Not Great.
I thought that since these were usually priced over $120 I'd be getting great breeches. The Long is barely long enough for my 5'9'', the waist is very tight. I guess I'm just spoiled now to the Smart Knit Fullseat, which are far superior.

I really like these
I am always skeptical trying out breeches, but these are really nice. They are very comfortable and feel like quality.
There are just a couple minor things that I don't care for: one, I need a larger front pocket, not 2 back pockets. Two, a slightly higher rise - they are "okay" but I prefer a real waist.
Overall, they are nice.

Fantastic
Another home run from Smartpak, these breeches are flattering, functional and comfortable. I love the rise, not too high nor too low and they don't sag or stretch out with wear. Perfect for daily riding but plenty chic enough for events and clinics. They run TTS but I did exchange the reg for longs which are perfect (I'm a leggy 5'8") Honestly, I have sold most of my breeches collection and have replaced them with Smartpak brand-from the Piper knit to the tights-you cannot go wrong! The Hadley will not disappoint..

My daughter loves the comfort of these breeches. They are her new favorite breeches. I only gave 4 stars because the sizing is a little erratic. I bought 2 pairs - same size . One fit great. One was a little snugger.

Love these breeches!
These breeches fit SO nicely--love the higher rise on them. The fabric is very soft and comfortable and looks like it will hold up over time. I love all the color choices, too! These do seem to run a bit small--I chose to get the "longs" rather than size up, and they fit perfectly!

Inconsistant sizing
I bought a gray pair of these in a 26R about a month ago and really like them, but find they're a bit short. So when they were on sale, I ordered them in a 26 long in white. They were much smaller--the waist was about an inch smaller when I compared them. So back they went--love Smartpak's free return shipping! So I think they're a great breech for the money, but the sizing is inconsistent.

Great fit and fabric
I bought a white pair for showing. I was impressed with the fabric and fit. I'm a little curvy and these fit better than the Piper's. They stayed relatively clean and washed really well. I've only worn them for three shows but will def be ordering more in other colors.

Amazing material
I bought these in white for showing. They are not see through and stayed relatively clean. The fit is great. The material is super comfortable. Hadley's look like high end breeches without the high end price tag.

I have a bunch of the piper full seat knit breeches that I love. my only complaint is their lack of a rear pocket. these i have heard good things about. they are very comfortable. very happy with the fit. love the pocket! I did make the mistake of washing them with light colours and the dye ran from the dark blue full seat but luckily it came out with another wash. I am a fan. would buy more.

Nice rise!
These are by far my favorite breeches by SmartPak. A few points... (1) RISE: I find the Pipers (even the modified) to be too low of a rise. These have a true mid rise and fit well. (2) WAIST BAND: I do have an hourglass frame and the waist is a bit too big on me, so I do need to wear a belt otherwise they slide down. Something to keep in mind if you're on the curvy side. (3) HOT FULL SEAT: I ordered the spruce with the navy full seat and note the full seat material will touch your skin. It is not lined with the other pant material. This makes it kind of hot in the summer months plus it dyed my legs and underwear blue.

Love these!
As much as I wanted to like the modified Pipers, they were still just a bit low in the waist for me. The Hadley breeches have the cut I've been looking for, the fabric is really nice and holds in shape and repels barn dirt really well. I love the wider belt loops, I have a bling belt thing. I have a borderline long leg, these are cut shorter than pipers in my opinion, I order these in longs, pipers I find myself folding up the cuffs in the reg length?? I hope they come out with all the colors that they tease us with on the catalog cover, tan? maybe brown? light grey? I love the fun colors, but these are nice enough for the show ring

Great fabric, and who ever designed the waist band
Bought these because I need a good fitting pair of breeches with a properly fitting waist band. They did run a tad small. I also have the knee patch version, and is more true to size. They met and exceeded my expectations.

seat just has no give at all
I really liked the fabric of the breeches but the seat has no give at all. I also find breeches really hard to fit, curvy, always have a waist gap. But these really did fit well, if only I could bend my knee to get in the stirrup....

Fabric pilled at top of boots after one ride
I have many pair of Pipers and these seemed like a nice upgrade and the reviews are great so I got a pair. I wore them in one clinic ride and the knees rubbed and had major pilling from the tops of my Petrie boots. This has never happened with my Pipers (or any other breeches.)
SmartPak’s great Customer Service let me send them back and exchange for a pair of Pipers and credit the difference in cost.
As an aside, I also found the material to be heavy and hot. It was a hot day in NC and they were not pleasant to wear.

