Cheap leather bridle from India
I knew this was from India before I took it out of the plastic cover. For $179.00 , I expect more from Smartpak. I'm really discouraged and discussed. Smartpak does state the bridle is imported, but for that kind of money who would think it is from the capital of cheap leather. Now I have to buy and wait for another bridle from some other company.

Not the best knockoff ergonomic bridle
I thought I'd try this since my horse gets rubs around her ears sometimes. The bridle doesn't offer enough clearance around the ears, which is one of the major purposes of the ergonomic styling. The leather quality is fair. It might work for a more refined head. As always, Smart Pak's awesome customer service made it easy to return.

My favorite bridle but needs one tweak
I absolutely love this bridle, and it fits my QH mare perfectly. The only thing I wish was different is that the noseband strap was padded. It's beautifully padded everywhere else - the noseband, crownpiece, etc., so it seems odd that there's not a pad under the noseband buckle. That's the only thing I would change; otherwise, this bridle is perfect!

Love this bridle!
I love this bridle and better yet my PRE loves it. The leather and fit are super and that little bit of bling really adds to the picture. I added leather reins but I know many people do like the web reins.

Super bridle!
I purchased a month ago and have loved this bridle from day 1. The leather is soft and very nice for the price.
The only feature that I wish I could change is the flash. There is not an option to remove the flash, which would be a nice feature.

Nice! Soft/supple immediately ....
I think it nice for the $... as for sizing... I would say it is sized generously.... i have a foundation built 14.3, 1200# gelding... he might have been able to use the cob. I have a other bridles in cob size and they “just” fit... too lazy to exchange for smaller... so this chunky guy is more than half way through the holes on the nose band. Thinking he could have been in the cob on the last couple of holes...

I got the horse size for my refined headed 16.1 OTTB. It fits great. I especially love that the throat latch is adjustable from both sides!!! It makes it so adjustable... I was worried b/c most horse sizes seem big or at least on my mare everything is on the tightest hole. The cob size is almost snug but this bridle is perfect!!

It Fits!!
We have tried the Micklem and the Schokemohle anatomic bridle. This is the first one that truly fits. Great for a horse with a large throat latch. The Schokemohle did work but the hooks for the bit kept popping and his bridle was falling off!! This bridle is very adjustable and is also beautiful and the brow-band really sparkles. A great price for a beautiful bridle.

Beautiful bridle.
Looks and fits great. My horse is a 15.3 Standardbred x American Sport Pony so he can be hard to fit but the cob fit him very well.
It seams well made and should last a while. The reins are really nice too, grippy without being super thick!

Great fit!
This bridle is just what I was looking for at a reasonable price! Fits my hard to fit petite mare quite well too! The only disappointment is the buckle on the throat latch was on incorrectly when I received it - I was able to fix it myself so I kept the bridle since I liked it so much. However, now the keeper at that same buckle has come apart already, just a matter if weeks later! I'm sure it was just a good in production and I really am liking the bridle otherwise!

Beautiful Quality Bridle
Ordered this bridle with highest of hopes it would fit my Friesian Sport correctly. I’ve purchased various other bridles in past year from multiple companies but hadn’t been able to find “the one” he was comfortable in. This bridle has turned out to be a perfect fit! The anatomical features of crown piece and noseband are perfectly shaped and nicely padded. The buckles (at least on noseband, and possibly headstall.. I can’t recall for sure about headstall) have rollers which I didn’t pay much attention to when purchasing but I’ve realized what a beautiful comfort feature this affords my horse when dealing with such sensitive areas. Now onto quality of leather. Out of box it’s lovely. But after a clean/condition it’s truly already feeling supple! I purchased on sale and was fortunate enough to get a 25$ gift certificate kickback from purchase (yay!) which made bridle so affordable! Little silly to say maybe but I’m actually proud to have this bridle on Odin. We’d been using bridle he came with two years ago at purchase (also a Smartpak) which had seen better days so we’re truly loving this one. I’d say this rally’s with much higher priced bridles on both quality and design! I’m loving entire Harwich line from breeches to bridles! WE BOTH LOVE IT!

Simple design, great quality, Happy sensitive hors
Got it yesterday! My 24 year old hates nosebands and flash, he'll wear it but he hates it. I believe they cause sinus pressure, and brow bands may have aggravated his TMJ or put pressure on his poll, he usually clears his nose and takes a step away, put it on and he looked at me like alright lets do this, asked if I could take it off and he shook his head no, No human Kleenex, no wiggle worming forward when I adjusted the noseband?! It is similar in quality to the solo bridles, which are too large for him and can't remove the flash, better quality padding than the Micklem. He is a 15 3 h lankier QH with moderately fine featured skull, the solo fits the warmblood/ thoroughbred, and I believe the Micklem would fit if he were a slightly longer nosed thoroughbred. Super happy about this simple design that makes my gelding happy! Super Awesome if you have trouble fitting a bridle to your "normal" sized horse's head.

I love this bridle!
I previously bought a Camelot bridle ~$100 from smartpak. The quality and make of it is atrocious. I use it as a schooling bridle but it’s very stiff and made awkwardly. I’ve wanted a Schleese bridle for a while but can’t afford one at this time so decided to try the Harwich ergonomic bridle until I catch a Schleese on sale. Well, jokes on me because I’m really happy with this bridle. It’s well made. The leather is soft and supple and I really love the noseband. I chose not to have a flash noseband on my bridle. it fit my horse very well and he has a smallish head. He’s larger than a cob but horse sized items usually hang off his face. The browband really catches the light and the contoured style complements bonnets and a horses face overall. I was worried it would look feminine on my gelding but it adds just a touch of shine. The reins are not anything special but I was pleased with them. I put them on the Camelot bridle that I use as a backup at times depending on which bit I would like to use. For less than $200, this bridle is a sufficient value for what you actually receive. It is well padded, stays off my horse’s more sensitive facial areas and should last a long time to come. One word of caution is that the throat latch is very generous. It is adjustable with a buckle on either side of the headstall but it could easily be altered or replaced to be shorter if needed.

I purchased this bridle to be a inexpensive schooling bridle. Instead it is a beautiful, well made piece of equipment. It fits my Welsh Cob like a glove. Normally I have to piece together multiple pieces to get an appropriately sized bridle for him. I love it and so does he.

nice leather and great fit
Bought the cob size for my mare and it she does seem to fit in the middle of all the adjustments so I think the cob is true to size. Leather is very nice the ergonomic fit is nice and my mare seems to like it.
