Does your horse manage to come in dirty from turnout everytime? The Haas Schimmel Brush is you answer! Schimmel translates as white horse. Its dense and long coconut fiber bristles work especially well for white horses, removing stubborn dirt and mud.
The body of the brush is a silver-grey colored durable resin material where its dense bristles are directly incorporated without any use of glue or other foreign material. The body is shatter resistant and provides superior bristle retention.
It is completely washable with non-bleaching agents for better hygiene.

Instructions for Use:
The brushes from HAAS can be washed in washing machine in a pillow cover or wash bag without any problems in 30 degrees Celsius water temperature with a disinfection washing agent or a normal cleaner that does not contain a softener. Please pay attention that the washing machine is not too empty as it can result in damage to the brushes. The better option is to wash the brushes by hand under lukewarm water. Apply a mild shampoo without softener and rinse well. Please allow the brushes to dry slowly. Do not put on a heating device or in the sun.

Very effective
This brush actually cleans the mess off my horse even with his long winter coat. He likes to make a mess of himself sleeping at night. Now I can clean him well. He also has sensitive skin but this brush doesn’t annoy him. He got so relaxed while I was using this brush that his lower lip was limp and he started drooling. Great choice

Really removes mud and brings up shine
I was one of those people that thought a brush was a brush.... wrong. I bought this on a whim and it's amazing. My sensitive Paso Fino loves to roll in mud and hates being groomed, but this brush takes off crusty mud with no irritation to him. He stands quietly and comes out glossy and gleaming. Highly recommend.

It seriously works!!!
Even though I read other reviews that talked about how well this brush worked, I was still skeptical... But to my surprise, it not only gets rid of all the caked on mud my gelding "accumulates," but it also leaves him nice and shiny! Very pleased! Definitely recommend this brush to those with horses that don't stay clean, lol ;)

Awesome Brush
I was a bit skeptical about paying $15 for a brush but I’m totally glad I did. This brush leaves my horses coat soft and shiny. I have a Bashkir Curly with a curly winter coat and this gets all of the dirt and other particles that get stuck in his curls that my other brushes can’t normally get out. Very happy with this brush and won’t be using any other brand after this.

Love it
I just got this but I love it! Even my sensitive TB is fine with it! It is very stiff but gets all the dead skin, dirt, and hair off plus leaves him shining. I wish it was a smidge smaller, but that’s just if I was being picky. Overall it’s a great brush!

What a difference a nice brush makes
OK, time to upgrade the brushes everybody. I typically used the cheaper brushes and always wondered why my horses never looked all that shiny after all my elbow grease. Now I know. The brushes matter. Just one pass and my horses' shine comes out. You have to do a bit more currying in those areas where they've really ground the dirt in but when you do your pass with this brush afterwards, more dirt comes out that you didn't know was there and you're left with a nice sheen. I'm lovin' this thing. My sensitive skinned horses needed a little adjustment period but they're used to it now!

Nice stiff brush
This is an excellent stiff bristle brush. It’s great for getting mud and dirt off my horse’s body and legs. I follow this brush with the lippizaner and then the diamond gloss.

Glad I Purchased
This is a great brush! I was afraid it would be to big for my hand but it is comfortable to hold. To me it's a medium -stiff brush-great for removing dirt and stains. I am glad I purchased it and would buy other brushes in the line.

First pass: So much dust!
I saw Haas brushes through another company and didnt realize SmartPak sold them as well. As I was looking into US companies that carried them, I was like 'Well check SmartPak' and sure enough they were here! I 'built my own pack' and this was a must have as a first brush after currying. Let me say, I was very skeptical about spending a huge amount of money on brushes. My old brush set were made from artificial bristles and Haas knocks those out of the park and then some. This is the first bush I use to get the first layer of dust off and I am more than impressed. I've never seen my horse as shiny as when I use my four Haas bushes in a row.

It really is the 'magic eraser'
I kept seeing reviews for this brush that called it a magic eraser, so I figured I would give it a try on my friend's grey (now fully white) Percheron - who somehow always manages to lie down in the worst possible messes. It takes a little bit of elbow grease, but it works like a charm - telltale (and massive) brown patches are just gone. It's not going to get a grey ready to go in the show ring, but it works wonders for being presentable out schooling.

Nice brush
Bought this brush for my mud-loving gray quarter horse. I was a little surprised by the stiffness of the bristles, but he doesn't seem to mind. I would probably not use it on my twitchy OTTB. Works well on the thick winter coat.

Harder than Expected
This is a nice brush and seems to be good quality. I would compare it to a stiff brush though, the bristles are harder than I expected since it is horse hair. Unfortunately my horse is sensitive enough that he doesn't like stiff bristles, and I couldn't return this to Smartpak for free because it's not a sized item. I gave it to a friend :/ I wish the description had stated the stiffness of the bristles since it can't be returned for free!

This is the greatest brush on the planet
As a professional groom who personally owns a filthy palomino (why do I do these things to myself??), I am always looking for the latest and greatest "holy grail" brush. I HAVE FINALLY FOUND IT. On top of his color, said palomino is a draft cross and has the most dense hair I have ever encountered, trapping heaps of our Florida powder sugar sand/dirt in his coat. This brush gets down deep to lift dirt and sweep it away (instead of just leaving a bit sitting on top). The horses think it feels great. It also removes stains with minimal effort and no products.
Moral of the story, buy this thing immediately. It is life changing.

Worth the money
This brush gets about 10x the dirt out of my paint's coat than cheaper versions. And I think it really does make his white parts whiter. Glad I upgraded.

This brush is amazing
This brush really gets down and into the coat to remove larger particles of dust and muck. I use this right after currying and it really takes the dirt away. I use a metal curry to clean the brush as I go and I'm shocked at how much dirt this brush picks up instead of just pushing it around. LOVE

Nifty little tool
I admit you could live without this brush. But I'm glad I don't have to! It's got a row of longer bristles around the edge that give it some extra oomph to get that last bit of ground in dirt out of the coat. And if my horse is any judge, it feels wonderful.
