Rated 5 out of 5 by Reina from Not sticky! Leaves amazing shine! I was skeptical, all previous shine sprays either made hair sticky or dried it out. I tried this on my mares tail just to see what the damage would be before I tried it in her mane. Tail was soft and brushed out easily, shavings and dirt didn’t seem to stick even after a couple of days of having it in. I tried it on her mane and I never knew how shiny a white mane could be. Love this stuff and love how healthy and shiny my mares mane and tail look.

Rated 5 out of 5 by catsnhorses from Excellent product! BEST FOR WINTER FUR AND STATIC! I bought this product to help with the static electricity that comes with the cold dry winter weather. I will say it is the best product I have found that does help cut down on the amount of static when you are pulling off blankets. I spray some on my finishing brush and brush my horses coat with it and then reapply the blanket. When I take the blanket off again, there is either a very small amount (if I haven't used it in a few days) or none at all. It leaves a nice shine and silkiness to the coat without being slippery like other coat products. It also helps to repel saw dust. Another bonus: you can spray it on the mane and tail for a tangle free shine and I am repeating that you don't have that slippery feel. Both my horses are happy they are not getting shocked any more and I will be throwing out the countless other hair products I have tried in the winter months that do not stand up to their advertising.

It does not leave your hands slippery after applying. It also does not overly saturate it either. Well worth spending a. It more for it since you end up using less and less frequent.

Many of the other sheen products are a little better for detangling; however, Effol Super Star-Shine has long-lasting protection from the affects of the warm dry air we have here. It has a very light, healthy feel on the hair. It doesn't attract dirt and it prevents static for days. The lovely scent is just a bonus for this great product. Love! Love! Love!

Rated 5 out of 5 by LilMes from Love it for the mane and tail I love this product, it smells really good and makes my mare super soft. It is my favorite product for her mane and tail. It makes it soft and tangle free, and the bedding just shakes out of her hair. I don't recommend spaying it on the saddle area before you ride, but it is nice before turn out because the dirt doesn't stick to her as bad. would definitely buy again.

My mare has a thick flaxen, platinum, gold & copper tail. I have used Neutrogena & Pantene leave in conditioner, Manely conditioner & detangler. These were way better than Show Sheen & Cowboy Magic--those made her tail dry & brittle like a straw broom after a day or two. OK day of application. Now I use a wash cloth soaked in diluted Apple Cider Vinegar & water to remove dirt & manure or urine, & wash her tail every 7-20 days. The Super Star-Shine makes her tail & mane soft, shiny, tangle free--flows in the wind-- for days without a new application!!! I do braid her tail & use a tail bag. She loves to roll and grind her mane in the sand. A soft brush & a damp cloth elements the sand dust and her mane is soft and tangle free!!! I love this! I clean the top 10 inches of her tail bone where "crud" develops along the hair line almost daily--again with ACV diluted & Neosporin to loosen the scabby crud from sweat & manure. Bought a back up bottle for me & for a close friend at her envious request! I always share my product finds with barn mates, like the grooming gloves. Not sharing this one--I am enjoying "barn tail envy" :)
