Reviews
Dublin Venturer Boots III is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 35.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Runs big otherwise fine I should have paid attention to the other reviews that said these run large! I normally wear a size 10 and run wide across the front of my foot but my feet were positively swimming in these. However, my older boots cracked and I needed something immediate to deal with wet weather so I did not return them. With all that extra space inside the boot I was able to add a second insole (no arch support with the one it comes with) and am able to wear a heavy pair of wool socks with liner sock underneath. That's kept my feet warm this winter. But I feel like they look a bit like clown shoes since they are so large - still about a half inch too long even with all the extra sock padding. If not for the sizing issue these would've been perfect.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Had to return I tried to order a half size down based on reviews but they were still too big. I don't know if anyone else has this much trouble, but boot sizing just doesn't seem accurate. These had a slightly higher heel than I'm used to. I wear a gel pad around the ball of my foot and there was plenty of room in the toe box. But the heel height caused a little too much pressure on the ball of my foot. They are a nice looking boot and felt sturdy. Unfortunately they just don't work for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SO Comfortable These are the best seasonal boots! SO comfortable as well as warm and waterproof. These definitely run large, so be aware. I’m a 9.5-10 typically and even the 9s that I kept are still pretty roomy. These are also wide foot approved. I even walked around Boston all day, and my feet were warm, comfortable, and didn’t have aching feet afterwards. Can’t wait ti buy another pair!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great boot - runs a little big! This is a really comfortable boot that seems very durable. Definitely keeps your feet dry in the mud and water! I highly recommend them, but be aware that they run large. The first pair I ordered in my usual size and they're quite roomy. I ordered a second pair in a half size smaller and they're still a smidge roomy, but closer to my fit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great boots for the money One of your team members recommend I try these because I wanted a boot that is a little bit wider than ariat paddock boots. I read reviews on sizing and ordered these (which is ordeing slightly down in size for me - I'm either a 9.5 or 10 depending on the shoe). At first the fit, btu was unsure about the foot bed. After wearing in the barn to work and ride, I love them! My feet don't get tired or sore. We'll see how long they hold up.... I do wish they had a spur rest, but really all else is great. No rubs, work with my custom half chaps, and will be cute to wear out with jeans too ( I got black to match my half chaps).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Everyday Boot My daughter absolutely loves these boots. They are comfortable, durable and waterproof. She has had her first pair for almost a year now and wears them every day. I ordered a second pair so they were ready when these wear out. Unfortunately in the last year the sizing has changed and this pair is huge in comparison. Swapping them for down a half size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Durability & Comfort These boots are extremely well-built, durable, and comfortable! They are wide at the toe which aides tremendously with the neuropathy in my feet, allowing for pain-free use all day!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not water tight!!!! I live in the Pacific Northwest. We have lots of rain, and we have LOTS of mud. I do barn chores with these and I tell you, they are not water tight. These are my second pair of Dublins as my first are tall boots. That pair lasted 5 years of cleaning stalls, turn outs, bring ins, baths etc. etc. They have tears and look like they’ve been through a wood chipper, yet they’re still water tight. So, I would expect the same from these. Nope. Not water tight. So unless you just want to use these to wear around the barn and don’t do any barn chores, they’re fine. Really disappointed as I loved Dublin boots in the past and would recommend them to everyone. Now, I have wet socks.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Sizing is off I purchased a size 10, which is my standard size, these run like an 11 wide. I am swimming in them. Will return and try a size down

