Plenty of length
I bought this for my 18 hand Percheron. There was plenty of extra length. The nose band was set forward a little too far but it doesn’t seem to bother him. It is very well made and looks beautiful on him.

Pretty, well made reasonably priced bridle.
I bought this bridle as a gift for a friend who says it fits her quarter horse well and he looks very pretty in his new bridle. I like the monocrown and padding on the crown, crank noseband and browband.

WONDERFUL!
I have had this for a few weeks, and I LOVE it! I bought the snaffle version. The padding is made of soft padded leather. Every strap is a nice length, though to me the throat latch and snaffle are a tad long. It's not a problem, you just probably have to use the top 3 holes. The reins are amazing, and I love how they are double sided. This bridle fits so well on my horse! I DEFINETLY recommend!!!

Very Impressed
This is the softest, most pliable, squishiest bridle I've ever owned. Very impressed with the quality of the bridle and the leather, well worth the price. Looks new after almost daily use for over a year.

Nice bridle for the cost
Nice bridle, well made. I originally ordered the larger size because my quarter horse has a huge block head- generally normal horse size tack doesn’t fit but it was way to big! Exchanged it for the normal size- fits perfect!!

Great for big heads!!
One of the best pieces of tack I’ve ever bought. Like most have stated this is bridle is very beautiful and seems to be good quality for the price and very supple right out of the box. I got this for my Friesian/Percheron cross who has a behemoth if a head. I’ve always had a hard time finding bridles that fit as most ‘draft’ tack is still too big yet full/oversized is often a wee too tight. I almost always have to punch extra holes in things. I got the oversize in this and it fits with holes to spare!!! I actually bought this to use as a double. As it is a monocrown with the nose band buckling on both sides I simply used an extra pair of cheek pieces I had on the nose band straps and put a different nose band through it and it works great!!! If I had any issue at all I’d say I don’t like that the nose band is a bit thin (I just prefer a wide one as it looks better on her giant head) as for the unusual rubber reins they definitely are different but I kind of like them. I did switch them out as I had a matching set since I made it a double but Since she is sometimes a baby sitter horse for kids the reins it came with are nice and grippy yet not stiff so I put them on her old snaffle for the kids! Overall this is a great purchase and you can’t go wrong!!!

COB too big for my 15.1hh warmblood /Arab stallion
This is a beautiful bridle and I had purchased it along with the Harwich pony bridle hoping that I could piece together a bridle that would actually fit my lovely stallion who has an 'exceptional ' head. He usually needs an extra large brow band but usually with some tweaking I can make a cob fit. Usually a cob noseband is too big which is why I thought the crank would be a better option. Here he had to be on the last hole. It all would have worked except with the fact that it is a mono crown piece , he was already on the last hole and with time as leather gives we would not have room to make more holes. This is why I hoped that the cheek pieces from the pony bridle might work but the buckles are too narrow. Unfortunately no cheek pieces that can purchase individually are short enough either .

The Best Dressage Bridle
I can't say enough nice things about this bridle. It runs slightly bigger than other manufacturers. Over the past several years, I have bought three of the crank version. The first one was for a 16hh TB mare who despite her height, was a daintier horse. The cob size fit her best. The second was for an older 16.3hh OTTB gelding and the full size fit him best (He is a big guy, and I was expecting the oversize to fit him, but the full size is plenty big enough). The third was for a 16.2hh draft cross gelding and not surprisingly, the oversize fits him. If you need the exact sizing information, look at the Q&A part of these reviews. SmartPak gives exact measurements for each part of the bridle in answer to questions. And to echo everyone else's reviews, the bridle is great quality. Based on years of use, it holds up to everyday schooling and cleaning. It looks good in the show ring. Great bridle.

Great features
I recently just bought this product after seeing a friend with one. I loved the rounded edges, the very soft padding, and the hardware seems like it will last a while. This bridle looks like it could be worth more than it is!

Fantastic leather , not true to size
Bought this for my 2yr old WB filly (who is considered a runt at her age), and the brow and and noseband were way too small. I couldn’t even get the noseband to close on first hole. I ordered a cob size and going to try out a Full size since I like the bridle so much but I’m worried the full will be too large.

Nice bridle
I just received the crank version of this bridle. My first impression was the leather was very soft and of nice quality. I like how the nose band buckles on each side and eliminates the strap over the head.
The reins are a bit thicker than I normally have but found they work well.
I purchased the Cob size and found it a bit on the large size for my 15.1 Arab. I have everything buckled at the top.
All in all I am very happy with the bridle. For the price point you can't go wrong.

