Horrible fit
As several other reviews have stated the fit on these is horrible. Once you start moving in them they literally fall off of you. Rode in them for only a few minutes before I realized it was showing my butt to the world. No belt loops on them so there is no way to hold them up. I will be returning them.

Warmth and style
The only thing I was not too happy about is the velvety lining pulled your underwear down lol
You have to tuck your top over your underwear to stop this from happening
Also belt loops would be a good addition

Fit
It’s great weight and feels so soft and cozy, but the fit is a little off the knees are slightly baggy while the butt is a little tighter which makes them just kinda fall down a bit. But I am short and the length is great for me.

One great other not so much
I bought these in the grey and absolutely love them so I ordered them in black and they will not stay up. The crotch is down to my knees in minutes. I don't understand since it's the same product just different colors.

Great quality, horrible fit, returned
Who is your fit model, Humpty Dumpty? Calves pull breeches down off waist, inseam too short to allow bending of leg without pulling down waist, waist so huge and floppy i would have to take in many inches. Hard to imagine a more ridiculous fit. So sad because the fabric and construction are beautiful.

Comfortable! Warm! Perfect!
This tight is perfect! It is so nice and warm! I bought my usual size, large, and it is perfect. It's a tiny bit looser than my other Piper tights, but I think that is good for cold weather. Plus, if needed, I can add a base layer underneath, and stay even warmer. These are very stretchy, so no problem mounting. Two pockets in the right place are perfect for phone and treats! The waist isn't binding, but stays up on me. I do not have a tiny waist, so finding riding breeches that don't squeeze me in half or expose me is important! Highly recommend.

Soft, warm material but useless fabric for riding
I’m 5’9 and 145 lb and usually get a L but they were too big so I swapped for a M. I tried them on and they seemed really soft, warm and comfy. So I took off the tags and wore them to the barn. Mistake. As soon as you start moving around they slip down and get baggy really quickly. There is literally no elasticity to them at all so are useless for riding or moving around. I didn’t spend $80 to be able sit on the couch! Now I can’t return them because I wore them so I am really disappointed. What a waste of money.

Fit is awful
In half chaps, the ankles rode up to my knees. The waist band rode down and pulled down my underwear.
Returning them.

Nice and warm but don't stay up
These tights are very comfortable and warm. Problem is they don't stay up. At first I thought it was because my phone was in the pocket but I took the phone out and they still don't stay up. If they had belt loops (which I may get sewn on) they would be great but without that, they aren't as nice as they could be. Really too bad because the pocket style/location is almost exactly what I wanted and they are soft and warm.

Good but
I think they are very warm my only complaint is it feels a little loose at the waist band. A little more stretch and snap back there would be perfect. I am not used to wearing this type fabric

Very Warm, Doesn't Stay Up
These are incredibly warm and perfect for harsh winters...if they stayed up. Unless you are standing in one spot without moving an inch, they completely fall down. They seemingly fit perfect, until you move. They're also a touch long, which really doesn't matter when you start to feel the cold air on your bum. Don't waste your time buying these. They're the partner you think won't be that way for you and then next thing you know you've got a plumber's crack and are one inch away from flashing your barn manager. I'd give anything to have these not fall down because the warmth factor is 10/10.

Fit very strange
I read the other reviews and thought surely mine would be the exception. I ordered a medium despite ordering large in most piper tights because of the reviews. Despite sizing down they were still loose in the waist, but just a little tight in the hips. I liked them pretty well in the house as yoga pants. Then came time to feed the horses. They kept twisting and the legs kept riding up, I can tell as soon as I’m sat on a horse the back of them will be much too low. So unfortunately I have managed to purchase yoga pants that will keep me more securely in place on the couch. Wish the fit wasn’t so weird because they do feel like they could be quite warm and would be a lovely winter breech.

Preorder suspenders if you’re ordering these
I read multiple reviews that described the waist as being too big and the tights pulling down. When I tried them on the waist fit fine and I thought there wasn’t a problem—until I started walking in them. They pull down because of the fabric. Not because of the waist. I would’ve sent them back until I tried them with a pair of suspenders ordered from Amazon. Problem solved. I wouldn’t order these unless you’re okay with wearing suspenders!

Love them..
I love these tights! The soft lining feels so luxurious and keeps me warm riding at night in 35°. Depending on the brand I wear a small to medium tight. I ordered 3, all medium, and all too large. Smartpak customer service reps are the best. My replacement tights (in xsmall) shipped the day they received my return. The only con I have, and why I give them a 4 rating, is the tendency to slip down and so I am frequently pulling them up, especially with phone in a pocket which did help when I removed it. Think I'll add belt loops to solve this - they're worth the effort.

