Pot came completely broken
Pot came completely broken, contacted smartpak and was offering to send photos. Didn't get an answer from Smart pak. For some reason with this return, I have to pay now a third of the price to send it back....$8.95. otherwise I do love Equiderm, haven't tried this product yet.

Weird Consistency
I purchased this directly from Equiderma and loved it. Perfect consistency and spread so well. Then decided I needed another one and bought from smartpak. I think it’sa bad batch. It’s got a pool of the liquid in it and it is crumbling. Won’t spread very well. I have a very sensitive pony and had to make out work for two days while I got my straight desitin in, or else I would return. Don’t waste your money, go through equiderma for this one!

Excellent for sunburn on white noses
I've been using this paste for a few years now for my pony with a white nose. He gets sunburned in the summer which can result in raw and scabby spots if I don't treat it. I love this paste because it's thick and stays on most the day even when grazing in wet dewy grass. Not only does it protect from future burns but it also heals the scabs within days! Highly recommended it!

Paste is hard as a rock
Very disappointed in this product. Paste is so hard that you have to dig it out with a tool. As you put it on the paste falls to ground. Very wasteful and too expensive to drop on ground

Too thick and dry to spread
Bought for sunburn my white face gelding. Product too thick and hard to spread. Balled up wouldn't stick. Expensive so I heated it on stove with more mineral oil and water. More spreadable bit still balls up. Won't buy it again.

Best scratches treatment!
I bought a pony who had really bad scratches and within a week of applying this, her scratches were significantly improved! So easy to apply and it smells so good! Also so useful that it can be used as sunscreen since my pony has a very pink nose!

Worked great
I was having a hard time getting rid of the scratches on my thoroughbreds legs especially because I can’t get to the barn daily for treatments. Even using the equiderma every 3 days or so it healed up his scratches quicker and easier than any other treatment I’ve tried. Definitely recommend.

2nd time the charm
Smartpak had to replace my first jar since it was solid as a rock. Second is fine. I like that it's easier to apply than desitin and the horses seem to find it soothing. It reminds me of a thicker nolvasan.

Stayed on all day, but rock hard
I applied this to my pony with a white face and my mare with a sensitive nose. This stayed on them all day despite sweating, grazing, drinking, and enjoying a wet mash. They did not seep to mind the scent and the bright blue tone helped me see that it was on. My big complaint with this is that it was rock solid and I had to leave it out in the heat for a bit before it softened enough to apply.

First jar terrible...replacement jar great!
I will always purchase from SmartPak as they make sure things are right. The first jar of Equiderma paste was Smurf Blue and so hard I couldn’t scrape it out. Apparently a bad batch came through. One call to SmartPak and in two days I had a replacement jar that was what I expected! Scratches are clearing on my mare. Thanks, SmartPak!

Consistency makes it impossible to use
I had such high hopes for this product....my horse has chronic scratches and it seemed like it would check so many boxes of the ingredients needed for treatment (zinc oxide, antibacterial/antifungal, skin soothers, etc.). I was even willing to forgive the bright blue color (why does it have to be blue??). It's too bad the paste is so thick it's impossible to spread! It just remains balled up in the glop I pull from the container. Total fail and disappointment.

Helps with summer skin rash
Been using for a couple weeks on a skin rash that my pony got from bug bites. Seems to be clearing it up quickly. Paste does get very liquidy when left outside in heat.

It's blue......and a very dry paste
I bought this to use as sunblock on my Paint gelding's nose. I had no idea it was blue when I ordered it. Nor that the paste would be so thick and dry the only way to actually get it on his nose would be with a damp rag. I figured this out after the paste balled up while I was trying to apply it and most ended up in the dirt and not on my horse's nose. Nevertheless, this stuff was expensive and I was going to use it. I wish I had not. It's been 10 days and I finally have managed to get the last of the blue off his nose. It peeled off in chunks, along with the little peach fuzz he has on his muzzle. It does not come off with warm water and a rag. It did not come off with warm water and baby shampoo. I was very worried I'd be taking a Smurf to a horse show this weekend, thankfully I managed to get the last of the blue off him last night. I only applied it that one time so I can't say if it's a good sunblock or not. Maybe it works fine applied to legs, though I'll never use it again for any application after this.

Great
As always, Equiderma products are unmatched and this is no exception. It’s creamy and soothing. I used it for dew poisoning (basically scratches/mud fever on their nose) and of course it worked right away. I’ve also been on the hunt for something for sunburn as I have several white noses that get burned terribly in the summer. I imagine this product will be wonderful for that as well, especially because it stays on for hours. Equiderma does it again!

For sunburn
I have only been using this for a couple of weeks for a foster horse who was getting sunburned on her nose. I wish it was not so thick, or maybe a little softer. She does not like this put on her nose. At the beginning, I thought it might be because the skin was tender. However, it seems to be working well.

Helps with dew poisoning but not a magic cure
This was recommended to me to fight dew poisoning on two of my horses. While it did seem to help it did not clear up the problem completely. I did not get the miracle cure from this that others have. That being said, i use it as part of a multi-faceted approach to treating dew poisoning and use this on top to help seal out moisture.

Great cream for small cuts, scraps and sunburn
I already had the lotion before and absolutely love the products. The lotion is amazing for big bites, scrapes, and other skin issues. Have tried it on several horses. Most bug bites are gone the next day. The zinc paste is great for small cuts, scrapes, and even sunburn. It gives a nice layer to protect sensitive areas. It stays on even in heavy rain. I only applied it once or twice a week - depending on cause - skin has time to heal underneath.

Good product!
I had been using Seashore Acres scratches medication - and since we had such a wet spring, that product was expensive and in high demand. This product works just as well and is much more affordable.

Quick work on crud
Is creepin' crud really the proper term? Well, this stuff clears it up quick and washes out easily when you want it gone. The bane of horse owners in FL is all the moisture and resulting fungus and various skin conditions.

Only thing that has helped!
I've been battling pastern dermatitis on my gelding for forever now. This is the only stuff that has worked. Its zinc oxide, but also contains chlorhexidine gluconate (an antiseptic). I think it manages to do the trick because it's medicating and covering the infected area at the same time.
The paste is thinner and not as tacky as corona or destine, so you really need to apply it every day. However, this also means that less dirt/crud from outside sticks to the area.
We are still trying fighting off the infection, but this is the only product that I've seen improvement with.

My grey developed pastern dermatitis, and I tried several products including the Equiderm Lotion with no luck. But this zinc paste has done the trick! It is easy to apply and really works.
