knees are huge!
I really wanted to love these breeches. Nice weight, great fit EXCEPT for the knees!! I read other reviews but thought I would give these a try since I like Piper breeches. Knees were loose when I put them on, ridiculously huge after riding in them. I could feel them getting looser and looser the longer I rode. The pic shows after I took my half chaps off. Crazy!!

Not stain resistant or sweat wicking
I’ve worn these pants two times and already there is a stain despite washing and drying it in exact accordance with the directions. Furthermore, every time I have worn them my legs have become sweating and I only live in northern CA! That being said, I think that these breeches are extremely comfortable and flattering. Nonetheless, I am disappointed with this product.

Great fit, great price
This is my 2nd pair of Evolution Breeches. I love the styling and the price point and they fit perfectly. Best part (besides the choice of colors) is lots of stretch that holds up wash after wash.

So comfortable
These breeches are exactly what I wanted. I find breeches hard to fit for me, they tend to sag and want to fall down. These stayed put, were super comfortable and flattering. I love the fabric, its not too heavy but not too light for when its colder out. I definitely will be buying more.

Good Breeches but Stitching Could Be Better
I bought these for my daughter who is our company trainer because I love the professional look and the durability for daily use. Two of the three pairs I ordered were fine but on one pair, the stitching was already coming undone before we even took it out of the package. I feel like that will make that pair fall apart much quicker than it would otherwise. I would have contacted the company but I've been insanely busy and don't have time right now to ship it back.

Great except baggy knees
I can't decide if I will keep these or not - I love the technical fabric, the colors and the pockets - they feel like much more expensive breeches so the price point is amazing! I was super excited about these (thanks Smartpak!) as I love the regular Pipers but don't love the way they pill up after one ride. These shouldn't have that problem! The only downside is the knees are slightly loose so I'm not sure how they will bunch under boots. I'm afraid to to try them out in case I decide to return them but the rest of the breeches are so great, I might keep them... Fit TTS like all my Pipers!

Good Breeches!
I got this a week ago so I can’t attest to the longevity of this item, but I like them a lot! They are like the tailored sportsman’s trophy hunter and supreme hunter had a baby. The material and comfort is the trophy hunter, the fit is like the supreme hunter. That is the only downfall, they are slightly baggy in the knee area but fits good everywhere else. Did chores in them, water and hay stayed off and I only got minimal dirt that washed easy.

Ok but doesn’t fit
Pipers have never fit me well. It’s been a few years since I tried them and they still don’t fit. They fit in the waist but are too big in the knee.

Nice breeches!
Had an older pair of piper breeches that did not fit right (too low in the back). Decided to try these with the updated styling and stain proof fabric. Fit is great, waistband stays in place and doesn’t ride down. Love the new colors and fabric!

Next Level Comfort!
I’ve ridden in Piper Breeches for 5+ years, so when we came out with this new fabric option, I knew I just had to have them! And let me tell you, they do not disappoint. From the minute I put these on I was super impressed with the comfort of the fabric. It is a really stretchy, soft-shell like material that really moves with me both in and out of the saddle. With their shape retention technology, I’ve also found that the more I wear these, the better they fit and they provide a really nice amount of structure. The are just so comfortable I can wear them at the barn all day long and then don’t even feel like I have to take them off when I come home or change before going to run errands. Another one of my favorite things about the fabric is that it is water resistant, so even after getting caught riding in a light rain shower I didn’t have the feeling of being completely soaked and they dried impressively fast. The water-resistant quality also comes in handy when bathing, and I get more of a bath than my horse does. I also love that the fabric repels dirt and shavings. I have a hard time staying clean at the barn, but with these anything I get on myself (like poultice or my horse wiping his dirty mouth on me) literally just brushes or rubs right off! Perfect for all of us riders who like to wear our breeches multiple times in between washes.
I have been riding in these in Florida, where temperatures have been in the high 80’s and the weight of the fabric is the perfect thickness to help keep me from overheating. They are not thin by any means, so I think they’d also be great riding in colder temperatures as well. The moisture wicking properties also helps to keep me cool and dry even during intense rides.
I love how roomy the pockets are. My phone fits really nicely in the front pockets, with room to spare, so I know it’s not going to fall out when I’m bending over to pick my horse’s hooves or when I’m riding.
In terms of fit, I find these fit very true to size, I wear a size 26 R in my Piper Original’s and other breeches brands and that is what I wear in these and they fit like they were made for me. The rise falls right at my belly button, so for me I would definitely consider these more of a mid-rise. They sit comfortable at my waist in and out of the saddle and I have no issues with them slipping down. I always wear a belt when I ride, but if you don’t, these would still stay up great!
To clean these, I just throw them in the wash on cold with all my other breeches and hang them to dry.
Seriously, if you want a pair of breeches that can hold up to the demands of everyday riding and barn life, and are insanely comfortable you should definitely give these a try!

Awkwardly and weirdly misshapen calf
Awkward and weirdly misshapen calf, there is no way of getting around it. These are being returned. I do not recommend. They need to be redesigned. The fabric feels very nice and just what I wanted, but I do not need extra pools of it in my calf’s. For comparison all pictured are 28’s, both beige (new and old) are 28L, new are pictures 1&2, the regular piper (pic 3) is at least 4 years old, worn 2x in a row and dirty - so it’s relaxed a bit, the blue are piper knit( pic 4), and the green are Hadleys. These look even worse and bunched up in boots, as well as very uncomfortable with all the extra material. The top part fits great, for what it’s worth.

I am a tailored sportsman snob and I bought these breeches to add a less expensive but still quality pair of breech to my collection. I love them! They are a great fit with no waist gaping and the material is amazing, nothing sticks to it. The back pockets are also big enough that they held my phone securely during my whole ride. I loved the fist pair so much I bought a second pair.

Evolutions!
I just got these today and I really want to love them. They do fit great however they’re very “baggy” around the knee and bubble up and I don’t like that. They’re fitted around my thighs and hips as they should be and I like that. The fabric is nice and feels great otherwise. I’ll have to call SP tomorrow and ask about them.

Love these already
These breeches are very similar to the tredstep extremes which i love, but the price has been hard to justify. these are half the price! They don't pill like some of the other pipers and they fit comfortably! they are a great material and naturally within 10 minutes of putting them on i spilled my drink and it just beaded off the breech! Will be buying more pairs in more colors when they are available! They fit the same as my other pipers.

Feels high quality
I really like these breeches! The fabric is a much higher quality than the regular piper breeches and is comparable to more expensive brands like Treadstep. The fit is nice too. The description says low rise and I usually buy low rise breeches because I'm 5' with short legs so low rise tend to be just right for me. But I know a lot of people were complaining about low rise and these sit right at my belly button, so not really low rise. They also seem true to size.
