I’ve been wearing Hadley breeches for over a year now, and I can confidently say they pass the test as a great all-around, everyday breech! One of my favorite features is the mid-rise design. As someone with a short torso, high-rise options just don’t fit me well. The mid-rise on these breeches is the perfect height, keeping me comfortable and secure both in and out of the tack. I also love the technical feel of the fabric. It provides excellent stretch and breathability while still feeling durable, professional, and sleek. I’ve worn these breeches on trail rides, schooling at home, and even in clinics, and they’ve been perfect for every occasion! Best of all, after a year of use, they barely show signs of wear and still look great. These breeches are ideal for anyone looking for a classic, everyday option that’s both reliable and comfortable.

Rated 2 out of 5 by ecooper from You get what you pay for! While there are things I really like about these breeches, they simply don’t hold up like other brands. I bought a pair in January 2023, and it is now July 2024. I was riding in them about once a week, and unfortunately they are starting to fall apart. There is pretty severe pilling in the suede full seat patches, and today I found a hole in the same area. I expect my breeches to hold up for longer than a year and a half of normal use, and plenty of other brands do. I will be putting a patch on these to hopefully get my money’s worth.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Erev from Great fabric, awkward fit Pipers are my go to breeches for their perfect fit and I had to fall in love with the Hadley full seat as well but the fit isn’t quite right. They fit well through the thigh and the length is the same as the Pipers but they run one size too small and while the fabric feels great there is too much back pocket, making it difficult to tuck in a shirt and smooth them down. The top of the full seat also sits too low creating a large gap from the pockets to the seat that doesn’t look right.

Most of my other breeches are hard to wear in the San Diego summertime, but these are my all-time favorite being so breathable! These breeches are perfect for everyday riding, even comfy enough to go hack on the trails. The fit is perfect and fits very true to size! I have trouble finding breeches that are all around perfect and fit me, but the Hadley Mid-Rise Breeches are my go-to now!

The Hadley mid rise fits even me, looks attractive and is made of light enough fabric that I won’t melt in the Florida sun. My friends saw them and ordered their own (true story!). I did size up one because I have muscular legs (and no hips) and I felt my normal size was too tight in the leg.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Riding in WI from I wanted to love these, but couldn’t. I have been eyeing up the Hadley full seats for a couple months now. The material, price, description, other reviews, and recommendation from a friend all convinced me to try them out. Black Friday pricing helped too. They fit and look great... when I’m standing. However as soon as I tried to bend, squat down, or even stand in a riding stance it became obvious that the seat material hindered my movement and did not move with me. It left me with that dreaded diaper feeling. I really wanted to love these and certainly do like many aspects of them. The rest of material is great, the cut of them is wonderful, length is spot on, but the seat just doesn’t move, give, stretch the way I’d hoped. I ended up feeling like the edge where the full seat material meets the leg material is just too cumbersome. So they will be going back.

These are a very close dup of another popular brand of breeches. The only thing I wish was that they came in more fun colors, and had the pop of color piping.

I love the fit and the fact that they come in a very difficult size to find - 34L. I'm usually not a fan of mid-rise but I don't feel that these breeches sit too low. I also love the full seat option. I have washed them frequently and they wash up well (sometimes I hang them to dry and sometimes I forget and toss them in the dryer) Even after a year of wearing 3xweek, the only issue I had was the zipper keeps coming down so I purchased two new pairs a month ago.
