Nice material. Very short.
The material is very nice and they seem to be high quality. Note-- I am 5'7" and ordinarily wear a normal height boot or half chap. I bought the medium regular height and they are about an inch shorter than I'd prefer. But it is a nice product overall.

Thin material that slides down
I bought these a few months ago. They are a thinner material then I like but I figured they would be fine; however, they are now sliding down when I ride. They are not too big, they just tend to slide down during my ride and then I have to pull them back up. I would have returned them, but I feel like too much time has passed.

Just what I'd hoped for
I've only had them for a month but so far I'm very pleased with the chaps. They are easy to put on, the zipper seems very durable and is easy to use; they fit like a dream. I originally ordered the long size and thanks to Smart Pak's customer-friendly return policy, was able to exchange them for regular length which fits me much better. This is my first pair of chaps and I'm expecting them to wear well and last for a long time.

My Go-To Chaps
I've been buying these half chaps for several years. Always a good fit, wears well and usually lasts more than a year with regular wear. Good price for a good quality product. The black was out of stock so I got the brown ones. They look good too!

Perfect for My Riding
I'm an older rider and I mostly ride through pastures checking fences and cattle. I've stopped wearing cowboy boots and picked up a pair of riding shoes and Dublin Half Chaps to go with them. They are perfect! The chaps are comfortable in the saddle and comfortable on the ground when I have to walk my horse. I have a wide calf and the XL size fit me perfectly too. I should have switched out of the cowboy boots years ago!

Very comfy!

I had worn my way through my old chaps in this exact brand/model after about 2 years but couldn't remember my size. I'm 13.75in around my calf with breeches on and 14.5in height from floor to back of knee. I originally ordered these in Medium (because I didn't think a 12.6in calf would fit!) but I had to exchange for a Small because I was swimming in the larger size. Fortunately SmartPak's return policy is amazing. The Small surprisingly fit my calf right out of the packaging but it took 2 rides to get it to stretch enough at the very bottom to zip all the way down my paddock boots easily.

Beware of Sizing!
So this is a decent pair of half chaps for the price, don't get me wrong. But I found, for me at least, the sizing to be a little off. According to the chart, I am an extra large. That was WAY too big. So ordered a Large. According to the chart, they would be tall enough. They came and it was WAY too short. Ended up ordering a Tall Large, and it's a perfect fit. Must thank SmartPak for the easy, hassle-free returns!

Great for summer riding!
I bought these chaps about a month and a half ago based on a recommendation from a friend and I've been very pleased with my purchase! Based on their measurements I ordered a small and they fit great! They are lightweight and thin to the point where I forget I'm even wearing them, even in 85 degree heat, but seem strong enough to handle activity around the barn and provide enough grip & protection for my legs. I guess their true durability will tell after more time, but so far I'm impressed and thought these were well worth the money.

Love these but they won't last forever
Just got my second pair of these and I love them. I would say they run on the large side, as I'm not a small person but these in a small stretch well to fit me perfectly over skinny jeans or breaches.
My first pair started flaking, the snaps rusted/fell off eventually and I needed a new pair but I got the same ones again and think they are worth the wear I got out of them.

Very Nice Half Chaps
I recieved this chaps as a Christmas gift in 2015. They are still holding up very nicely and are very easy to wash. There is a small tear by the zipper, but that was expected. I wear them all the time, they fit well, are comfortable, and hold up! I recommend to anyone who wants to simply wear them for everyday riding!

I have been buying the Dublin Easy Care Half Chaps for many years and I am always amazed at how well they hold up given their price. My most recent purchase was not because my old pair has given out but rather my paddock boots did and the new pair is brown not black do I had to get the brown chaps so I could remain color coordinated.

Quality seems good, especially for the price, but even though we took measurements before ordering and checked the size chart, it was not close to fitting. So glad for SmartPak's easy returns!

Really happy with these
I just wore these for the first time today and have gotten so many compliments! The material is comfortable, breathable, and provides extra grip in the saddle. I really can not believe the quality for the price; they seem to be made really well.
I am 5'9", 125 lbs, but i have pretty large calf muscles so i was a little unsure on sizing. I ended up going with a medium and surprisingly they fit perfect! If you plan on wearing them with boots that have bulky laces you might want to size up; I wear them with Ariat zip paddock boots and they work really well but with a bulkier shoe I think it would be difficult to snap shut at the bottom, even though they do stretch.
I can not say how well they will hold up since I just got them, but I would say for the price you won't find better half chaps. Give em a try!
