Instructions
Instructions for Use:
- Clean and dry surface area
- DO NOT PICK OFF SCABS. Please allow scabs to fall off on their own.
- Scoop paste from container, spreading (like cream cheese on a bagel) making sure it is on skin.
- Let dry until paste has turned white. Leave on for 2 days.
- If area is not completely healed repeat above.
- Reapply if necessary to areas that may have become exposed or worn off.
- If you need to remove dried paste at any time, do not rub off... slightly moisten until paste is soft.

Scratches Miracle Cure
My new guy came to us with severe scratches on his white legs. We tried it all, including Rx topical meds from our vet. At the peak of frustration, I decided to give Coat Defense a try. Within a week we started seeing improvements. After a month, they were just about cleared up! The scratches were bad and it took probably a good 2 -3 months for his legs to completely clear up, but this was the ONLY product to work! I continue to keep a jar on hand for any potential flare ups, or other nicks. I'll also use the preventative powder occasionally just to make sure we're staying on top of things! I highly recommend!

I really wanted to love this
I heard so many great things about Coat Defense and I really wanted to love it! I got this to treat my mare's scratches on her pastern/hocks and I really didn't see much improvement. It's not easy to put on and my mare was super sensitive to it. She's 24/7 turnout and it seemed to stay on the areas that weren't affected, but came off the areas that needed it most almost immediately. I'm keeping this to try on her bug bites in the summer, but for scratches it just didn't cut it. Especially for the price of the tiny container.

Best stuff on the Market
I bought this since nothing else seemed to work on my mare scratches. I've been using it for 3 weeks now and I can't believe how much it has cleared up. This product has been a life saver and can't say enough about it. IT'S THE BEST!!

Good stuff!
This paste helps clear up my gelding’s itchy summer spots on his neck/chest and belly midline. It dries to a hard crust which lasts a few days, and then flakes off. The crusted paste acts as an insect barrier, which also really helps the skin to heal.

Great!
I use this initially when the skin is broken and/or there’s some inflammation (like a bite mark). It takes the swelling right out in about a day and I continue to apply it until the skin looks healthy and rejuvenated. Then I apply MTG to stimulate the hair follicles to grow back. 10/10 would recommend and a little goes a long way!

Love Paste - Hate Container
The paste is great. Dries up summer sores and keeps bugs off since it is such a thick paste. BUT... I have had 2 jars. the first jar I dropped and the bottom busted completely. I just ordered another jar and when it arrived in the mail, the jar was busted and the paste had leaked everywhere. They really need to redesign the packaging.

Gets rid of it all in only a few days!!
I have only been using this one my horse for a week and it’s already almost gone! he has extreme rain rot on all over his back legs and it removes it all! Without the rain rot, it makes my horse more comfortable and much easier to groom and clip those areas!!

Love this product
I love this paste. It smells good. Only natural and my horse loves the smell of it too. He always twists around to get to sniff it when I put it on him. He would eat it if he could. Anyways it’s good drying paste I believe improves the rain rot issues. I also use it on dry scabby elbows from girth or laying down.

Works really well and really fast!
My horse has had a terrible bout of scratches, and nothing seemed to help. This stuff is amazing, and he's almost completely healed after just a couple of applications. It's thick and feels almost gritty, and stays in place even when they're outside. Can't reccomend enough!

This stuff is the best!
Basically forms a scab of healing over a wound. It healed a summer sore I had been battling for a year and also works on wounds. This is a “must have” in any horse owners tool kit. It’s expensive but it really is worth it.

Great product
I bought this for scratches,mud fever for 4 horses. Fall was very wet and there was no place dry that didnt turn to mud. Worked on 3 or 4 horses after the first time. Still working on the other horse, but had to order more.

Effective and Nontoxic!
I have been using Coat Defense paste on the lesson horses at my barn who have a whole bunch of miscellaneous skin funk (scratches, big bites, cannon crud). I slather a thick layer on the problem spots and a few days later I always see positive results. Definitely a product to keep on hand in your tack box! I love this stuff.
