Comfort, style and function
I love the fit, comfort and style of these breeches. I receive compliments every time I wear them followed by, "Where did you get those?" The full seat adds just enough grip and the waistband smooths. I love the faux zipper front because I hate the bulk and discomfort of real zippers. I find them to be true 3 season breeches. I've bought both colors and wish they made more.

Love these!
These are now my favorite breeches and I cannot wait for them to restock! Super comfortable, just the right amount of grip, lightweight. I am 5’ 10” about 135. I typically wear size 26L and size small fit and is long enough!

Nice fabric, tight fit
I was hoping this would be a warm weather breech that I could love. I wanted the ease of a pull-on tight and fabric that is as supportive and shaping as a breach without the sweat factor. And, generally, I liked the light weight of the fabric. Unfortunately, as others have noted, the waist band is VERY inflexible. I struggled mightily to get the breaches over my mature woman hips and bum and worried that I wouldn't be able to get them back off. (Again, a struggle, but I did get them off.) These might be good for a thin, young rider but for those of us with a womanly figure, they are a no go.

Comfortable but....
I wore mine for the first time yesterday. I was extremely worried as I put them on...I struggled to get them on over my hips (I’m a tad curvy) because there isn’t much stretch in the waist. Once I got them on, they fit like a dream! I found the silicone to be quite sticky. My phone fit great in the pocket as I rode. I wish these came in more colors, then I’d be buying dozens!

I’ve decided I really like these
I’ve had these for awhile, and I have decided that I love them. Wasn’t sure at first—they felt a little plasticky—all the nylon and silicone—and they are. The full seat silicone kind of clacks together when you first put them on. BUT, I’ve ridden in them and done barn chores now for a few months, and they are my new favorites. They do run small. I sized up, per the reviews, and they fit great. They are just right—not too tight, not too loose. The waistband is very comfortable and it stays put with the sticky silicone on the inside. I thought it might chafe my skin, because I do not tuck, but it doesn’t. I am well into my 50s, and I have a curvy bum. I think these are flattering. I haven’t worked up a huge sweat in them yet, but they feel like they will wick very well. The full seat is sticky enough in the saddle for me. I can still post, but there is a nice contact for sitting trot and canter. These are going to be my go-to all summer, I can tell. I have the green. Would buy in a pretty burgundy plum, too (hint, hint).

LOVE these!! Please, please make in more colors!
These are my absolute fave. Lightweight and high quality. But the BEST feature is the silicone inner waistband. No more pulling up my pants when I ride...or any other time. Please make in khaki/tan do I can wear them in shows.

Way too small
Bought it, tried it on, returned it right away. I measured myself and bought the appropriate size and putting it on was like trying to get a sausage back in the casing. I might have considered keeping it anyway if it was going to help me stay in the saddle but as other reviewers had noted the seat seemed really slippery.

Fabric not durable
First, let me say that I could not wait to try these! I’m hard to fit, long waisted and apparently not meant for most breeches. I ordered these in my regular size and had to return for the next size up- not sure if it’s the silicone lined waist or the not-so-stretchy material, but the next size up fit well. Love the higher rise, belt loops (seriously, thank you) and the pockets. Don’t really care about the snaps at waist and faux fly on the front- they’re tights, not sure anyone would mistake them for actual breeches... which brings me to my biggest gripe... This fabric is NOT durable. I groomed and rode two horses, in the arena (not a trail ride) and these already have snags. At this price point, they should last a lot longer! The shiny-ish finish on these tights also reminds me of show breeches from the late 80s. SmartPak missed the Mark on these in several areas.

Great Riding Tight - Love the updates!
These breeches were a good purchase for me. I love the improvements made on these tights from their original riding tights.
What I like: The look of a zip & button closure with the ease of a pull-on tight; a pocket on each leg for phone (or treats!), the weight of the fabric is substantial and feels like it can take a beating, and the rise! I love that it's a higher rise that sits closer to my natural waistline.
Cons I found for these breeches: The knee and ankle areas are baggy on this breech. With other breeches there is a snug fit in both these areas that provide support and eliminate uncomfortable wrinkles. These breeches unfortunately don't give that "second skin" feel on the knee/ankle and look baggy and a little big on my lower leg. Also, the Silicone grip on the seat actually squeaks in the saddle! It does a good job of gripping, but it made me laugh that it squeaks against the saddle leather.
Overall I do enjoy wearing these breeches and would purchase them again. They are a great hybrid between a zip/button traditional breech with a pull-on tight. They look really sharp and are super comfortable when riding and working around the stables.

I thought these would be the perfect Pipers
I had to return them. I normally order low rise pipers because I am short waisted and the regular ones sag and bridge at the crotch.
I ordered these in regular fit because they did not specify a low rise fit available.
OMG, the regular fit is so low that the waist band does not come to my belly button, and yet the crotch seam is now modeling the oh so yucky camel-toe!
If I order them in a bigger size the waist will be too wide.
Otherwise these breeches are great.

Great Idea
The moment I saw these I wanted them. I can be hard to fit, between a L and XL and a 34 and 36, curvy with a smaller waist than hip. Sadly these did not work for me. I purchased the XL and they were just not comfortable, not a lot of stretch. I waist fit beautifully, but I would say more lower rise than a mid rise. The inside of the waist is lined with the same type of silicone that is on the seat to help them stay up and to hold your shirt in, great idea. I got the grey and it is a lovely color, better than the pictures. If you have a straighter figure these would probably be perfect for you.

Almost perfect!
I love the feel of these breeches and the high quality details. I am interested to see how the mesh pockets hold up. They are a bit tough to slide over my hips, but once they are on, they fit very nicely. The silicone full seat does not feel very sticky and made some noise when I first started posting, but I suspect that will go away as I wash and wear them. I have some Piper full seats with the silicone grip that feel like they have much more grip. The fabric was a bit thinner than I thought it would be but still looks nice and smooth. I got the Olive color and it is beautiful! Looking forward to having more colors to choose from.

Lovely color, run small
Just received these in the olive color and love them! Tried them on and they were a bit snug to pull up over my hips, but once on, fit fine. The waist is not very stretchy. I’m a fit, 5’8 150lbs. I thought they ran a bit short also, especially for Piper brand. I could have used another 1-2 inches in length. I have other Pipers in regular length that are much longer. I’m keeping them because of the great color and TWO pockets though. I just hope they don’t shrink when washed.

almost the perfect breech that is a tight
I love these. they are almost perfect. I am a large in the kerrits tight and also a large in these. i am 5'4 and 132lbs with a "mom" tummy. i love that these feel light a tight. nothing seems to stick to them. the mesh phone pockets on BOTH sides, swoon...
high waist - check. Actually looks like a breech - check, belt loops - check. I am only docking these one star as I am more comfortable for the day in my kerrits tights, especially in the crotch. I'm not sure why, maybe just the extra stretch or the cut. but these are worth a try especially if you are looking for a decent waistband. Nice job smartpak!
