love cotton
Bought this because I have purchased several of these hay nets and very happy with them, I have lost one after SEVERAL years of use because with wet mouths and a bit of chewing to get to hay they come apart but are easy to tie broken pieces together to continue using

Wow!
My first impression when I opened this was WOW, this is great! I am used to nylon and really loved the softness of the cotton, the size of the bag (it can hold a lot!) and appreciated the length of the rope. I even came up with a great barn hack using them! Downsides:The holes are almost too big so I use it only with my larger bales of hay and use small-holed nylon with compressed bales. I worry about the rings. They're the same size as the nylon nets which have failed in my experience. The tiny ring size doesn't seem to fit with the rest of the heftiness of the bag. I would recommend a size or two larger to the manufacturer. They also have frozen on colder mornings which makes it unusable.

Exactly what I was looking for
I bought these about a month ago, and they are exactly what I wanted they have big holes which is perfect for the long stem grass hay that I am feeding. I did have a weanling break one but I was able to tie it back together and it's working fine I'm happy it torn and broke before it cut or hurt her. I ordered 10 more last Friday!

Sturdy, Good quality
I have been using this net for a week now and it has held up nicely. The downfall is the holes are rather large, my horse can stick his whole face in one. Other than that, works great!

Large capacity, Soft to handle
I have had several cotton rope hay nets in years past. I really like them. They hold a whole square bale of hay - bales are smaller than they use to be. The cotton rope is not only softer on my hands than the other synthetic material that gets rough and scratchy with use --- most importantly softer on my equine's face. The popular slow feed hay nets just are not enough for my big guy. I noticed some of the synthetic plastic rope sometimes called nylon nets cause abrasions on his muzzle. With the long rope I can tie it up or hang it from different locations as needed.

Strong!

Holes too big
Bought this for my trailer. It is easy to load, but the holes are so large, most of the hay falls out.

Cotton Tough
So soft but so durable! My mare is in love with it.. No more worrying about her scraping her sensitive skin on hay nets! Build well and super plush. Love it!

Good quality
I really like this hay net. I wish the holes were a little bit smaller but love the fact it holds so much hay, especially for long trailer rides. The cotton hay nets do seem to last longer than most

great hay bag!!
I bought this hay bag about a month ago. It's a very nice bag. Plenty big enough to last a couple horses most of the day. Pretty easy to fill with a nice wide opening.

Just what I was looking for
Right size easy to fill and close. Haven't used it long enough to speak to durability. Wish there was another rope hay net with smaller holes for my more voracious eaters...

Great Product
This hay net is made of thick cotton rope and is extra large, exactly what I wanted for holding enough hay for feeding my horses twice a day. The drawstring rope was so long I cut about a foot off so it wouldn't hang too low and become dangerous (better too long than not long enough!). The metal rings make it easy to fill by hanging them on a couple of utility hooks that normally hold my manure forks.

Tie rope breaks on first use
Used the recommended hay bag hooks and hung them up. All three bags had their rope break the first time I used it. Loved the metal rings for it to go through though. Put a poly rope from and old hay bag and now using that. Maybe my horses are rougher than others but I doubt it.

Although may people have issues with the large holes in the hay nets I love them! I rarely leave my horses unattended with these haynets, but they're perfect for horses at shows ans such.

Nice haynet
I've run the gamut over the years between rope and poly haynets and hay bags and I've returned to the standard, rope haynet of my distant childhood. True, they're not as easy to fill as a hay bag, but they're cheaper for the initial purchase price and although they probably waste more hay than a hay bag, I don't think by much and in my case, I'm not using it all that often. I did try the small hole haybag (also bought from Smartpak) and it was so efficient in conserving hay that it ticked my mare off. She couldn't get any hay out of it at all, which defeats the purpose. So, I like this haynet and so does my mare. It's fairly easy to fill (they're all dexterity puzzles), it ties nicely as it comes with an attached rope that's long enough to loop around things, and my mare can get hay out of it. What's not to love? Reasonably priced, too.

I like it!
I bought this for my gelding for showing, but I did not want him to have to starve and eat from the little holes in other hay nets! It works very well, holds at least 5 flakes, and will last you the whole day! Great price!

Great hay net!
This hay net is great but my horse was very messy with this net due to the big holes so I got him the other hay net below! both work excellent my horse is simply neater with the smaller holes!

Good hay net!
My horse makes a mess of his stall so I got him this in hope that he would keep his stall neater. This worked perfectly he still enjoys his hay but now also has a clean stall. The hay net also makes him eat a little slower which makes the hay last longer!

Great for trailering...
I purchased a hay net to use for trailering, and it does work well! I had to rig it up to hang right in front of the divider in our two horse trailer, so that it doesn't swing around when we are on the road. It seems to work out that way! Other than being a little bit tricky to get the hay in...and I think all hay nets this style are that way!...it is great! Definitely recommended. This is always a fixture in our trailer!

Love It!
This is a great hay net to use if you want to offer free choice hay. It easily holds 40-50 lbs. of hay. The holes are large so the horse doesn't have to work at eating. There's less waste vs. feeding them in a feeder or on the ground. The only thing that I didn't like was how long the tie rope was, so I cut it off and used a carabiner to hook through the metal rings and clip it to an eye bolt.

Rope hay bag.
I have one already. They last forever. I bought one for friend and another one for me. I think the price for a hay is high but if you can keep up with it and don't loan it to folks that will not return it it will last. I have had one for 14 years and used it at least 30-40 times a year in & out of the trailer, shows, and overnight in stalls. I like that you can fit the whole bale and then cut the strings. I wish I could have gotten it a color other than white.

Good and sturdy
My mare has trashed nylon hay nets in one trip, but this net shows no signs of fraying after 4 trips this summer. It also holds 3 flakes easily. I would give it 5 stars if I'd used it a bit more to see how long it would hold up. A very good hay net at a good price.

Excellent Value and Function
Extremely soft cotton rope and large enough to easily fit 4-6 flakes of hay. The rope portion to hang the net is extra long so you can hang in mulitple types of situations. I hang it off a screw eye in my stall so I do have to loop it thru twice to make sure that it hangs high enough. The only thing that would make this better is if it came in black instead of white!

As advertised
This net works well. I like the fact that the manufacturer provides lots of extra rope to tie up the net so you can lengthen/shorten it to fit any number of situation.
