Fantastic!!!
I love this top! Keeps me warm and cool!!! I can wear it without a jacket in 50* weather and it keeps me nice and warm. At 70* it keeps me cool! Love it!

Love the wine color!
I haven't worn this yet but I did try it on. I'm usually a small but because many shirts are worn tight these days, I opted for a medium and it fits me just right. Some of the reviews stated that the sleeves we're long... well I have long arms so the sleeve length is perfect for me!

Overall, a nice sunshirt
I purchased an XL shirt in Mineral Gray. I found the sleeves a bit short and the fit very roomy in the torso compared to my favorites shirts and the color more of a beige/gray than a true gray. For reference, I usually wear San Soliel in L, Tailored Sportsman and Kassel in XL. I could probably have gone down to a L in this short, but I fear the sleeves would be way too short.
That being said, the fabric is nice and lightweight, and it was very comfortable to wear. It washed well. I’m not sure I’ll purchase more due to the sleeve length, but if you have shorter arms you should definitely try these shirts.

Good value and high quality
Bought one of these and a Piper sun shirt to try both- I liked this one much better than the Piper sun shirt (which surprised me!) I'm 100% willing to pay a little more for this higher quality/more flattering SunShield shirt than a Piper sun shirt. Fits better on people who have shorter arms. Tucks in to breeches well.

Great fit and long enough to stay comfortably
Tucked into breeches. I ride 3-4 horses a day in the hot Florida sun This shirt keeps me comfortable and dry. Highly recommend!

Great coverage at a great price
I'm a distance rider so I'm all about comfort - 8 hours in the saddle out on the trail in the heat can make for a long day, especially if your clothing isn't comfortable. This sunshield shirt is super comfy and gives me the coverage I need so I don't have to be slathered in sunscreen (a feeling I hate), and it breathes really well, wicking away sweat and keeping me comfortable. It performs as well or better than some of the others, without the hefty price tag, And it looks good, too!

Stylish sun protection
This SunShield was the first sun shirt I've worn. I was a bit skeptical about the concept of wearing a long sleeve shirt in 80+ degree weather, but I am so happy that I made the decision to try this out. I now have one in four colors! Not only does it provide sun protection, which is very important to me, but it also features mesh under-arms to keep you cool, as well as moisture-wicking technology to keep the sweat off. It’s great knowing that I can do barn chores, go out on a long trail ride or ride multiple horses on a sunny day knowing that my skin is protected while staying cool and dry! I also wear this outside of the barn when going on runs and playing tennis, I love how versatile this shirt can be as it can be worn in and out of the barn! I typically teeter between a small and an extra small, and I wear an extra small in this shirt.

Love these shirts!
I've now purchased 2 of these shirts and the third one is on the way. I love these shirts. They are cool, wick well, and are very flattering. I wear them on cross country and for clinics. They do not have a stock tie loop but I think you could still get away with wearing them under a coat if your tie covered up the zipper. They wash super well and after trying a few sun shirts I'm most happy with this material as far as durability.

Washes well, lightweight, nice mesh feature
I am kind of obsessed with these shirts--I have been looking for sun shirts that won't break the bank but that will protect me from the sun and the mesh vented arms are a must have. Sunshields are perfect! Fit is great, it doesn't hold barn dirt like cotton shirts and it cool enough for the appalling summer heat we have here in Oklahoma. They are also long enough to cover my torso comfortably, which I have had a hard time finding in other brands. My only critique would be that I would love to see more and varied lighter/pastel colors since I never wear dark colors in the sun.

Exactly what you want for hot weather
I bought a couple of these hoping they'd be 'OK'. They are very comfortable, well made, they look good & hold up to washing well.
No more issues with sunburns when riding and teaching outside in the summer.

Very comfortable shirt!
I have purchased several of these Sun Shirts and love them because they keep me cool, very comfortable, protect me from the sun and are loose enough in my waist they don’t stick to my skin. I have had other brands of sun shirts that stick to my skin in spots.