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love this boot but sizing off I had purchased this boot in size 8.5, in black, elsewhere and was blown away at how comfortable and nice they were. So much that I decided to purchase the same boot in brown from SmartPak. I have to return the boots I ordered from SmartPak as they were sized completely differently, almost like a size 9 or 9.5. Love this boot (always purchased Ariats before) but don't understand the sizing difference in the boots I received.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Absolute junk Do not buy these boots. I bought them on a whim when the Smartpak Ada Chelsea's (my go to) were on back order and the soles of my last pair were worn thin. What a colossal mistake. They costed more (even on sale) and lasted a couple of months, before the leather was done. I work in Chelsea's every day of the year, and not in gentle conditions. These boots started disappointing me within the first week. They're not using boots, and too ugly and heavy for dress. Do yourself a huge favor and buy the Smartpak Ada's...the rubber soles give out before the leather uppers and they're light, fit better and last 4x as long.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dublin boots I received these and couldn't wait to try them on.. so comfortable. Have not worn to the barn yet, but soon..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great barn boots! I am so happy I bought these boots. They are easy to slip on and great for doing barn chores. I love that they stay waterproof walking in deep mud. Just what as I was looking for at a great price!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is the best boot purchase ever! I purchased these boots wanting something I could wear in the paddock and ride in as well. These boots are EXCEPTIONAL! I have worn them several weeks in freezing rain, ice snow and mud, mud, mud! They are warm, waterproof, sturdy and steady even on ice. They also clean easily with a quick brushing or hosing off. I do condition with a leather product after each wear. Haven’t yet worn them for riding but expect they will be great for that as well. Obviously, I am very, very pleased with these boots.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very comfortable Bought these as a Christmas present for my daughter and she loves them. She wears them to the barn and hanging out with her friends. Very cute and comfortable!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So comfortable! I bought these boots 4 months ago and I love them! They do run large, but I have very wide feet, so my regular size was perfect. When I find boots/shoes that fit (which is hard because of my wide feet) I tend to buy multiple pairs, so I have both brown and black. I ride in them daily, muck stalls and run errands in them and often wear them 10 to 12 hours a day. I even get compliments on how nice they look. Thanks SmartPak!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So comfortable I used to wear these years ago and was so pleased to find them again! If these last as long as they used to, I will be so very happy!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Runs very large I want to love these boots but the sizing is way off. I wear an 8 in other Dublin styles but these size 8 measure as an 9 wide! Otherwise the quality is excellent. Disappointing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Supportive toothed, good heel height These boots are immediately comfortable and supportive. Me feet and legs feel great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great boot I have both colors I have worn these for years. I am in manure all day and they have held up and beat out the H20 model. The last pair the elastic stretched a bit but they are still comfortable, see photo. I will order again as the price is fair and worth not worrying about nasty wet ooze seeping Like what happened in the bad H20 seams.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Returned I was looking for a sleek, lightweight general riding/barn boot that was water resistant and I liked the look of these. I have a pair of tall Dublin boots that I've been happy with, so I expected to like these. They were indeed slim and sleek and they fit ok - reviews from others seemed to indicate they ran slightly large. I wear about 6/6.5 wide which means usually in tennis shoes I buy a 7 and I've gotten boots before in 7s (although I feel they tend to run a bit long). I ended up getting 6.5 for these, they were a good size in width and maybe just smidge long, but didn't feel sloppy when I was wearing them. I ended up returning them because for my right foot, there is a horizontal seam piece about halfway up the back of the ankle and it was noticeable when I tried these on (didn't bother my left foot, go figure) but it was annoying enough I knew it would likely give me a blister and when I spent that much money that was a deal breaker, so I sent them back. Wanted to like these but it just wasn't meant to be.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice boot I just received this boot as a Christmas gift; I have a pair of the Dublin Venturer Boots II and was so excited to get a new pair. Unfortunately they are HUGE--the size 8 is at least an inch too long (it fits like a size 9) so I'll have to return them for an exchange. Other than that--they are beautiful and appear to be as well made as the Venturer II boots.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Boots These are good boots for daily wear, but not great for riding. I was barely able to fit spurs on (there's no spur rest anyway). I had the Dublin Venturer Boots II for two years and loved them. These run bigger than the previous version (I should have gone a half size down) and are wider. Overall they're good boots and are comfortable to wear out of the saddle, but I would not recommend them for riding.