Good bridle
I bought the horse size and it was too big so bought the cob. It is smaller and it does fit but hoping it stretches a bit with wear. But it looks awesome on him!!!

Beautiful soft bridle!
It is difficult to find a snaffle dressage bridle that doesn’t have a flash noseband attachment. This is a lovely bridle with buckles at a great price. This photo is of my dressage horse, age 21, on a trailride in the Manassas Battlefield National Park.

Nicer than I expected
I purchased this for a great price- I sure didn't expect such nice padding around the ears and nose band- seemed like a more expensive bridle, with soft leather, and great reins included.

Beautiful for the money!
If you're looking for a nicer show or schooling bridle, this is a great one. I bought this version of the Plymouth for my horse to show in and it's just lovely. We school in the regular Plymouth dressage and it fits him beautifully. He's 18 hh and the oversize works perfectly. Nice color, soft leather. I did change the reins out because I personally don't like them, but that's just personal preference. Looks very slick with a good cleaning and a little oil! We do lower level dressage and I got the customized embossing on it. :) Very happy with this product and would greatly recommend it for fellow poor horse girls looking to show on a budget!

Lovely leather
My first dressage bridle recommended by my trainer and it is beautiful soft quality leather and the reins have a slight rubbery grip which I prefer now to my old stiff braided reins.

Beautiful Leather
This is a lovely bridle. I have a 16.3 hand TWH. I bought the Oversized fit. It is very large. My horse has a big head and I have to have it on the tightest hole. I think that I could have done a size down. This bridle is a great value. Very soft leather right out of the package!

Just ok
I got this bridle to replace an older Harwich bridle that had seen better days. This bridle has a lot of potential. I like the padded monocrown and overall the leather is pretty decent for the price point. I don't like the reins that came with it. They felt bulky in my hands and they don't have stoppers. I switched back to the reins from my old bridle.
What is really driving me crazy about this bridle is that the keepers won't stay in place! I'm going to have to rig something with rubber bands to keep the keepers from sliding down. As it is the straps come loose and flap around. Ugh.
Overall for a cheap bridle it gets the job done, but it could be better.

Very happy with this bridle!
I bought this bridle last year, but just got around to using it (whoops!), and I'm super impressed! The leather quality is great, and way better than other brands in the same price range. It took a while for the noseband to break in, and it twisted around at first. I wish the buckles were a little smaller - they look very chunky on my TB's head, but I guess that's all personal preference. He did get a compliment at a clinic last week, so I guess it's clinician approved!

Very soft and pliable out of the box
I'm very happy with the quality of this leather out of the box. It was not stiff and only needed to be conditioned with leather balsam a couple days, compared to another bridle I bought that took weeks and lots of balsam to soften up before I could use it. This is my go-to, everyday bridle.

Very pleased!
I'm new to dressage. I needed a bridle to get me started this year and I'm so happy I found this. The leather is nice quality and soft right out of the box. I have a 15h QH mare and the horse size fit her nicely. I originally bougt the cob size, because she has a refined head, and it wasn't a great fit. I also wasn't sure how I would like the reins, but turns out, I really appreciate the grip they give me.

Got my guy featured on the SmartPak insta!
I've used this bridle daily for several years now and it still looks amazing! The monocrown makes it nicer for my horse and easier to clean and the padding is great! I clean it after every ride, but I'm still happy this bridle looks amazing after hours upon hours of use! It even got him featured on the SmartPak Instagram page! LOVE this bridle! (side note: I added the flash attachment, I bought the crank style though.

A nice bridle for the price
I purchased this as a training, and low level showing (eventing dressage bridle). It's softening up quickly and nicely. My one complaint is that while most of the keepers stay where they should, one refuses to behave and falls down multiple times a ride. Any advice on how to deal with that issue would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Fine everyday working bridle
I originally bought this in the Full size for my 14.3 APHA mare and the cheek pieces and throat latch were much too big. I exchanged it for the next size down in the Cob size and now the check pieces, throat latch, and noseband are barely large enough now. This will be a great training bridle, but the huge jump in sizes was discouraging. The leather is a nice quality and will break in nicely.

Nice bridle but had to buy two to fit my mare
I bought a cob size bridle for my warmblood mare a couple of years ago since the full size bridle I had originally purchased (different brand) was way too big on her. Now that she's fully matured, the cob noseband was becoming too tight, but the rest of the full size horse bridle was still too big for her. I solved the problem (but spent double the money) by combining the full sized noseband with the cob sized everything else. Now it fits her great!
