Saddle Recondition
I bought this product in early January 2018 for a saddle reconditioning project. I've owned the saddle for 15 years, but (sad to say) it has spent the past 3-4 years in my shed, where it became dry, dry, dry and dirty and dusty. I used this product as directed, once each day for an hour or so, for three days, and alot of elbow grease and soft brush buffing. I think the photo says it.

White Residue
Does an okay job at cleaning tack. It does leave unattractive white residue all over if you use too much/don't wipe it down. There are better conditioners out there

Cleans well but...
I think it's a pretty good cleaner. It gets the leather nice and soft and a little bit goes long way. However, you have to be very careful to fully buff in or wipe off the extra cleaner off your tack or it leaves a very gross looking white residue. I'll continue using the product until it's gone but I will not repurchase.

Gets My Boots Clean!
I just ordered a new jar of Horseman's One Step and after glancing at the reviews I noticed that no one had mentioned how well it removes the dried on gunk riding boots can accumulate from " keeping on the leg". I do not need to use it daily but whenever I can see this accumulation on the sides of my boots near the foot this gets rid of it with minimal work. I also use it weekly on my schooling bridles, just wiping them off with a damp sponge in between conditioning. As for my custom saddle I prefer the Effax Leder Balsam products. But Horseman's One Step is economical, quick and effective for schooling boots and bridles.

My new go to!
My trainer said the same thing and I looked to see what she had. And i love her but she is a stickler so if she liked it I probably would. I just invested a nice piece of change in a Custom Saddle and my mare is a sweater, so when I get her settled in I can spend 15 minutes on a quick clean or use it for a heavy clean. My saddle is not only clean but nice and supple and my bridle is great. Even boots!

Hint: You only need a little!
This works well on leather that needs some cleaning and light conditioning. FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS. If you are getting residue, you're using too much or too often. You do not need to clean your saddle every day unless you are riding in mud or dust storms. I use maybe a teaspoon for an entire English saddle. Use a damp cloth or sponge, work it in well. Then buff with a dry cloth. Great product!

I've been using this stuff since I was a kid. It's quick and easy to clean tack with after your ride and gives all leather a nice shine. It also keeps my saddle sticky for rides, so I rub some on before I get on.

Great for those really thorough cleanings
I've used this product for years now and I really love it! However I don't recommend using it everyday. Ive heard many people complain about the product when they use it everyday because the conditioner in it leaves a residue and makes the tack sticky and gross. I'm a bad person and I don't clean my tack everyday, so when my tack starts to look dirty and dry, this stuff brings it back to life!

Very much dislike
Got this product to just wipe down my tack once I was done using it. It worked great for the first couple days and than it started to leave residue. I kept using it to see if it would stop but it just got worse. In the beginning this worked great for the first few days and than started to attract dust and leave residue.

Great stuff!
This is a great daily product for those in dry climates like we have here in Montana. I still like to deep clean and condition 2-4x/month with something more intensive (love Oakwood products for that) but this works great for something quick to get the daily dirt and grime off without bubbles that get stuck in crevices. It seems to be gentle on nice leather. My friends in more humid climates think this is too rich but here it works great.

Quick, easy, and fantastic
I've been trying a bunch of different kinds of cleaner/conditioner to see what could speed up my tack cleaning process, and this is by far the best. Also, a little goes a VERY long way in my experience so it is lasting me FOREVER. I've tried the Lexol cleaning wipes, but with the end result this gets, I don't see why anyone would bother with using two different wipes each time. Just unnecessary when there are great products out there like this.

great at everything!!!!
i got this about a year ago and i still have a lot left!! with this, remember, a little goes a long way. i am using a used HDR saddle and the leather was extremely dry, and really slippery. so i actually put it on everyday and it has gotten sooo much softer, and made the leather grippier, but not gunky and gross sticky. it did darken the leather, but it looks super nice! i put it on my tall boots, and it worked magic!

Love this stuff!
I love this stuff particularly for saddles! For bridles, it can get kind of gunky especially on braided reins...but those are never easy to clean anyways! My saddles absorb this stuff right up, and it cleans them at the same time. Leaves them soft and supple and doesn't take more than a few minutes! I do run out of the small tubs fast. You can probably do 4 or 5 saddles one time with one tub. But because this stuff is so easy, it's worth it!
