Old version was better
I've sworn by the Arma bell boots for years but my most recent pair was disappointing. I liked the older style better, it felt more secure. So far these are still holding up after a couple of weeks of use but they also seem much larger than before? I got the full size for my 16h TB with pretty decent sized feet and they've come off her twice in a week. The plus side is the velcro is still intact, but didn't much when I watched one fly off going cross country. I'll have to switch to a smaller size or different brand.

Real drop in quality—so disappointing
Until recently, I have sworn by these boots for durability, value, and overall quality. Recently, though, Shires changed the design of their boots from two Velcro straps to one large one, and from a reinforced rubber cover to a single attachment point of the Velcro to the rubber. I am so disappointed! The new style only lasted my guy 3 weeks! I’ve been hunting for the old style boots but can’t find them. I really hope the product team goes back to their previous standard of quality.

Best bells ever!
I was a die-hard Davis bell boot fan for most of my many, many years with horses. I grew to accept the Velcro falling off as part of the deal.
These boots are the most durable bell boots I’ve ever used. My horse has been wearing them 24/7 for three months with no damage, digs, rips, tears - nothing.
Absolutely worth every penny and now I have two pairs in my tack room just in case…although I do not think I will need them for a long time.

My favorite bell boots!
These are my favorite bell boots because they are durable and do not rub on my horse's legs. Other bell boots can be stiff rubber that breaks easily or have Velcro that doesn't hold up in cold or wet climates. I ordered these boots in orange so I can easily find them in snow when my young thoroughbred decides to take them off! He is very destructive and these boots have held up well! The fit is perfect and have offered great protection when my horse overreaches. I highly recommend these bell boots to all my friends for riding and turnout.

Did not keep the shoes on
My horse wore these one time in the field and threw a shoe. I could not use them again because they did not work for my horse. They seem durable but not for my horse in the field.

Boots are falling apart
Boots are not sturdy. Used lightly for riding for a few months only, stitching is ripped and boots are falling apart.

Great product
These are great!! Wont last forever tho, and not for those that can pull off bell boots easily. Great for a low maintenance mare that needs them just for riding. These are great for the price. Last 3-6 months.

Great fit and quality!
I have had a heck of a time trying to find bell boots to fit my two Fjords. They each wear size 2 shoes. I have tried numerous different brands. They are often not long enough in the back or too thin and fall apart in a matter of weeks. Who knew it could be so difficult to find good quality bell boots that fit? The other issue I run into with Fjords is that no one can tell them apart. LOL. I've learned to color code them. One wears purple and the other wears teal. These just happened to fit our color scheme! Added bonus!!!! I will say that the Teal pair I bought back in May 2023 are not Teal! They are more like a dark shade of Green. Please bring back my Teal!!! However for the price, the quality, the fact they fit and can survive Michigan winters I can't really complain.

Color not accurate
I wanted turquoise-y teal boots, just like the ones in the picture. These are definitely TEAL teal and more on the darker/greener side compared to the photo. Other than that they seem fine.
