Amazing boots for rain / snow and natural elements
Have wanted a pair for years ... Finally received these for Christmas and am so happy with them! Wear them riding, doing barn chores, outside in the snow/rain, etc and have never had a pair of boots that are so waterproof, comfortable, and actually stylish. Definitely an actual slim fit but better for riding in as a result. Love these boots!!! Hope they will last forever.

Best Boot Ever
I live in hot humid rainy climate and was worried these would be too warm to wear. I got these toward the end of summer in the throws of 95+ temps and heavy daily thunderstorms. These boots from day one performed. I wear them in the barn and into town for shopping around. SO comfortable. Fit is super. I have a size 9 pair in the slim Galway. I normally buy a size 8.5 shoe. My calf size at the calf muscle is 13 and 17 high in 1/2 chap sizing if that gives you an idea of how they run fit-wise.

Very good calf fit . Foot was a little less supportive than I anticipated , but there's enough room for insole if needed or wanted , or one can just wear thicker sox too.

Happiness is a New Pair
Thanks to a great experience with Smart Pak, I received an exchanged pair of Galway slim fits that have a different, soft leather piece at the top of the boot where you insert your foot. Furthermore, this pair is constructed so that the measurements for the calves are equal and conform to the chart. The first pair I received were defective (see previous review). I found these boots immediately comfortable with ample room for a half footbed insert and light knee-high wool socks. I use an insert because these boots have little arch support and I have plantar fasciitis in one foot. I wear a size 9 US and ordered a size 40 Dubarry.

Like to Love
I just bought these boots and back they go! As another reviewer reported, the top leather piece where the lace is, is really tight and in fact, on the right boot, it is 1 inch smaller than the left. I have very thin calves - people laugh (me too)! They measure a scant 14+ inches and I'm 5'8". I struggled to get a size 40 on the left foot and could not get my foot in on the right. That leather band is very stiff. I wear a size 9 and may try a 41, but meanwhile, SP is sending me a new pair of size 40's so I can try both pairs of shoes on. My advisor was so helpful! Size 9 is really in between a 40 & 41 Dubarry shoe.

Love this boot, but too slim
I love this boot, but it is indeed a very slim fit. I had to return them because they would not work for me. When they say slim fit...they mean slim fit!

Great for for thin legs
I was so hoping these boots would live up to being the "top of the line" waterproof boot. There are not many brands in this style that fit slim calves. Unfortunately the footbed had no arch support. I didn't think the outer sole was top quality Thta I was expecting from DuBarry.

Just what we were looking for!
My daughter is a 5 ft 8 in teen. She has wanted dubarrys for a long time but her sz 10 foot limited her to a WAY too big calf. So we were thrilled to find these in a slim fit. The height and circumference are Perfect, a little loose with jeans tucked in. The color is beautiful too. Quality is the best too, as expected from dubarry.

Gorgeous boots - a bit too slim :(
Loved the boots but they were a tad too tight to wear with jeans tucked in. I have skinny calves and these were perfect without the jeans. Expensive but great quality. I exchanged these for the Clare boots so I can tuck in jeans and ride in them.

Too "slim" where lace is.
I ordered these thinking the slim fit would be perfect but turned out they were a little too slim at the uppermost part where the lace is. I ordered a 7.5 (38), I am 5'3", 115lb and calf measures at largest 13.5". I tried them on with Tailored Sportsman Trophy Hunters and tall boot socks (very thin) and they were too tight so I know they wouldn't fit with jeans. Everything was perfect except the very top of the opening.

Very slim
Regular Galways have very roomy calves, so I tried these (5'5" with 13.5" calf with jeans on), and these were too tight at the top with jeans/breeches. They say just 1.5" smaller than regular Galway, but these were only about 13" or less at the top. Have had my old Galways for over 10 years now, and they are the best, so I will reorder those and add inserts like last time!

Great boots!
This mom of a dressage rider was looking for some taller, weather resistant boots with a slim calf. With this Dubarry style, I found the perfect boot! Typically, I wear a size 8.5 (39) but when wearing even a fairly thin sock, I felt the foot fit was a bit too tight for me. I went up to a size 40 and all fits well!

Great product, worth the $
Only had it for about 2wks but it's keeping my feet warm, dry, and they are really stylish too! I use em at the barn and around town. I did buy the dubarry insoles to give them a little extra padding. Can't comment on durability just let though.

Wonderful boots!
I'm in love with these boots. Although I'm not a rider, I do a lot of outdoor activities, including walking my dogs in the woods. These boots are stylish and functional, can't beat that combination! I'm so happy they were available in SlimFit.

Best boots ever!
I have been wearing these non stop for approximately one month - they go everywhere and are immediately comfortable. The leather breaks in nicely and only improves with time. This is a practical purchase which is highly recommended. I have weirdly small calves and the boots fit great with skinny jeans and regular pants tucked in.