Wanted to like it
I was very excited about how it fits. It definitely fits better than pipers. Went riding for the first time in these breeches today and the color bled horribly. My backside and legs are blue after I took the breeches off. It even stained my bedsheets just because I was sitting there with my bare legs.

My favorite fit by far!
I got a pair of these for Christmas in Navy. They have quickly become my favorite breeches and I now have 3 pairs and counting. They come up a little higher than the piper line which I love, the colors are super pretty (my favorite is the dark spruce with navy seat), and they fit my curves better than any breeches I've ever had. The seat is even more stretchy and less restrictive than any other I've seen. I wear a 28L and these run true to size. Love them!

Love these!
I bought these while at K3DE. I loved ovation breeches, but they no longer make long sizes, and the regular length just won’t work for me. I’ve struggled to find breeches that fit for a decent price (pipers don’t fit me at all!). These are great! I just rode in them for the first time and I love them. They’re super stretchy, even through the full seat. I’ll definitely be stocking up on these for the summer! (For reference, I’m 5’9” and 155lbs, athletic build)

On the whole a nice breech
I purchased a pair of Hadleys a while back. These breeches are super nice quality and have washed really well had them for a good 6mths now. How ever they do not repel dirt, 5mins after wearing Hadleys I am far from clean. I am not over weight by any means 5ft 6" 137-140lbs, I do not have a 6 pack :) and not too big hips but not super tiny either and a flattish butt. I have 28L . Standing still they look great nice fit but when moving around and bending and lifting, all day long I find myself hiking these up otherwise gives me muffin top. I wear a belt but they slip down somehow. They are listed as mid rise I could do with a little deeper in the rise on this item. They are thicker than other breeches I own so for California weather they are better suited for winter, definitely not for the hot weather. Better suited for someone who has flatter abs and hips. I just ordered another pair totally forgetting I already tried this brand so unfortunately they will go back.

Really Nice Breeches
So far I really like these. They seemed to run a bit large to size for me. Which is odd, because while I'm thin, I'm fairly muscular and not a beanpole. I ordered the same size as the pipers and they seem a smidge loose on me. I did order longs and they really aren't long at all. They are adequate and I normally don't need longs. So for long legged people that need longs... I don't think these will be long enough. The fabric is really nice and repels dirt and water but it's a bit of a heavier fabric. Right now the weather is awesome but I don't know if they'll be too heavy once the heat and humidity kick in. I love the fit. They only gap a little bit in the back and it's not the actual breech, just the waistband. I don't feel like they are constantly sagging in the crotch either. YAY!! A pair of breeches I'm not constantly pulling up when I walk around. :) I don't really need a belt with them either. They were super comfy for dressage and for jumping. And I like the color options. The back pockets are big enough for the Droid 9 with a case. The back pockets do have zippers which make them fancy. :)

White are not see-through!
I had size up for these, but it was so worth it! These are the first semi-affordable white breeches I've found that don't show my underwear! The fabric is thick enough, plus the back pockets break it up enough that my skin-color thong FINALLY doesn't show through. The front pockets are small enough that there isn't a ton of extra fabric bulging either, which is a problem I've been running into. I haven't ridden in them yet, but here's hoping they hold up well and wash well.

Meh. Weird fit.
These breeches are a step up from the pipers, but they aren’t that great. I’m glad I purchased them on sale, because they definitely are not worth $100+. Only certain colors were on sale. I got the green with brown seat. I feel like mint chocolate chip ice cream. It’s not subtle or attractive or stylish. The quality is mediocre with many loose threads; the fit is more for a man with the gaping waist and saggy crotch. The material is fine. It seems durable and has held up to one washing. These are ok for day to day. Definitely not my favs, I do sort of wish I’d returned them and purchased something with a higher quality, even if it cost a little more.

Great Pants
This is my second pair. I liked the first ones so much. They wash great, dirt repels off the fabric and they come back from the wash just like new. Love all the pocket options. I just wish they were a little longer in the leg and they were regular rise. Mid-rise is okay but I prefer the ‘older’ fit for some one over 60. Now let’s add some more colors!
