Perfect
Great treat for getting those pesky pills in your equine buddy. Just squishy enough to hide the pill but doesn't fall apart. My 26 year old quarter horse takes his arthritis meds everyday with one of these!

Easy Medication Adminstration
I can stuff 2 bute pills into the pocket, and my easy-keeper mare gobbles them up. They get a little crumble if you try to completely cover the pills though.

The bomb!!!!
Finally an easy way to give a pill to my horses!! They go GaGa over these dimples! I put the pill in the center and gently squeeze it closed. Pop it right in the horses mouth and all he thinks is- whoa what an amazing treat! I’m confident the pill got into the horse and not wasted, dropped off picked out.

1st container I received was great!! They squeezed together great! No pieces, 2nd & 3rd batches, break apart when squeezing together! Not good. She doesn’t eat her pill like she used to.

My mare loves the taste. However, as others have mentioned, they crumble and fall apart very easily. The one time I did manage to successfully cover the pills and sat the treat down before feeding her, it had completely crumbled apart just sitting on the table. Ended up feeding it to her in the bucket. Going to try other products.

Crumble too much
These smell great and the horses love them, but they aren't the greatest for pills as they crumble and fall apart when you try to squeeze them around a pill. They work great for dropping a pill in and immediately feeding it to your horse, but I set up my horse's equioxx pills weeks ahead of time so it's super easy for other people to give him his pill when I can't be there, and these do not work for this purpose at all. I probably will not purchase these again.

Great for Meds
I am at a full board facility and noticed my mare would leave her medication behind in her feed bowl. I tried Dimples and my mare ate it right up. These treats have ensured that even when I'm not there, my mare is nibbling up the medication that is so important for her to have.

Dog loves them, hard to hide pills in
Welp...my dog loves them. I set up my horse’s pills in these and my dog gobbled them up while I had my back turned. Fun trip to the vet, don’t worry he’s fine.
These treats crumble. Hard to hide the pills in them because they just crumble when you try to squeeze them together. My mare also wasn’t super enthusiastic about them (even when giving them to her first without the pills). I had to switch to the German horse muffins which did a MUCH better job holding pills. They just tend to be tougher to mold, but warming them up a bit worked perfectly.
Sucks, cause now I have an almost full container of these treats and an empty bag of horse muffins.

Sweet Treat
The ponies love the taste! Unfortunately, because I need to break up the treat to place the medicine for Cushings it crumbles up. A better treat for this is the Nicker Doodles. It holds together better when you break it up.

Love these for giving meds & I love smartpak, but 60-70% of the time, the dimples container arrives broken and I have dried out dimples & chunks/crumbs all over the box. Otherwise I love these!!

Great way to give your horse pills
I use this to give my picky eater his prescription medication. This is the best way I have found to make sure he is eating his pills. It's very easy to shape around the pill and my horse happily gobbles it up.

My horses absolutely love these!
I use these for my cushings horse Prascend pill every morning. I actually only use a small piece of it for his pill and split the rest of the treat with my other two horses since they love them so much. I think with the molasses probably not the best option to feed a whole treat to a cushings horse daily but you can easily split them into smaller pieces and they would last a long time with only giving a section of the treat to one horse! They stay nice and fresh in the container and have a long shelf life. I have used these for many years and so happy to see that Smartpak carries them now and I can even have them on autoship!
I also use them to put Bute tablets in and they work amazing since the horses love the taste and don't even notice the Bute! I also think they are a good value for 60 treats and so much easier than putting pills in something like a carrot, etc.

Horse liked the taste but I wasn't impressed...
My horse thoroughly enjoyed the taste of these treats but I found them quite dry and difficult to mold closed. After placing the medication in the hole, I found that either it was difficult to close over the hole or if I did close the hole, the sides or bottom would start to split open. I did my best to squeeze it all together or role it into a ball but sometimes the treat just wouldn't conform. I think my batch was just too dry!