Poor fit
I bought this breech for winter riding, the quality of material was good but poor fitting. Both the large and medium size would slide down my bottom, very annoying

No elastic on top, falls down
These were huge, I'm always a size S and these were huge. I could deal with being a little loose for winter in the leg, but there is absolutely not elastic band to hold these things up around the waste. Super low quality.

Great tights but run large
I’m 5’2”, 125lbs. short torso-long legs. I ordered a size small and can confirm that these run quite large and long. I wish they had belt loops, then perhaps they wouldn’t be to bad. I live in the upper Midwest so plan on layering in Jan/Feb. I’ve ridden in them twice now and they keep me pretty warm at 30F. Very comfortable and just the right amount of grip.

I really wanted to like these but I don't
I have worn them once. They arrived promptly and the fabric felt great. I tried them on and the fit was off. Waist large, ankle openings large, but manageable. I then rode in them, and never again. The large ankle openings left them ride halfway up my calves. The large waist sagged and wouldn't stay up. The silicone grip wasn't very grippy. Very uncomfortable in the saddle and miserable in the barn doing chores, as they kept simultaneously sliding down at the waist and riding up from the ankle. Couldn't wait to get them off. Can't really tell about durability as I won't wear them again so they won't wear out...

Toasty warm but Run Very Large
These tights seem perfect for winter - cozy warm, silicone grip to keep me in the saddle and nice stretch. However, beware , they run very large. I plan to wear a baselayer underneath them on extra cold days so I ordered a medium but they were falling off. (I usually wear between a small and a medium in Piper.) I exchanged them for a small but I They run VERY large. I'm afraid to go down to an extra small so I'm planing to have the waist taken in and see how it goes. The size guide is probably pretty accurate. I've been fooled so many times that I tend order larger rather smaller. Still, I like them so much I feel they are worth the additional cost of the alteration just to stay warm this winter.

Very warm and comfortable but fall down
I wear these pants every ride now because it's gotten cold in western Wyoming. I started out with L, but then exchanged for M, those are still too big in the waist and lower leg. I'm not a small person. For reference, I typically wear a 31 in most designer jeans. People are suggesting belt loops but that isn't appealing to me. Maybe an elastic, adjustable cord. Smartpak will have a winner if these pants are tweaked a bit.

Decent winter breeches
These winter breeches are super soft and warm. I do have pretty thin legs, however, and they ride up when I ride.

Poor fit
I wear many Piper breeches/tights. I ordered XL in these. they fit, but poorly. Big in the waist, like I know I'd continue to try to hike them up. If they had belt loops, then maybe I'd have been able to make that work. But even in the legs, they bunched up cause they just seemed to be cut funny. The inside material is more minky than I expected. I wanted to love these. I need winter breeches with a phone pocket. But I had to return. If the legs had fit better I might have ordered a L, but I feel they are just off in the cut.

Needs improvement
These heavy weight breeches have the potential to be great but fall short. Firstly they run a bit large.I’m 5’5 135lbs and ordered smalls. They are long and quite roomy so I could’ve sized down to an extra small. They also have a habit of sliding off my hips so belt loops would’ve been great. They have a good silicone grip that feels nice in the saddle and the fleece lining is warm and so soft. Overall these are okay but could be great if they had belt loops.

keep me warm
I ride indoors when the weather outside is 20F and above. These tights keep me warm from cold, wind and snow when I hike the 1/4 mile outside to go get my horse. I am usually hot after my ride and these tights help with that! They are soft, fuzzy and stay in place. I am 5'8", 155lbs and wear a Med. I wish they had more colors! Only complaint is the silicone dots start to wear off after a season or two - but then I can just wear them around the house as tight sweat pants!

Soft but fall down
I wish I could wear these - they are warm and the material feels very soft and comfortable, but even though they are snug in the butt/legs and the waistband FEELS like the right fit, they slide right down my butt when I walk or ride, even if I tuck in my shirt or try hiking them up as far as they can go. Very discouraging, especially since the next size down would likely be too small. I wish these had belt loops.

Very comfortable
These are warm and soft. They fit well other than around the waist. As others have noted, they are hard to keep up because the waist is so loose. I’m managing by tucking shirts in gor added bulk and grip.

Just what I needed, but runs large
Based on the siing chart, I orderd XL. But it was too baggy in the waist and, more importantly, in the knees. I exchanged them for size L, whch fits perfectly. They are comfortable and warm, and don't attract bedding and horse hair
