Disappointed
Incredibly disappointed with these boots. The new “Dryshield” which seems to have replaced Goretex is an over glorified neoprene liner. I absolutely do NOT want neoprene in my boots (if I did, I’d buy the much cheaper neoprene and rubber boots). The interior lining is a rougher mesh instead of the smooth satin-like lining from the boots these were supposed to replace. These also fit so strangely in the foot - the toe is on the narrower side while the heel is HUGE causing my foot to lift and rub with each step. As I said, majorly disappointing.

Not Waterproof
First off, I absolutely love the fit/feel of these boots. The option for a fuller calf is what sold me. I got them and they were comfy right out of the box, so no break in time was needed. However, they are absolutely not waterproof. My job requires me to stand in creek beds at certain times, and the second time in they leaked and my feet were completely drenched. I was so disappointed, because I do love these boots. Sadly I am returning them.

Great pair of boots
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have these in brown also. I wear the heck out of them! I did go up a half size, I am a 8.5 normally. Comfortable, keep my feet dry and warm on the farm, at work and just around town.

No more soggy feet
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Awesome waterproof boots. I have traditionally worn rubber boots BUT they made my feet worn and soggy...not these. I actually ordered them once and returned them... size 11. Needed the features and reordered in 10.5. they fit better and so glad I did. Not to mention they look great.

I wish!!!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nice boots. Could not get my high arch into them. I guess I need zipper boots.

My favorite Ariat boots
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These have a nice country style to them that goes with both my English and Western riding outfits. They have a good feel in the stirrups. I’ve worn them in snow and they have some insulation to them. I like the drawstring in the back. They are really comfortable. I feed in them and wear them for walking around the farm every day.

Love these!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought these because I needed a boot that I could do winter PNW barn chores in and then ride in. I love my Muck boots but the sole is thick enough it effects my riding/how my foot sits in the iron. The Langdale has a perfect sole for riding and is super warm & comfortable for mucking, turn out, etc. I can do chores and then hop in the saddle, without changing boots.
I bought the regular calf width which was a bit snug for my calves (which aren't particularly big, but aren't slim either), especially with fleece-lined breeches, but they have loosened. The laces tend to untie and make quite a bit of noise when they slap the back of the boot (hoping I can retie them and resolve that issue). And, it may have been a fluke, but the buckle on the side caught on an arena rail, giving me and my horse an unwelcome surprise as we trotted by! To avoid this in the future, I unbuckle the strap so it's open and won't catch on anything (and try to keep my horse a bit further from the rail!).
Overall very satisfied with these boots!

Comfy stylish boot
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted an alternative to the traditional cowboy boot for riding since I prefer riding tights and I tried wearing a competitors boot but their sizing is inconsistent. I remembered from my other boots that ariat is true to size so I bought these! They’re my favorite riding boot! They’re super comfy and also stylish!

Sturdy
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Lovely boots. Took a few hours to break the heels in but now they're good. Perfect for dog walking in the snow.
