The Mio® Turnout Blanket combines the quality you love from Horseware® with a value that can’t be beat. This blanket features a 600 denier polyester outer that is both waterproof and breathable to keep your horse warm and dry. Plus, a shine-enhancing lining will help to put a pretty polish on your horse’s coat. Additionally, double front surcingle closures, cross-belly surcingles, and a tail cord provide a secure fit while a tail flap adds protection against wind and rain. Finally, Horseware’s patented leg arches give your horse extra freedom of movement.

Rated 5 out of 5 by vbrownxo from A must have! I’ve had this sheet for five years, it’s my go too sheet for bad weather. It lost its waterproofing but I’ve redone it myself over the years. I wash it consistently, and it gets a very fair share of wear and tear and it’s in beautiful condition still. Would absolutely recommend.

Rated 1 out of 5 by JC Sloan from Lasted less than 24 hours This sheet felt flimsy right out of the box, totally different from the Horseware products I've bought before. The fabric feels like a light human windbreaker, not like something you would typically expect in a turnout sheet. I thought maybe Horseware knows better than I do and put the sheet on anyway. It did seem fairly waterproof, which is good. Unfortunately, less than 24 hours later I got a call from barn staff letting me know the blanket was completely shredded and was removed from my horse for his own safety, leaving him naked in a rainstorm. The pictures are exactly how barn staff found the brand-new blanket after less than a day! I know horses are horses, and horses sometimes rip up their blankets, but using fabric this weak for a sheet labeled for turnout is a safety hazard, not to mention a waste of customers' money. I gave Horseware the opportunity to make it right by honoring their one-year warranty, but received the response that this performance is within their expectations for their products. So, if you buy this sheet, just know that it will not hold up to any real stress at all, and that this is okay with the manufacturer. It might be fine for a senior horse who is turned out for a couple of hours a day and doesn't really move around. For playful horses or those housed outdoors 24/7, choose a different turnout sheet.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Bounce92 from Fatal flaw I have a horse that runs very warm and a rain sheet this light is a godsend. Unfortunately, he ruined two very quickly. They tear laterally (I will try to patch the less damaged one). My horse is very easy on his closes and most of the blankets are 8+ years old. Please keep working on the material Horseware Ireland! The horse world needs this product!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Meg S from It Might Be the Flimsiest Sheet I've Ever Purchase I usually buy Rhino sheets for my horse but I thought I'd try out something cheaper for just a rain sheet on winter days. He wore it once time before it was almost ripped in half. My horse is hard on his blankets but I've never had one shred like this. I literally just threw money away on this and learned my lesson.

The challenge is to keep him dry without making him sweat. We have found the weight of this blanket to be great but unfortunately, it ripped horizontally right across the shoulder. The size was correct - roomy, not tight. My horse is not hard on his blankets and typically has them for years. I just ordered a second blanket and hope it holds up better. Horseware Ireland - please see if you can make this fabric tougher - our shaggy babies need a TO sheet like the Mio.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Jocelyn from Flimsy sheet My horse destroyed this blanket the first time he wore it. All of his other blankets hold up fine- it’s not him. This thing is a piece of junk. I could tell it wouldn’t last before I put it on him, it’s so thin and flimsy. Should have returned it.
