Love Neue Schule!
I switched my young horse to the Team Up from the Verbindend. I loved the Verbindend because it helped me with the "whoa"; the Team Up is less severe and is now great for getting the "go!" It's a nice lozenge, double-jointed snaffle and fits my warm blood very comfortably.

Bought this bit about a month or so ago after doing some online research. I had been using a hollow mouth loose ring snaffle but then recently my guy was not wanting to seek contact as before which prompted my search to try a different bit. Love the money back guarantee with SmartPak so I thought why not give it a try! Immediately my guy was stretching down into the contact more than ever and he feels so much lighter in my hand as well.... not leaning on the bit but accepting the bit softly. Very happy with his immediate response so to me it is worth the money!!!

I.LOVE.THIS.BIT
I have a just turned 6 year old who has teeth (finally) coming in. He has been extremely mouthy and destroyed a happy mouth bit within 5 rides. He has started to associate the bit with discomfort and has been very resistant to contact which is extremely unlike him. This persisted even after having his teeth done by my vet. My trainer suggested either this bit or the "starter" bit by Neue Schule. After reading information about each, I decided on this one. The first ride was very interesting as my horse went through several moments of realization. "This is going to hurt!" "oh wait. this is different" "oh man, I kind of like this" "ok I love this". Now its not going to turn your backyard intro horse into a grand prix dressage horse over night but my guy has been happily taking his bit, relaxed in the contact and eagerly stretching down and out. I won't put him in anything else but Neue Schule going forward. Absolutely worth every penny.
Also for what it's worth, I owned a Neue Schule Verbindend bit for a previous horse. I used it 4-5x every week for over 3 years. It held up beautifully and shined up very well so I can vouch for these lasting a long time too.

Great Bit for Green Horses!
I bought this bit for an OTTB who came to me with a habit of getting his tongue over the bit. He was also very stiff in his jaw. After having the equine dentist and chiropractor out, I decided to experiment with a new bit by changing his stainless steel loose ring with a lozenge to the Team Up. I found that with this bit, along with the dental and chiro work, my horse is now much happier in the bridle. The tongue evasions have gone away, and he willingly reaches out to the bit into a light contact. I like how light the Team Up is and how easy it is to keep clean. The Salox metal warms up quickly and my horse always accepts his bit happily. I rinse my bit after each ride and it still looks like new after six months of use. Size wise, my horse goes in a 5 3/4", and I found that the 5 3/4" sized bit fit well. Overall, I'm very happy with this bit and am glad that I gave it a try!

Finally found the one.
My horse seems to hate having a bit in his mouth for no apparent reason. This is the only bit he is quiet with! I even tried a Happy Mouth bit and he didn't care for it. I'm starting to do a little dressage too so this is a perfect but to do all around work.

effective and comfortable!
My horse, a green OTTB, and I feel comfortable with this bit. He is confident with it on the flat and over fences. Since we started using the team up he's been going freely forward and hears everything I ask. I'm very pleased.

Pony goes well!
I like this and so does my pony . I think it may run small, so, be sure of your measurements. Our connection is becoming softer and he is reaching for the bit. Would recommend this bit.

I just replaced my horses last bit because the metal was beginning to pit and had some rough grooves beginning to form (12 years old). Researched several bits and found this one to fit my criteria; a gentle but effective bit and it got positive reviews from several sources I checked. My mare is light in my hands and balances well with her new Neue Schule Team Up Loose Ring bit. If she's happy then I'm happy!

Only Brand of Bits I use for my horses
I have two OTTB geldings who could not be more opposite in appearance, attitude, or work ethic, and through significant trial and error these are the only bits my horses like. And by like, I mean they both reach for the bit as I hold up the bridle, readily accept it, and remain so soft and connected it is unbelievable. No bit it magic, but this is definitely the Cinderella bit for both of my geldings. One gelding is a very hard fit because he has a low pallet, fat tongue and lips, so he really requires a thinner bit to properly and comfortably fit in his mount and this brand was one of the only ones I could find that made a bit thin enough for his mouth. I am thrilled Smartpak is carrying them- they are hard to find in the US and I hope they begin carrying some of the other bits offered by Neue Schule. I have had both of mine for going on 5 years of almost daily use and they are in perfect condition.
