Nice boot for the money
The fit was a tad large but good for my high instep foot. I wish the ankle part was a little wider as it is very snug on my leg, even with the elastic inserts. It is comfortable and love the front zipper option.

I bought this style of boot when my old Heritage IV zip-ups were finally too thrashed to continue. I figured I'd give these a shot since they were so much less and look and feel nearly identical. At this point, I've had them for nearly a year and they still look brand new! They clean up well, are super comfy, and seem to be just as durable as every other pair of Ariat boots I've owned. Looking forward to years of good use out of these!

Quickly became my everyday boot...
I got my Ariat Scout paddock boots around the holidays, so I have had them about two months now. The initial "stiff" break-in period was about a week... but after that they fit like a glove. I literally have worn them everyday since then and they are holding up great at the office and around the barn. I especially love the quick zip on/off when I am in a hurry. The only reason I gave them four (4) stars is because I feel they run a half-size too big. I usually wear a size 8 so I bought a size 8, but I think a 7.5 would fit better. The half-size too big was fine with thick winter socks, but with "normal" socks they are a bit loose. Other than that, I am very happy with them. : )

There okay
I bought these about a month ago, the day they arrived I started wearing them. The sizing it about right I normally wear a 10 and went down half a size and got a 9.5 and they fit fine just like all my ariats. Just when I thought they were being broken in I was wrong I came home with a huge blister on the back of my heel, they seem very hard to break in and stiff, and the ankle width seems very narrow I have come home with rings around where the top of the boot has dug into skin. I have always loved all my ariats from my terrains to even cowboy boots, I love the comfort soles and the quality seems to be good, but I just don't find that these are as comfortable as I would have liked, I just feel my tall boots were easier to break in then these paddock boots.

Good quality at a reasonable price
I bought these boots, because the more expensive waterproof version didn't stay waterproof for very long and I was tired of shelling out that much money for paddock boots. So far, these boots have held up well. I try to only wear them for riding and light barn work - no manure or heavy soaking in water. They look as nice as the more expensive boots.

These boots were purchased for my daughter. She was replacing them with the exact make as she had before only bigger (major growth spurt!). Can't be too bad if she wants the exact thing as before...Her previous ones held up well after horses stepping on them and water, muck, you name it, these have been through everything and I expect this pair will be put through as rough treatment as the first! She wears a size between 7 and 8 shoes (depending on style and make)...so I ordered the 8 (I figured when in doubt go bigger). They were a bit too big so after a pleasant conversation with a sales rep on the phone, I put an order in for a half size down and received the new ones in a very timely matter. If the boot fits...well, she's wearing them!

Loose strings
I bought a pair, wore them out to the barn the day after they arrived for a typical day at the barn. By the time I got home a string was coming out of the sole. Smartpak exchanged them without an issue for a new pair, and again wore them out to the barn and after 6 hours of barn work, a string was coming out of the sole.

Does the job for a lesser price
I have had almost every kind of the Ariat paddock boots, and these boots are fine. Not as comfortable as most of their other boots. After 2 weeks of hard use(2-4 horses ridden 7 days a week and at least 5 miles of hilly coastal ground) they still haven't broken in very well. Not super flexible. Don't look or keep as nice as the more expensive ariat boots. BUT, they do the job. If you are on a budget, they are great. If you aren't worried about aesthetics, they are great. If you are physically durable and don't care about them breaking in quick, they are great. I might not buy them again, but the price is fair for the quality you get.

So happy I bought these!
I have extremely sensitive feet so I was worried about breaking these in, but from the first wear I've had no issues. They are so comfortable and look really sleek! Very happy that I purchased these.

comfortable & quick break in
I got these boots about a month ago and love them! They are comfortable and good quality boots that have stood up wonderfully to regular barn work. They broke in quickly and have held up very well.

Comfortable and nice looking boots.
Bought these boots to go with the matching half chaps and they are really quite comfortable. Break in after one wear and clean up easily. For the price these boots are a great deal.

Great material, very comfortable
I've only worn these once since buying them, in an hour long jumping lesson. Very comfortable, although like any boot a bit stiff in the ankle until they'll be fully broken in. I think the ankle fits well, maybe a little looser than I'd like (but my ankles are pretty thin). Fit of the ankle is the risk you run when getting zip-up rather than lace paddock boots, but if you want zip-up paddock boots I would definitely recommend this brand.

Great Ariat Quality at a great price
I am very hard on boots and need a pair that lasts a bit and is not super pricey. These fit the bill! Very comfortable from day one wearing them. No blisters.

perfect size heel and height
Great for riding and puttering around the barn. You may want to wear thick socks until you break in the boot - these are the first Ariat boots that ever gave me blisters. After the first wearing, and using thicker socks, no problem.

Nice Boot for the Money!
These boots were for my granddaughter who is growing like a weed. Her last boots lasted 2 months and were expensive. I appreciated the quality and lower price!

This is a nice boot for the price. Unfortunately it did not fit and I had to return it. The ankle area was just too tight.

Good Boot. Elegant Foot.
These really do run "true" to size. And they accommodate foot foibles - like mine graciously given to me by 3 mares all of whom apparently decided that my right foot was a deadly cobra (within a two week timeframe) - because the leather is of such nice quality. They felt good right from the start with minimal breaking in. The quality for the price is very fair. I do dearly wish though that they came in brown. And while I'm still in the test period, I am (so far) pleased.

Super comfortable!
Bought these a couple days ago. So comfy that I really didn't need to break them in. The inside is slightly padded and these are by far the greatest boots I have owned. My tall boots that are also Ariat have lasted forever and I am hoping these will too! These are super easy to clean. I have also never used the zip style with paddock boots and I have always used laces but these fit my feet perfectly...not the usual looseness of zip boots that I have tried on

Ariat Scout Paddock boots
This is probably my 4th pair if Ariat boots in 7 yrs. I wear them constantly and they wear great and are very comfortable. Usually I get the Heritage boots but this time I went for the cheaper Scout ones. I am not sure what the difference is between them but I couldn't tell. These are very comfortable, I do find I have to wear them at first without pulling the zip all the way up as they are tight around the ankle but leather stretches and one broken in they are great.

great fit
Ariat is always dependable. Fit is true to size, leather is great quality. The only thing I found tedious is that when I slip them off, the inserts fold up and I have to push them back down in the boot. They may not be as thick as the higher priced boot inserts. But that doesn't bother me too bad. I still love Ariat products.
