Rated 1 out of 5 by Summer from Loved them...but broke too quickly Incredibly disappointing. I LOVED these boots, they fit my semi-retired senior gelding great and you could tell he benefited from the extra support they provided him. I would have given them 5 stars! But, it was too good to be true. One boot's strap started fraying after a couple rides, which wasn't a big deal to me. But then, much to our disappointment, that boot's strap ripped after only about 20 light rides. I can probably get another couple rides out of it before it goes completely, and maybe a few more if I sew it, but it really sucks. The other one is holding up great, so perhaps I just got a defective boot. But, I can't justify paying another $70+ dollars for a new pair that may break again after only a handful rides. I had a pair of these about a decade ago that lasted for years with 5+ rides a week under much harsher work and terrain, so I was expecting these to last with the light work we do now on good footing...but I guess not. A major bummer.

I use these boots on my horses when we go out hacking or trail riding. I love that they help support my horse's tendons and ligaments, while also offering protection from interference. My 16.2-hand Thoroughbreds wear a size large on their front legs and they fit perfectly. I simply hose them off after rides and let them air dry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SmartPaker Danielle from Simple & Effective My gelding is not very tall, but he is certainly stocky and has thick legs, which makes booting a challenge. It has not been an easy task to find boots that work for him, but these fit the bill! Unlike newer SMBs, these are not form-fitting, so they are perfect for his legs. Not only are these SMB IIs economical, they are also easy to put on, and can be hosed off after use. Very happy with this purchase!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Emma from Awesome boot for schooling protection Looking for a boot with extra support and protection for my Thoroughbred gelding. I normally school him in dressage with a lot of circles and lateral work in all three gaits. After a couple of rides I can say I and really satisfied with my purchase. My gelding is 16.3 hands and he fits perfectly in the mediums. I also got charcoal grey and the color is just gorgeous.

Rated 1 out of 5 by namg3 from Made my horse go lame I bought these a week ago, because my horse was allergic to his old boots, so I got these instead. They were great at first because they got rid of the rash and were good for his legs, but then they made him go lame. These boots are like ace bandages when you put them on at first they are snug and good, but then they tighten up and cause the leg to prevent blood flow and etc. My horse is now lame for a few weeks because of soft tissue damage. I do not recommend.
