This brush is okay as a finishing brush but not much else. It's a little too stiff to brush the face, but it's not stiff enough to brush dried mud off of the coat, so unless you're just giving your horse a quick groom without worrying about getting too much of the dirt off, I guess it's ok but not great for much else.

too soft
This is a very nice finishing brush, but it is way too soft for a body brush. Too bad, I like the nice thick bristles, but now I need to buy still another brush because I needed a stiff, not a soft brush.

Comfortable, great brush
We love the Oster comfort grip brushes. They are easy to hold and have the surprise benefit of making it so we can keep our gloves on in freezing weather, without the brush slipping around.
Great quality. Super value.

Great Brush for Wet or Dry Grooming!
I have a little obsession over grooming kits/supplies--I just love them! I've always known Oster to be a good brand of grooming supplies, but it was a little expensive. I've read many mixed reviews leaving me a little skeptical, but I took a chance! My horse has a medium thick coat and it was perfect for scrubbing dirt away before a ride or scrubbing soap into his coat for a bath. The bristles have held up very well so far, not a single break or bend! The appearance is very sharp, clean, and it looks professional. It's very easy to hold and soft in your hand. I would definitely recommend this! Everyone knows horse supplies can sometimes come at a price. Nothing is more disappointing than spending the money on a product you're excited to use and it leaves you feeling disappointed. You'll never have to worry about this! It's a little expensive, but if it lasts a long time and it works great it's worth it!

Great for baths
Ignore the negative comments--I don't know how it works for dry grroming but it is fabulous during a shower for getting rid of saddle marks or a bath to gently get shampoo down to the root Its bristles are just firm enough to lift the hairs so the water goes under but soft enough to carry the suds. We don't go into the wash stall without it.

Fairly useless medium brush
The bristles on this brush are too soft to be medium stiffness and they are overlong. The shape of the back seems like a great contour idea, but is actually very awkward when put to use. I was disappointed in this purchase.

Brush tapers off
This is a nice brush, but it's not the same width of bristles at both ends. One of the ends tapers off and I am not sure of the purpose. So far it does the job.

Decent Brush
I won this brush at a show (in a set of Oster Brushes) and they've lasted for a long time (about 5 years now). I do have to say that the brushes are kind of hard to clean and do loose bristles, but what brush doesn't?

Bulky grip
I've got small hands and couldn't keep ahold of this brush - either my hands would spasm from trying to keep a grip on it or I'd lose my grip and send it flying down the aisle. The bristles are synthetic/plastic which I'm not a fan of. It seems to be a sturdy brush though.

Just an OK brush
I won this at a show and used it for a few days and the bristles began to split and get really frizzy and weird at the base. I'm not sure how to explain it but I expected it to last longer. I stopped using it and it sat in my tack trunk for a couple years until my Mom started to use it with her new horse. It is a nice brush if you look past the frizzy and split bristles at the base! But since I won it and didn't spend any of my own money on it, I cant complain! I might buy another one of their products again.
