Take a bit to break in
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I found the measurements to be accurate but the break in period around the ankles is rough. A few bandaids got me through. Comfy foot bed. Wish there was a zipper keeper.

Love these! They are super comfortable. I get complements on them all the time - they look like expensive boots

Ankle fit is great!
After trying a few boots, I couldn’t find any that fit contoured around the ankle. These boots are perfect! They fit great everywhere, except the top is a little loose but not loose enough to make a difference in anything.

Looks good but looks are deceiving.
I tried this boot thinking it was the closest to my extremely comfortable Volant S that are short wide model. The fit is completely different. And the short doesn’t come in extra wide to make it work for me. The toe box area is much narrower than Volant S. Bring back the old Volant S please!

Great Boots!
Great boots! I have larger calves and was always told I’d need customs but these were super stretchy and fit like a glove. Not to mention the grip! I’ve never felt more secure in the saddle.

Quality Problems
Pro: The foot bed is comfortable and the sole is secure in the stirrup. The boots break in very quickly - rideable the first day and 'broken in' after the first week. Buy the tightest leg circumference you can stand as the leather will stretch. As the leather stretches, the boot will wrinkle and drop significantly. Boot trees will help.
Con: The quality is POOR. Within 2 months, the gusset on the top of the foot tore open. The second gusset tore at 3 months. At 6 months, the zipper got sticky and then multiple teeth popped and wont hold. At the barn, several people have these boots and all have problems.... holes worn through the leg/ankle leather, bad zippers, awkward wrinkling creates blisters, etc. These boots are pricey for breakage at 3 months, 12-18 months wear.
If you purchase, keep back up boots. Assume a short life on these boots.

Appearance problem
Perfect in every way except the perforated leather. I could use these for jumper shows otherwise and would have kept them! As it was, I returned them because I didn’t want to also need a separate pair of show boots.

Nice looking
According to the measurements the wide should have fit, but one boot not even close(I always go by that leg for measurements. I need a short extra wide, which ariat lists but never seems to make

Perfect size and length
Before these Tall were available my daughter needed to buy a larger size to get the correct length. She needed to wear 3 pairs of socks. She loves these and they fit perfectly.

Favorite!
Super comfortable straight out of the box. I use them as my schooling boots on 5-7 horses a day. They last quite awhile and this is my 3rd pair!

Don’t last
I have used the different “versions” of this boot for years. Now, however, I have had a pair for six months. The sole is completely falling off, the zipper and snaps get stuck almost daily, and the piping material next to the zipper wore and started to tear in less than a month.

Question!
these are a little on the expensive side for me, because I have to buy my own and I have no job and I'm only 13. I was wondering if they look a little bit chunky while they are on. I am looking for durable boots. I do jumping and ride about 3 times a week. I also work at the barn mucking stalls and would love to be able to wear these while I do that. Do you
think they would hold up? my last pair of boots ripped because a horse stepped on them. Please answer one of my questions if you have any useful information!
Thanks!

Great quality
Bought as an everyday boot. Very comfortable and fit well. Has extra thick layer where spur strap comes over which is great for me as I wear holes in my arches.

So Comfortable!
These boots break in so easily! So comfortable right out of the box. These have the perfect amount of stretch and the look is unique while still being traditional. I've only ridden in them a few times but I am so happy with them. I will update my review once I wear them more!

My favorite riding boots!
I love these boots! This is my second pair. One criteria that I have for riding apparel is that it is so comfortable I don't think about it at all when I'm riding my horses! These fit that criteria. They require no break in and have nice foot support (I have extremely picky feet!). My first pair lasted more than 5 years with minimal care so I hope that these will do the same. The only thing that I miss is the blue top on my old boots as the new ones are solid black. No big deal but I enjoyed wearing something a little distinctive.

Love These Boots!
I had a pair of Ariat Volant S I needed to replace. Sadly they are no longer being made. I was hesitant to buy the V Sport because they were less expensive, but I am pleasantly surprised by these boots. Ariat must have been listening to all the complaints over the years, because these have a high quality, sturdy zipper up the back. There is a nice patch of grippy leather on the inside calf. I’m 5’5” and the boots just touch the back of my knee, but the leather is soft and they should drop enough so it’s not an issue. I can tell they will break in quickly. There’s good support in the footbed. I wear 8-8-1/2 and the 39s give me a bit of room which is fine. These are three-season boots, there’s no insulation for winter riding. I’m very happy with my purchase!

Don't hold up to regular schooling
I ride 3-6 horses 3 days a week. After just 4 months, these boots are showing significant wear. What bothers me the most is the zippers keep falling, there's no way to lock them in place. If you use your leg, I don't recommend these boots. Half chaps work better and last longer for regular schooling in my opinion.

Great boots, but narrow toe
I didn’t keep these boots because the toe box was too narrow for my feet. However, these are really lovely boots if you can wear a pointed toe box. The perforated leather on the outside of the calf is so light and supple feeling, and the inside is nice grippy Buffalo leather. The footbed is supportive and comfortable. The zipper is quality. I wish I could wear them, but as I’ve aged, I just can’t take a narrow toe anymore. Boo.

Long lasting and comfy
I’ve had these boots for several years, the first year I worked as an assistant trainer and rode multiple horses a day in them and worked all day. They’re very comfy, break well around ankle, and clean up great. Since I’ve been riding less but still have not had any wear problems and hope they will continue to last. I am usually an xs calf but they only had sm available when I got them and it was fine since I am not looking for a show fit for my every day boot. They were not actually that loose so maybe they fit small around the calf?
Love these boots and will likely get again as my everyday pair when mine eventually give out.

Odd fit
Look I love my old Volants. The zippers busted and I thought time for another pair. These are NOT that. I’ve had them
For 5 months and they still tear my feet up and haven’t dropped enough to be comfortable. Huge disappointment .

Best boots I’ve ever had
I have had these boots for 2 years now and they don’t look a day off brand new, if you look after them properly ensuring you clean a polish them then they will last you a very long time!

Nice boots
These are about the only ariat boots you can find in a wider calf fit and smaller foot sizes these days
They’re not as high quality leather as the vortex or nitro boots, but they fit well and They’re much cheaper than those others.
I wish ariat would still make the more expensive boots in the x wide calf below a size 9 though!! These are great for schooling but hard to polish them up for the show ring
