a little build up. While I kept it clean, because it's a little greasy it also had some build up on the brush as well. I wanted to like it, but I think I'll look for another hoof conditioner!
