Knee's are baggy!
The material of these breeches I wonderful! Unfortunately , while they fit perfectly in the seat and thigh, and lower leg, the knees are really baggy! I think the breech is loose and baggy where the bottom of the breech connects to the outside smooth lower leg piece that is of a different material...its like it doesn't hug the leg in that spot so it sticks out. Its so unfortunate that they would fit everywhere else so perfectly yet are too roomy in this spot, where my knee is. I don't have an unusually small knee.... I normally wear the piper original low rise breech and have also found this an issue in the past year or two that the knees are also very baggy. I don't have this problem in other breeches I wear, which are , Schockemohle, Pikeur, and Euro Star. I would think whoever makes these would air on having the legs be on the snug side as the material is stretchy and they need to fit in a boot; as they are, these breeches will look baggy over the top of my dressage boots. I like them so much I may try to get a Taylor to take in the area around my knee and fix this issue, but not sure it will be doable. Rating wise, I rated these average in many categories as I didn't keep them and wear them so couldn't really say. I rated them poor as an option overall, because they just didn't fit....

Love them! Greatly improved
I wore the old pipers pretty much every day of the week for riding in my job. I didn't wear them because I love them so much, it was more that they were affordable, had a full seat, and they worked. The fit was never fantastic.
With these new breeches I love the material. It feels great. The fit is undeniably better. I'm a short, thunder thighs/smaller waist athletic build, (the kids today same slimthicc?) so often if a breech is big enough for my thighs it ends up with huge waist gap, and without a belt they fall right off. Not so with these new ones!
We will have to see how they hold up to full time groom work, but out the gate I'm delighted.

The fabric seems nice, but it’s not as stretchy as the original, so the fit just isn’t right.

A mix of Hadley's and Pipers Originals
For an initial roll out of a product, I think these are fantastic. I prefer the technical fabric to original Pipers and the rise is a bit higher too. A bit baggy in the calves for me, but not enough to notice under boots. Hopefully we get more fun colors soon.

Great if you don’t like regular pipers!
I was a huge piper fan when they first became popular but found that the quality had decreased over the years. Decided to give these a chance and I’m so glad I did! Some reviews complain about how they fit differently than other Pipers; and I agree! I ordered my usual size (28r) and they don’t feel like they’re suffocating my butt and the waistband feels snug without being too tight. Surprisingly not upset about the rise, I’m only 5’2 so these fit at a comfortable mid rise, about right at my bellybutton. Can’t speak on durability as they’re fairly new, but they appear to be well made and definitely don’t get as dirty as some of my other breeches. I’m buying another pair now!

Love the new Piper Evolution Breeches!!
I love the new Piper Evolution Breeches. The new fabric is so light and stretchy, I can't wait to wear them in the summer (I really don't believe I just wrote that!). They fit well and are super comfortable!! I wore them the entire day even after I was done at the bern. They did not get messy like my other breeches. Go get a pair!! I also love the contrasting stitching, super fun!!

These could be great, but the fit is weird
I was searching for white show breeches and ordered a pair of these. Good white breeches are hard to find, and really liked the quality of the fabric in white. I then ordered a black pair. I put them on and moved around and was like, "Wait, these fit weird." The crotch is strangely low and the seat has no give to it. I can't imagine riding in them. I put the white back on and realized they also have the same weird fit, although not quite as bad (Maybe it's a quality control issue?). Stand still, and they look great; move around, and no thank you. Dang! Both pairs are going back.

They don’t fit like Pipers past
I have several pairs of Piper full seats that have worn well and thought these would be good for warmer weather. I ordered the black with white piping in my normal size but they fit nothing like my other Piper’s. Definitely order a size up, but be prepared to wear a belt. The waist was gaping on these and the thighs and legs were very tight without much stretch. The full seat material is pretty chintzy and doesn’t have much grip. They also had a very strong chemical smell when removed from the bag that is still lingering after a wash.
Would not recommend, there are other options at this price point with better quality and fit.

Wanted to love them, but
I liked the material, but the cut is different from your Original Pipers. Theses were too tight in the waist for me. Above the knees flared out and they were just too baggy there. I ordered the same size as the Originals. I returned them and ordered a pair of Originals, which I love ❤️!

Technical and comfortable
There is nothing like your favorite pair of breeches and the Piper Evolution breeches just took over as first place in my top three breeches that I love to wear riding. As someone that rides multiple horses in one visit to the barn and also teaches riding lessons, I needed something that was comfortable, didn't lose shape when worn for a few hours, and versatile so that I could wear year-round and these breeches do not disappoint! Two features that I love about these breeches are the two functional front pockets and that they are stain-resistant. Having two functional front pockets is important to me so that I can always have my phone on me when I ride, and my horse appreciates the extra stock of treats that I have in the other pocket. I normally don't have time to change in between riding and barn chores for when I start to teach lessons or have to run errands right after I leave the barn, so having something stain-resistant is a bonus. It really is incredible to see any spills on the breeches come right off the fabric! Also, these breeches are much stretchier than my original Pipers. I was worried that this would cause them to lose their shape quickly but that wasn't an issue at all. I have worn these when temps were in the low-30s and my legs were not cold. They seem light enough that they won't be too hot in the summer, either. Just like the rest of my breeches, I've washed them in cold water with regular detergent and hung them to dry and they have held up great to that! Being a low-rise, these breeches sit right below the belly button for me. I normally wear a small or 26R (regardless of rise) in my original Pipers, Hadley breeches, and Tailored Sportsman Breeches, and a 26R in these Piper Evolution breeches fit perfectly!

Buying Another Pair!
Just purchased these and really like them! Was surprised at the other reviews as I am a big fan. I do not like the new silicone full seat britches, so was super excited to find some schooling britches without again! The waist was a bit big but always wear a belt so no issue. I am short, yet the leg length was perfect. So I could see the average person needing the “long” length. For the price point I think they are a great option!

Disappointed
I had high hopes for these but was extremely disappointed. The fabric feels nice but has very little give and they were so small in the thighs! While the waist fit, I couldn't hardly get them all the way up. I can't imagine how uncomfortable these would be in the saddle. They are well made and look super nice, but if you have larger thighs, these are a hard pass.

Its gonna be a hard pass for me
I've never tried Piper breeches, but have see a lot of fellow riders wearing them, so I decided to try a pair for an upcoming clinic. I really liked the look of the black ones with white stitching. First, let me say, that I tend to stick to breeches around this price point, so I was very surprised when I tried these on. The material out of the bag feels cheap and stiff. They were a little better after washing and adding fabric softened, but not even comparable to other $100 breeches I've purchased. The cut of them was just awkward and bizarre. I ordered my normal size in breeches, yet the legs and thighs were really tight and the waist was too big. It caused a sag in the waist and butt at the same time as being tight around the legs. I was constantly pulling the waist up. The crotch area also looked really weird. Like it almost lined up crooked? The material has very little give and and felt very constricting when I got in the saddle. I was really hoping I would like the Piper brand, but it's gonna be a no go for me.

So Small!
I just got these and was very hopeful! They are too small and too big but mostly too small! Also the measurements in the size chart are not accurate. For the size 30 it says the waist measures 31. After not being able to get them on and then looking at them and they looked small I measure the waist and it was barely 28". At the same time the parts I did get on were big (like the legs are pretty big) I will be returning them but figured the review might be helpful to other people checking them out. The material seems nice
