Rated 5 out of 5 by Horse Mom from Neue Schule Tranz Angled Eggbutt This is a beautiful and effective bit for my TB gelding. However, I do agree with the review that says that this is a squeaky bit. It's not the worst thing and you do get used to it enough to forget about it while you ride.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Amy C from Happy Horses! I decided to try this bit along with a comparable Herm Sprenger bit. Both of my young mares prefer this Neue Schule bit. The bars on this bit are really nice (you can choose from 2 different bar sizes in this model). It encourages contact and is soft. This is my new favorite bit for both my girls. Definitely worth the investment.

The bit is soft in the mouth, very effective & actually an eggbut (as opposed to the similar "eggbut" HS I ordered & returned because it is really a D-ring). Both horses are noticeably softer with this bit compared to a traditional snaffle. Worth the expense.

My mare loves the bit - truly give a nice feel and result! I typically stick with Herm Sprenger and Neue Schule has gotten my attention with this bit!

Rated 5 out of 5 by MTgal from Dressage legal, well made bit Well made, high quality bit. Moved from loose ring to this to reduce "noise" and improve connection / contact. Purchased for a young horse with baggage, but seems to like the bit when his brain is in the right place. I'm pleased with the bit and his changes so far. Wanted to share that "Dressage Legal" is on the tag - could not find that info before I ordered, but very glad it was on the tag. It's pricey...but this brand was the only D ring with the other features I wanted.

I'm a bit junkie/experimenter and have tried just about everything (including the more expensive Lorenzini's) and my horse is softest and happiest in this bit. The mouth is a perfect thickness, not too thick like some eggbutts can be, and the corners are smooth and do not pinch.

Although I never thought I'd pay this much for a bit, they are SO worth it!! My horses have come to love their bits, and are much happier in their work. No more head tossing--they actually seek the contact.

10 - The Neue Schule Tranz Angled Lozenge Eggbutt Horse Bit

Need to promote a true and consistent contact? If your horse is tentative into the contact (inconsistent), the NS Eggbutt offers the stability within the mouth needed to boost the horse's confidence causing it to seek the bit taking the rein forwards. Very beneficial for short tense necks. Also excellent for directional control. Unlike traditional eggbutts, with the NS Tranz Angled Lozenge mouthpiece, feel and response is not lost and the horse will not fix against the hand.
