Too tight in the mouth of the boot.
These boots are great. They’re durable and I would have loved to keep them.
I returned them. While the shoe itself fit great, the leg of the boot did not. There is no point of having a “wide leg” boot when the mouth of said boot is actually smaller than the wide leg part (widest part measured somewhere like 44cm, and the mouth of the boot measured 37cm. My leg is 40cm). I couldn’t get them on comfortably, and couldn’t even get my foot into the boot without scrunching down the leg.
While I would have loved to keep them (really, it’s a great looking/constructed boot), I really couldn’t. Shout out to the helpful customer service folks for answering questions and being supportive.

Great boots - but run smaller than originals!
So these boots are great, I’ve been a die-hard Dublin lover for years and years and finally broke down and purchased another pair. These are not built the same, the ankle and opening of boot have been narrowed probably for style and sleeker look but it means the calf ran smaller than originally as the widest part of your calf doesn’t line up with the widest part of the boot. Overall they are great but slightly tricky to order online (this was my second attempt) at sizing because of the design change, order the next calf or foot size up if you are in between sizes!

I just bought these to replace my original 4 year old pair. I wear them everywhere... out to dinner, Church & to ride in. In my opinion, they are the best boots ever!

Amazing!!!
THANK YOU!! Finally a great and comfortable boot for our daughter to wear around the barn! She’s hard to fit with a muscular calf and we were worried about buying these for her. Hands down her favorite daily boots to muck stalls in and play around the barn!

Disappointed!!!
Have owned numerous pairs of the Dublin River Boot in the last 10 years and have always been pleased but this purchased was a different story. The color was blah and looked cheap and the fit was different so much that my foot wouldn’t slide into them as easily and was uncomfortable once on. I’m sooo disappointed because I LOVED these boots in the past.

I’ve wanted these for years!
I really wanted to love these boots and I did until my foot got stuck after a test fitting in my home. The inside of the boot was trying to come out with my foot. I came to the conclusion my arches are just too high. They are gorgeous boots and I am so sad they didn’t work with my feet.

The Dublin River Boots I ordered from you were a Christmas gift for a granddaughter. Perfect for her to ride her horse & 4-wheeler! Or just casual wear with jeans. However she needs a size smaller. Everyone has been great! Thank you!

Amazing!
I have never ever been able to find a tall boot I could wear because of my calf size. I origyordered the extra wide hoping they would fit. They ended up being too big and I returned for a wide. These boots are amazing. I walked through 3 in puddles and stayed dry. My only complaint is the aren’t they warmest for the foot. My toes are ice cubes by the time I’m done. I can’t really wear thick socks because for whatever reason the inside lining at the heel moves around and I have to slide it around for it to sit right. Other than a couple inconveniences, they have held up great.

Bought wide calf size 7. They were shot in the toe. The calf was too tight. I returned them.

Love the boot but sizing is way off
I followed the size chart for this boot (and even ordered a half size up in foot size) and the boots were way too small! I normally wear a size 10 and the 10.5 was very snug. The calf would have fit, if I could have gotten it on. While the measurement at the largest part of the calf was correct the top of this boot was too small to fit over the wide part my calf. So disappointing and of course now they aren't on sale. I go through a pair of "country" boots every 2 years or so (first time with this brand) as they are my go to barn boot, and this is the first time I have ever seen ones that are so small at the top. The quality looks top notch, but the size chart needs to be updated.

Quality and comfort.
I bought the chocolate color size 6, Wide Calf (my usual size is a 6) my Calf measures 13.5”. I like a more loose fit around the calf to accommodate jeans, also makes your legs look a bit thinner..just my opinion. They fit perfect for me. Super comfortable right out of the box. Very well-made. Note: The color is chocolate brown. (different than smartPaks picture) I am very happy with these boots. I do use a boot horn to slide past the heel otherwise they tend to bunch up. I believe after they break in I will no longer need the boot horn. Again I think these are great boots.

Not a fan of this ‘third edition’
I have owned at least two previous versions of this boot. Each pair has lasted several years, but they do wear out. I’d heard conflicting reviews of River III, but was unable to locate a pair of River II in my size, so I decided to try the new version. They just arrived and I have to say, I am extremely underwhelmed. The boots felt cheap from the moment I took them out of the box. The fit is very different, too. Footbed is shorter than my previous pair, much narrower in the front of the foot and sloppy in the heel area. There is ZERO padding or arch support in this version, too. Dublin, you totally struck out on the River Boot III! Please go back to River II. As for this pair of boots, they are likely going back to SmartPak.

Waterproof is real!
If I could give these boots a 10/10 I would! I was riding my horse at the beach today and his boots kept falling off. Without fear, I hopped off and walked straight into the ocean! My feet were NEVER wet at any point. With the muddy paddocks, snow, summer baths, and now this...these are by far worth every penny in my bank account. That being said, I have an 18 inch calf and ordered the wide calf, they stretched out to be slightly bigger. Ladies who have wide calves, these boots are great for us!

LOVE these boots!
Absolutely love these! Ordered XW calf just to be sure I'd have plenty of room for them to fit normally for river boots, and I'd say they run a bit smaller than the size chart would suggest, but they're still arguably a perfect fit for me. Also, super comfy straight out of the box, which is always nice. My one real complaint is that there aren't any spur rests on these, so if you're planning to ride in them, that could be an issue!
