Fantastic for any price!
My horse says - thank you, no more rubbing, very comfortable, cushioned, no pressure points, stays out of the way of my elbow, nice easy roll hardware, ends stay tucked in, easy to clean and the only girth I don't pin my ears back when it is tightened. hallelujah

Only girth my mare will wear!
I have a very particular mare. She loves this girth. I’ve tried a couple other types and she lets me know before I finish tightening it how she feels. Works great, no saddle slippage, no rubs. I like that you can tuck the ends of the straps away. Easy to clean.

Girth that doesn’t slip
I had this same girth in a larger size. I like this girth for several reasons: 1) it doesn’t slip (fleece girths slip no matter how much I tighten)
2) my mare is girthy and “tolerates” this girth; doesn’t give her rubs or sores
3) easy to clean
Some reviews have mentioned the lack of keepers but that doesn’t seem to be an issue for us.

Good for the price
Have only used this girth 3 times so far but it fits as it should. The only thing that could be better is that the buckle roller does not roll smoothly. Gets the job done without any extra effort but it does not roll evenly.

Needs design adjustment
I would love to give this a higher rating as I liked the materials as well as the shape. But in my opinion there is a design flaw. There are no keepers above the buckles to keep the billet straps straight. As a result, the billets are slanted towards the rear of the horse while the girth slides forward. It seems like it would be simple to make the girth a little longer so that there is room for keepers. Unfortunately I returned the girth without being able to use it.

Did the Trick
For the first time ever, I had a horse that developed girth sores. An advanced dressage rider suggested I try this girth because it solved a similar problem her horse had. No more girth sores and my mare is very happy (or as happy as a mare can be).

I purchased this girth roughly a month ago. I was looking for a longer girth, softer but one that wouldn't break the bank. I like that this girth is easy to clean but does not get as hot as the "plastic" feeling Neoprene.

Exactly as advertised
The contours really do fit my mare and while it doesn't seem like it'd be super-stretchy, it does stretch throughout. Doesn't seem to rub or irritate. Very happy with this girth!

Love this girth
Works well to keep my saddle from slipping and seems comfortable for my horse. I'm reordering it while it is available as the one I've been using for over a year now has some mainly cosmetic wear in the cover but I don't want to be caught short.

Excellent girth at a great price
The elastic ends and the anatomical shape make this girth so much easier to put on and is more comfortable for my horse. It's a big improvement over the straight girth I had before. My horse is a bit of a muffin top and the old girth would slide forward into her elbows and pull the saddle forward. The curved shape of the Ovation girth doesn't do that. I wish I had bought this sooner!

Love love love this girth!
I had this girth but needed a bigger size as my horse had put on some weight (which is a good thing, she needed it). I tried many different girths and ended up coming back to this one just in a bigger size. I love this girth because it gives my horse room behind her elbows. The more expensive contour/anatomic girths caused pressure points along her sternum or were just too stiff. This girth leaves plenty of elbow room, the gel is soft and cushiony, it washes nicely, it’s a great price, and hasn’t given my horse any rubs. The fabric on my previous one did wear and look a bit tattered above the buckles after years of use but it wasn’t very noticeable. I also like the extended keepers that keep my billets nice and tucked in and away from my leg. I would highly recommend giving this girth a try. I’m sorry I wasted so much money trying a bunch of other girths when I should’ve just stuck with what worked. Lesson learned!!

My horse LOVES it but it doesn't hold up for long.
I purchased this girth about a year ago for my Andalusian cross gelding who is VERY sensitive and had been girthy for years before I purchased him to the point his previous owner could barely get a saddle on him. After some months of working with him to accept the saddle and girth he was still unhappy but manageable. I tried nearly a dozen girths including some very expensive ones. He hated them all - especially the expensive ones. The first time I used this girth he seemed a lot happier and the girthiness disappeared over the next month or so. Nearly a year later I can tack him up in his stall without even a halter on and he just stands there quietly. It's a great girth for fussy, girthy horses BUT, I am disappointed in its durability. After a few months of using about 4 times a week it had worn through the fabric at the ends and looked a bit ratty, hence the 4 stars instead of 5. If your horse is girthy, give this a try but be prepared to replace it a couple times a year if you ride a lot.

Nice feel, wish it were a bit wider
Overall I like this girth. I appreciate the gel, contoured shape, easy to clean, good price. I do wish it were wider so as to better disperse the pressure and it'd be great to have some kind of keeper above the buckle to prevent them from sliding in and almost off the back of the girth when attached to the saddle.

Wonderful Girth
This is my second Ovation Gel Body Girth purchase. I have had the older one for years, and is still very usable. Needed a different size and did not hesitate to purchase the same one. It is durable, and very comfortable for horse.

Appears to fit well
I searched for a short girth with elastic at both ends for my small horse and this fit the bill. I haven't had any issues yet, but will mention that it is difficult to clean my guy's white hairs off of it!

outstanding! soft and flexible
I bought this for a very sensitive skinned FQHA with a very forward girth channel and short topline. She is very very sensitive skinned and opinionated about everything. I put this on her and she had ZERO reaction. As if I had put nothing on her. It has so much give and movement and yet holds position beautifully because of the well placed padded areas. Can not beat this girth for daily use in hot weather on a sensitive horse. Do not order up a size, it's got lots of stretch too.

My horse loves this girth
I don't know a lot about girths, but my saddle fitter told me to get a "cresent-shaped" girth for my OTTB. I love the gel padding and my horse seems to like it too. He's been moving out better and seems more comfortable since I switched from a regular shaped girth - and it's much less expensive than a shoulder-relief girth!

Good girth
Bought this girth in order to ease up from the tensions that the regular girths seem to have. My horse is not all that tolerant and anyway I can aid her in not being hindered by tack the better. I like the girth, it helps to anchor the saddle and is more comfortable for the horse.

Great girth!
I just bought my second one. I've had the first one for close to a year and it is still in great shape in spite of riding 3-5 times a week. Washes by hand well. Stays soft. Does allow hair to become embedded in the "horse" side but this certainly doesn't compromise function. I bought the second to have a fresh girth for show season.
