The gallon size leaked everywhere
It's pretty effective spray BUT after ordering I learned that this product kills pollinators. And the container leaked really bad, there was a crack in the bottle. The box was soaked through and it kept leaking until I dispensed half of what was left.

Pyranha
The strength of the product is effective, but the squirter isn't adjustable, so you must be close to all areas you want to hit with the liquid. I usually mix a concentrate with water in a bottle that has the dial to adjust close-up and far-away squirts, but I like to switch up products during the season and remembered that Pyranha was good.

Fly spray
Bought this fly spray because it says kills ticks...which are really bad this year...seems to do the job, because I haven't seen another tick on my horse since I started using this fly spray!

Had high hopes...
I had been using Super 7 fly spray but thought I'd give the Pyranha a try since it got great reviews. I have found that it is slightly less effective as a bug repellent, but the worst part is, it seems to leave a greasy film on the coat that EVERYTHING sticks to. I'm sure I notice it more because my horse is white, but it's a major annoyance - my horse comes in filthy every single day. I believe it's a combination of him rolling more because the bugs are bothering him + the stickiness of the spray = giant mess. No likey.

Only fly spray that works for me in PA!
A friend uses the oil-based (yellow bottle) version of this and on her recommendation I went for the same brand but I wanted less dust. This is my second fly season using this spray and I'm thrilled. I immediately notice flies stop landing on my mare the second I apply this product, unlike other products I've tried in the past where my horse could be freshly sprayed and still stomp their feet. In fact, I sometimes groom my girl's legs first so I can apply fly spray and keep her from stomping while I tack up! The bottle DOES warn you not to get this on your skin so I spray it onto my soft brush and go over my mare with it. 4-6 sprays covers the whole horse and even after I put her away bugs leave her alone in her stall.

Best of the bunch!
I'm in charge of 17 horses as well as my own personal horse so every year I look for the best options to keep them fly free. I tried the natural stuff (smells nice, flies think so too), the toxic stuff (kills flies, and my lungs), and the smart pak stuff (I love you Smartpak, but my horses hate that fly spray so much that they cough and run away from it). This stuff got the best reviews and now I know why. Horses like it, doesn't make me feel like I'm going to suffocate or get cancer, and it actually works too! What a concept! Pyranha + Me 4FR

Best spray yet!
I've tried many, many sprays and this one is a keeper. I like the smell, ease of use and the fact that it actually seems to relieve my horse. Can't speak to the comparison of it's oil based relative, but I have ditched Tri-tech and will be sticking with this guy for the rest of the season.

dissapointed
I thought I would try this instead of the other spray we have been using. Honestly I dont think this spray works very well. I noticed that even right after spraying the bugs Ie. green heads/ horse flies etc still bothered my horse. People were correct in that it doesnt attract dust and dirt. I think I will go back to the other one we were using before.

Works Okay
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It seems like over the years flies have become resistant to fly repellents, including this product. That said, it does repel flies to some extent, hence the review title "Works Okay." Perhaps rotating fly repellents might help?

A Fly Spray that Works
I bought this after a recommendation from a barn friend who uses the yellow Pyranha spray. I decided to go with the water formula so it would attract less dust as that was her only complaint about the yellow bottle. I think this spray actually does work and it does not collect too much dust on your horse. I notice less bug bites on my sensitive skin horse which makes me very happy. This will be the only fly spray I use from now on.

Best Fly spray yet!
This is the best fly spray I’ve used! Love that it’s water based. With the oil based sprays we all know that look of the dirt heading up on the oil. That does not happen with this spray! And it works! My horses get immediate relief from the bugs! My only issue was the first bottle broke in transit and I had a soaking, leaking box arrive on my porch. Of course, smartpak immediately sent me a replacement!

Great fly spray
I have used this for a couple of years on my 3 horses. It really does a nice job of keeping the biting flies away from them. Love it! And the nice lemon scent too.

Great for sensitive skin
I've been using Pyranah fly spray for years. The oil based spray started making my Arabian's skin peel. I switched to the water based and no more peeling skin. I have tried more "natural" sprays, but none compare to Pyranah!

Good But Not Great
After using Pyranha in the yellow bottle for years, I thought I'd give this formula a try. I really like that it doesn't attract dust like the other formula (yellow bottle), but it doesn't seem to be as effective.

Love Pyranha
Pyranha brand fly sprays are the only fly sprays that I will use now. Nothing else works! My horse is extremely sensitive to flies and this has been a big help.

Works great and does not attract dirt!
I had been a very loyal user to the original oil-based Pyranha Spray & Wipe, however I wasn't a huge fan of the greasy texture and the dirt/dust/grime it would attract to my horses. I tried this water-based version thinking maybe it wouldn't be as effective, but it is! Not only does it work just as well as the oil-based spray, it does NOT attract dirt to your horse, which I LOVE, and you don't have to use so much of it! The effectiveness lasts through my entire rides every time. Definitely my favorite spray!

Not to be confused with Pyranha Wipe N' Spray...
Pyranha Equine Spray and Wipe is effective and durable. It doesn't last for the 7 days the manufacturer's literature claims, but I can get at least two days out of a single spray-down. This "water-based" formula doesn't cause welts on horses that react to Pyranha's other flyspray (Pyranha Wipe N' Spray). Aside from inventing the most-confusing naming scheme in history for these two products, Pyranha seems like an honorable outfit. If your horse has a reaction to Pyranha's oil-based fly spray, give Equine Spray and Wipe a try. When you shop for it, though, be sure to read the label carefully and pick the right formula. Equine Spray and Wipe comes in a blue container. Wipe N' Spray is bottled in yellow.

Pretty Disappointed
I was recommended this by a couple different friends and I have to say I'm pretty disappointed. I have used endure for years and switched to this because it is less pricey- I immediately switched back once the bottle was gone. My horses had flies all over them immediately after application. It did help a bit with the no see ums.. but not much with regular or horse flies.
