Tough and long lasting
I bought my first set for my Eventing horse 10 years ago and though they show signs of the hard wear they were given, they are still stafe and usable. I bought this second pair because my new Eventing horse because he needed a larger size.
I love the air flow system and the lack of water retention. They fit the shape of the horse leg beautifully.
These boots clean up well; a quick application of leather conditioner help keep the boots in good condition and looking good.

Insanely Good
I bought these boots for a horse who was having reoccurring splint problems. Although the blue panels don't look great in my opinion, these boots were so good at protecting my horse's legs that it didn't matter. She did not have one knocked splint after we started using these boots. Highly recommend.

Love these boots - but Hinds run large.
My daughter's horse is just learning to jump & tends to knock himself a lot. These boots offer great protection all the way around & are not too hot either (100F is not uncommon during the summer & he doesn't seem to sweat in these). He doesn't mind wearing them, either.
My only complaint is that, while the Mediums fit fine in the front, they were too large in the back - and Horse is 15.2 & large-boned. SP doesn't carry the Small size, so I ended up ordering those directly from Premier Equine. (The Smalls did work).
We tried several boots, and these were the favorite/best for our needs.

Sizing is accurate!
Don't do what I did and listen to the reviewers who say these boots run large! I bought the size small for my medium-sized horse and had to exchange them for mediums! The boots are accurately sized!

Could be great but didn’t fit
The fronts fit great! I got a medium in them. However, I got a medium in the hind legs and the covered over half my horse’s leg. Exchanging them for a small to see if they will fit.

Great XC boots!!
I bought these because I had already purchased a pair but they didn’t fit my new horse....... still same amazing quality and I trust them to stay on my horse. They do run big tho my 16.3 OTTB who has very large legs wears a medium front and hind and my previous horse who wasn’t much smaller wore a small front and hind. Great product!! Very good quality.

Great boot tends to run large.
I’m currently the barn manager for a four star and two star rider and with a barn of 24 horses in varying level and demand on them I would suggest these for every single one. They are light weight and do not hang onto water they come off course and cool and light weight as before. The only thing you need to know is they run large. My horse is 17.1 and has larges for hind and mediums for front and they fit beautifully.

Great boots
I event with a 14.3 Welsh cob and love that these boots come small enough to fit her. They provide great protection and are soft enough that she's comfortable in them. They don't slip in the water and stay secure through a schooling session.

Stiff material in back of boot
Wanted to like these, but was afraid to use them. There is a very stiff molded u-shaped piece of support material running up the back of the boot that seemed like it would rub or potentially damage the suspensory ligaments/tendons on the back of the cannon bone if the boot were tweaked at all.

Nice boots that company does not stand behind
On the one hand, I really like these boots, how they fit, that they don't trap water, etc. (Note: They do run large. My large-boned 17.1-hand Hanoverian wears mediums in front and behind, which surprised me.)
However, I got what I think (and hope) is a defective pair because some stitching holding the strikeplate failed within less than 10 uses. I emailed PEI and even though the box says there's a lifetime warranty on the strikeplate, they told me: "Thank you for your email and sorry to hear you are not happy with one of our products. As you purchased these from one of our retailers you would need to go back to that retailer with this problem as your contract of sale is with them. They will then deal with this problem for you depending on their terms and conditions."
How is that a warranty??
Thankfully I bought them from SmartPak and they are sending me a new pair. I hope they can get something from PEI. Thanks, SmartPak!!!
Rating them 3/5 because I really do like them and hope this was just a fluke.

Great protection, lightweight!
Really great boots, I wish they made an extra small size as I ride and event a pony. The smalls are just a tad too big but I figure once they get broken in and really formed to her legs that some duct tape will help. they would tend to slip down on her after going through the water obstacles which is understandable but I'm sure if these boots actually fit better for her they wouldn't do that at all. I love these boots. They are lightweight and breathable, her legs weren't nearly as hot as they could have been schooling cross country in 110 degree weather!

Love these boots!
These boots were awkward the first time I tried them on my OTTB, I wasn't positive that they fit because they looked long and the velcro was not lining up with the air vents, but after my first two attempts, I got them on properly and they were awesome! My guy sweats A LOT and these keep his ankles SO much more dry than any other boot we've attempted

I bought these a month ago for cross country jumping. They are fantastic boots with great features. I love how easily they clean up, I just brushed them with a wet brush and hosed them off. They don't hold any water and most things don't stick to them. Cons are they run VERY big, I ordered mediums fronts for my 16 hand mare and they are big, I'm able to use them but just barely. Ordered small hinds and they fit ok, still almost too big around but length is ok.

