Best off the shelf men’s English boot
The sizing of the shaft height is really misleading- I am 6’4” with a 36 inch inseam and the short is almost too tall - break in was pretty tough but after a week of misery and spray on boot stretch the fit great.
Also, the footbed is much more supportive than the other brands I tried.
Note that the size fitted true to my dress shoe size,

Delighted I Bought These
I have had these boots for 2 years now and they are still going strong, they are very well made and are great to wear. They have kept their shape really well and when clean, they look like new. The slim fit for me is perfect and I couldn't be happier with these boots.

Sizing is off
I called Ariat directly with my measurements and they told me what size boot to order. I cannot even zip the boot up my calf, they are way too tall, and the foot part itself is too tight. I tried using a pair of pliers to zip up the boot and see if it just needed breaking in, even with that I could not zip them. I’m very disappointed.

The calf size of these boots are off a bit but was able to find the correct size and in Ariat fashion, these boots were a hit!

Great boot!
Bought these for my 15 1/2 now 17 year old son. He is very hard on his boots. They have standed up to the test. Regular stall cleanings/to many to count rides/endless shows.....and I can still get them clean for a show and holding on strong. He has loved the comfort from day one. He is 6 foot, skinny and all muscle. I purchased him the extra slim tall and it could not be A better fit if I would have bought custom. It is time to buy a new pair of boots and I will be purchasing these again.

So far so good
This is my husband's first pair of long boots and he loves them. We compared with a pair of TuffRiders. These had a much better fit and leather quality. My husband is 6' tall with calf measurement of 15", knee to floor is 19". The 10.5 regular medium fits perfectly. It's a little tall and tight still as he's only worn them a couple times, but they were not uncomfortable for the first rides. He's looking forward to breaking them in.

Nice boot
Really great durable boot! The calf is a straighter cut than I would like but i have very long, skinny calves. These have lasted quite a while and still look great!

So far so good! Well built!
Besides being backordered from Ariat for over a month (I guess tall and non-large calved guys don't ride?), I have only slightly broken them in. I've had many compliments on getting these boots, and it looks so much better than paddocks and half chaps. Ankles are nice and soft leather already, and I'm still waiting for the tops to drop and stop giving me kneepit blisters. Guys, if these are your first tall boots, do NOT complain about the pain, lest you hear from 100 women saying they have dealt with this for decades ;) Either way, boots are well built as far as i can tell, and I hope last me a LONG time.
Immediate fit, seems that the foot might be a bit on the large size, and a bit tall. It doesn't help that I'm not a "standard size" rider (tall, slim calf), but I think they will fit better after they are broken in. I wear normal shoe socks, AND riding socks.
