Great boot!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After trying on many boots and struggling to fun a good fit for our daughter, we finally found boots that fit! She loves how they feel. Our only frustration is that the zipper, after only a few wears, falls down on its own while she is riding. Even with a drop period, it will still drop and she needs to adjust it. There are others at her barn with the same boot and same issue. Other than that, they are great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought these boots 6 years ago, and I’m just now buying a new pair.. that says a lot about the quality. I wear a size 9, but because I need it to be a bit bigger in the calf, I got a 9.5 medium with wide (try finding them locally to try on too, that helped me with sizing!) and with my socks it fits perfectly. Even though the old ones, with some leather conditioner look great, the only reason I bought a new pair was for the last year my zipper started to fall down and not hold during the ride. Otherwise, for showing or schooling I absolutely love these boots, very versatile!

Comfy and stylish

I wear these boots for 5-8 hours a day and they are really comfortable and they came out of the box. I love the Spanish top and the trim fit and would happily wear them as show boots as well as my everyday boots.hey They seem to hold up well to daily use too!

Ouch!!! Bruising by closure
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ouch!! I am two weeks into breaking in a pair of these. The measurements are correct: they “fit” along the calf. But right behind my knee where it buttons I have an ugly bruise that have developed into welts. I wear these for several hours each day as I have two horses and teach some lessons. They feel broken in everywhere other than the closure right at the top of the boot which is where the welt is. Can’t decide if this will stretch and get better or it’s time to admit defeat!

These boots are fabulous! My last Ariats lasted 7 years and it was time for new ones. The style of this boot is sleek and elegant. I need the tall size and it took only a week to break in. I love the spur rests and the bigger button cover for the zipper. I highly recommend these boots!

Zipper slides down easily
Easy to break in, flattering, comfortable fit, but unfortunately zippers are hard to lock in place & slide down easily during normal riding & bending down (for grooming etc). Very disappointed.

Excellent boot at a fantastic price
I bought these for schooling, but they are nice enough to show in. Much more comfortable than my custom Tuccis... these have been wearable from day one. I am 5'4" with 13" calves and I ordered the short slim; very attractive, plenty tall, well fitted with flex in the ankles. My normal size is 7.5 but I had to return the first pair for a size 8, the almond shaped toe makes them feel a little small in the toe box. I put Protalus orthotics in all my boots and added a 1/4" gel lift until they drop. One thing that could be better is the top of the leg@back zipper. The shaft curves in and gets very tight behind the knee and the zipper cuts into the back of the knee painfully. I have been spraying with alcohol and using a stretcher at the top and riding with the zipper down an inch. I had the same issue with my old Ariat Nitros and they broke in eventually to be very comfy.

Calf Sizing Issues
I first tried these boots on in a short regular, but they were super easy to zip, hence, not tight enough in the calf. So I measured myself and measured "short slim" and ordered those instead, but they were suffocatingly tight. The foot and footbed themselves were perfect and great for wide feet. I don't know why this would be the case when I measured, I think there might be sizing issues.

Lovely boot, calf too curvy for me
I ordered these to replace my schooling boots. Delivery was fast, 3 days. The leather is really nice and the boots are very pretty, but unfortunately the fit doesn't work for me. The foot is fairly narrow with an almond toe making them feel smaller than a size 7.5, and although I think it might stretch to be more comfortable, the calf is really the problem, it's very curvy and there's so much extra room it looks comical. I am 5'4" 125lb 13" calves, I ordered a 7.5 Medium Short based on previous reviews that said the calves run tight in this style. They probably run TTS, if anything I think they are generous and curvy (in relation to my lack of curves). The height is perfect and would only need minor drop to be really comfortable. Sadly, these have to go back and the Narrow Short is back-ordered until January so it looks like I'll be wearing my old schooling boots a bit longer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a reconstructed left foot , permanent big screw . my foot dr looked at the construction of the ariat footbed and gave them 5 stars . i agree. the first version of this style from ariat was called the volare, i still have them 8 years later . they are amazing , i wear them everyday , needless to say they are my barn boots now. i bought these because the design is so similar . THESE V SPIRT ZIP DRESSAGE BOOTS ARE IMMEDIATELY COMFORTABLE WHEN YOU PUT THEM ON!! The footbed is great , the look of them is beautiful , they have air vents to help cool your calf , and Ariat footwear (i have a lot of … paddock boots, work boots , even a pair of short dress boots to go out in ) it is THE BEST!!!! As a person who likes style and needs good foot support , I can truly say , I LOVE THESE BOOTS !!

Great boots!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These boots fit great and I really liked the sporty look even more than I thought I would. They were very comfortable and would have broken in easily. The foot was comfortable, though it has that toe turned up look that some sneakers have and I don't love that for my feet. They probably would have broken in great though. I didn't keep these boots because I ordered two pairs, the Heritage Contour and these and chose the other ones. I always ride in the same boots every day, for lessons, and in clinics or shows, but if I was the type of person who used two pairs of boots, I would definitely have kept these.

Perplexed
Ordered boots per my measurements - boots arrived right boot fit perfectly and foot was so comfy. Left boot couldn't zip up - my left calf is slightly larger than my right. So I ordered another pair with the next calf width up. I found no difference in the size of the right boot and the foot bed wasn't as comfortable. Did get the right one zipped up. Wore them around the house for a little bit. The boots are lovely, stylish, I really like them but am really disappointed this pair's footbed isn't as comfortable as the first pair. I'm not sure I would call the Pro-Performance innersole as cushiony. All the other reviews have been so positive so not sure what's going on with the pair I received. Ariats are the only paddock boots I'll wear so needless to say, I'm sad these didn't work.

Great boots
I love these boots so far. There has been minimal break-in time. They felt great on the first ride. I walked quite a bit in them too, the foot bed is cushy! The fit was good out of the box. The calves are snug but I anticipate some stretch. I have only ridden 3 times in them so I can’t speak to how they will hold up.

X-wide fit is deceivingly small! BAD measurements
Leather quality and foot comfort is supreme! I have an extra wide calf. However, "plus" size boots are way too big for me.
My Dublin daily boots have the same "size chart" measurements around the calf as these Ariats.
I was so excited when I found these, with the appearance of extra give of a vented "elastic" gusset. Imagine your favorite brand with a measurement the same as decent boots. You think you've hit the jackpot!! Wrong.
Sadly they seem to be oddly measured. I could not close the zip on my calf. The boot fit up my ankle and could be buttoned behind my knee. Unless I wanted to find a place to alter them these boots are not truly x-wide.
3 stars for a beautiful appearance, and knowing how well the shoe is constructed.

Love the upgrade
I usually buy a new pair of v sports every year, they’re my daily ride wear and schooling show boot - though I do feel this newer model could also go into the rated show ring. This model no longer shows the perforation on the outside panel and has a clean sleek look. In the past my v sports last a year riding 2-3 horses daily with low to moderate upkeep (basically cleaning monthly before shows). Broke in beautifully and comfortable by the 3rd ride. Will report back on longevity but I’m feeling pretty confident. Oh also, I followed the size chart but also ordered my usual size