Love it!
I've ridden in this shirt 3-4 times now and it's fantastic on hot days. I have wide shoulders and the sleeves are just slightly too short when I'm holding the reins, but it's well within the "matter of preference" length and I like a longer sleeve. Here are the measurements of a medium in case they are useful to someone:

Comfortable and flattering
I love these sun shirts and have 3 now! They’re very comfortable and I love the variety of fun colors. They’re also more reasonably priced than other brands and I also like how there’s more room in the arms than others as well. I would highly recommend this product!

Sleeves are too short
This sunshirt fit decently, but the color (maroon) still shows a lot of sweat stains and the sleeves are 2 inches too short. I like the fabric and fit otherwise, it’s comparable to EIS but a little more stretchy. I got a medium hoping the sleeves would fit but they were still short despite being baggier everywhere else. I’m 5’7” and 150 lbs. Kind of disappointed as I wear sunshirts year round and was hoping for an affordable option to avoid wrist tan lines.

Odd fit, beautiful colors
I ordered 2 of these sunshirts and while I was thrilled with the fabric quality and gorgeous colors, I unfortunately found the fit to be odd and unflattering. I'm 5'11" and have pretty normal torso and arm length and don't usually have an issue with size M shirts. These sleeves were far too short, and the hem hit at a weird spot and almost ballooned out from where the side splits were sewn. Very unflattering on, and fortunately I can send back for free thanks to SmartPak's great policies. For reference, I wear a M in Kastel and Ariat and have not had any issues with long sleeve shunshirts from those brands.

Great Shirt
For me, this shirt may run a wee big. I ordered a size or two up because of my long arms and abundant chest. Those are my two areas that make finding a good fit a challenge. The shirts are pretty true to the color represented on their website. They are great in the heat and are much more stylish than the sun shirts I was using. Washed them a couple times thus far and they are holding up well. I am following the wash and dry instructions on the shirt. I will be buying more of these shirts. Love the variety of color options. Would love more. All in all a great shirt. They even look good outside the barn.

One of my new favorite sunshirts!
Bought one of these on a whim at the Smartpak booth at WEG, since they were on sale. I have to say I am very pleasantly surprised at how much I like it! Quality and construction is on par with the EIS. Similar materials, even down to the zipper pull. I like the fit of the Smartpak one better though- EIS can sometimes be short and too boxy, definitely did not have this issue with the Sunshield. Sleeves are a little on the shorter side, however with gloves on I did not have any exposed skin and I actually don't love when the sleeves are longer, because they bunch up around my wrist. So I think the length of these sleeves is almost perfect! I hope they come out with more colors like red, grey, maybe even some of the color blocked ones like EIS. Sizing seems generous. I wear a L in most brands, got a M and it fits perfectly. However, if you like your sunshirts on the baggier side, I would stick to your normal size. Overall highly recommend this shirt, and I plan to buy more very very soon!

My current go to sun shirt
I live in sun shirts because I try to avoid total sun exposure. I received this shirt as a freebie with something else I bought and I was skeptical because I had tried a different smartpak top that was not a good fit. This was such a pleasant surprise. I got a medium, where I would normally wear a small because I didn't want a super tight fit. This flows exactly as I want, not loose and baggy but not skin tight and definitely flattering. I never tuck in shirts so I love the side slits but it definitely could tuck without a lot of bulk.
The mesh under the arms and sleeve is more than many sun shirts I own and that makes me really happy. Some of these shirts have just a scant amount of mesh and I don't find it cooling. The fabric of the top is perforated but somehow doesn't let the sun in, but it lets me feel cooler. I find that it cleans very well.
I gave it 4 stars because the sleeves have very long 2 inch cuffs which re great until I want to push up my sleeves when hosing or cleaning. They don't have much give so they are hard to push up. However, these current pictures and the review I've seen look like maybe the cuff is different now. It looks much more open.
The only reason I have not bought a week's worth of them is because I'm waiting for my current rotation to wear out before spending money. I will definitely get this style when I need more.

The shirt works
I purchased the Sunshield shirt without any real expectations. I wore it today and am a believer. The shirt did keep me cooler that wearing a typical tee-shirt. I like the color as well. I am in Florida, and we know that it can get hot down here. I am not saying that I did not get sweaty. The shirt did allow me to stay cooler. I will be purchasing more of them. It is going to be a hot, humid summer down here.