Had to Return but Wanted to Love
Loved so much about these boots--the reviews, the vents, the wicking of water, etc--but sadly, had to return them. They did not fit my 17h Can WB no matter how hard I tried. The Large was up to his chestnuts and the Medium had a large gap between the velcro. Smartpak was great and let me exchange these for another XC brand that fit much better (the Majyk color elite) AND came in my XC colors.

HUGE- even bigger than I expected!
These look fantastic and the cooling features really sold me. I ordered the medium for my 16.1 TB gelding and they were just WAY too long on the hind boot. It went all the way up to knee and still went below fetlock joint to the point that I wasn't even sure he could move properly. I'm sending back for the small with fingers crossed because I really like the thick but light feel of the boot.

Just Too Big
I so wanted these to fit, since they came in "small." When the boots arrived, I thought they were nice, but looked quite big to be a small. My horse is 16 hands with short cannons, and since these were sized to fit a 14-14.3 hand pony, I thought they'd be perfect. They were too large-came up to the knee, and gapped at the fetlock area. I was really surprised at how large a small was. SmartPak is so great about returns, they were glad to take them back. I ended sticking with Woof boots because they fit perfectly. I loved these boots, well made, just too big!

These boots really do keep legs cooler. I bought the front boots to try first. On the first use I put the boots on the front legs and polos on the back legs. After light work the booted legs had no sweat and the polo wrapped legs had light sweat. Secessive rides w more intensity have consistently shown cooler legs under these boots. This is why I bought the rest boots. Highly recommend these boots..time will tell of course how they hold up but I'm entirely sold on the concept and performance.

Fit well
As much as I love these boots I ended up returning them. The hind boots were just to tall on the inside at the top rubbing the the inside of his hock. I returned the large which were huge and reordered the medium we were hoping they might be shorter in height but I had same problem so they were returned but sales agent said since I had used them they would not refund me total price. So buyer beware if you have a horse with any type of spavin I do not recommend the hind boots. The front boots are great however

Wonderful boots.
These boots are made of strong, durable, flexiable, easy to clean, and lightweight material that doesn't absorb any water! I love them! I have 2 sets, one in white and one in Black. Fit my 16.2hh TBxWB perfectly.

Great boots pity about the sizing
I bought these for my 16.2hh TB eventer. Hind boots were lightweight, well made yet flexible and looked to have great protection. Unfortunately they did not fit my guy at all. The medium were so long on the inside that they nearly rubbed his chestnuts. More disappointingly, the straps with the holes which are supposed to line up with air flow cutouts in the boots were at least an inch and a half short. I don't think he has particularly chunky or short cannon bones but they did not fit him at all. I phoned Smartpak and their usual great customer service helped me find an alternative (ProChoice Mesh) which fit perfectly.

Great eventing boot! Built to last.
I bought front boots for my "excited" and "athletic" tb and they are perfect. They are a combo of a tendon boot, but with protection around the entire limb. The horse that I event rips apart most boots (my previous packer horse wore Woof boots and they were amazing, but beacuse the horse I curently event is alot more animated and does un-planed ballet, he mangled my woof boots, but these Premier boots were built to last! I have used these boots for a season and a half, and they still look great. I have ridden through water with these and at the end of the ride, they are dry. They are truly hydrophobic. They are truly the best boots I have used, they protect not only the tendons but the whole leg, they are durable and STAY on with one of THOSE horses. ya know, the horse you stay away from in the warm up ring, these boots are PERFECT for that type of horse.

Great! But run BIG
I love these boots. But be warned they run big! My 17h Thoroughbred mare needed a size small especially for the hind legs. They stay on a ton better than SMBs or other all purpose boots

Lightweight, Cool Boot
My gelding is 14.3 with slender legs. The small front boots fit perfectly. The boots are lightweight and well ventilated. Some of the reviews claim the boots are bulky, but I disagree. I'm pleased with how easy this boot is to put on and take off. With the humidity in Indiana, it felt like 102 degrees today. After my jump lesson, the boots were damp but not warm to the touch. I've always used sport medicine boots, but the material locks in sweat and
water. I'm glad I ordered a front set.

Great XC Boot
These are the best cross country boots on the market in my opinion! The design and material they are constructed with is top notch. I have the white boots and they clean up perfectly. My horse is a 16.1 average build TB and the medium in the front fits perfectly but I would say the Huns boots are a little big.
