So comfy and the fit is great!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought these so I'd have some ranch boots when I hang with my horse. And oh man, was not expecting how comfortable they are! My feet are just raised in all the right areas, it feels so great walking in them. I also really like how handsome the boots are.

Have a pair of Ariat boots now for almost 30 years. They are still so very comfortable. I wear them almost every day to walk my dogs in the woods.
Needed another pair of waterproof boots that go higher than my ankles for when the stream water gets deep. Since my other boots are so awesome, I went back to Ariat since I couldn't find anything else in the stores. Just to let you know, I NEVER buy clothes on line....especially shoes.
Purchased the Langdale boots and OMG! perfect since the minute I put them on. I typically anticipate a shoe "break-in" period and fully expected some rubbing and discomfort. Went for a 2 hr. hike and not even one pinch. Just like my other Ariat boots....so very comfortable.
The only comment I have to make is that the Ariat size guide may be a bit off. According to their gauge, I needed a size 10, but I ended up ordering my true size 9 and it was perfect.
Thank you Ariat....I'll never buy anything else!

Not for me
Unfortunately the fact that this boot was a 'pull-on' was not for me. The foot was too cramped and it was built solidly too high to the ankle bone, making it very uncomfortable. I'm sure if you have a narrow foot and a higher ankle bone it would be fine. Nicely made, good fabric, looks great, just didn't fit!

Very narrow fit
I’ve never had this issue with ariat boots before, and I’ve never needed a wide footed shoe. However, these run very narrow in the foot, and my toes have very little room. I tried to walk a cross country course one morning when dew was present, and they did not keep my feet dry. The soles ended up completely soaked, as well as my socks. Very disappointed by these, and I’ll just stick to buying their tall boots from now on.

Great boots! Takes some time to soften
I've had these for about a month now. Out of the box they were a little narrow and hard to get on and off, but after wearing them and having the leather soften they feel a lot better.
These are perfect for ranch chores, mucking out, and just walking around all day long.
I've given multiple horses baths in these and my feet stay perfectly dry when in any other boots they'd be soaked.
My feet and calves also dont get ridiculously hot in these like I expected them too.
Especially in the California summer.
Overall I really like these boots, but I do think the price is a litttttle high- but if they hold up for a long time it will be worth it.

COMFORTABLE AND VERSATILE FOR BIG CALVES!!!!
Had them awhile now, so I feel I can review them after a lot of use. I bought a second pair when they were on sale. I wear those for going out and stuff. They can be dressed up!! I get lots of compliments on them with jeggings and a sweater. I play in a band and they fit right in. But for work? I can’t say enough. I’ve worn them in water to the tops and they have kept me dry. I can wear them working in the barn on my feet all day. I put spurs on them for riding in tights and leggings and they are amazing. I fell off a roof onto my feet in 2000 and it did a lot of damage. Sprained both ankles and all ten toes. I have residual neuropathy. These boots don’t hurt me one bit, even after hours in them. I am plus sized 22/24 and the calves are GREAT. Great fit for fat calves. (People not cows) they work hard and keep my feet dry and comfy. I would have 10 pairs if I could afford it. Just to be safe!!!! Great for riding and going out!!! Love, love, LOVE these boots!!!! Ariat is always dependable but they outdid themselves on this boot!!

Most comfortable boots ever
I’ve worn these boots since 6 months now, almost everyday. I just love them. The support is so great, my feet are never tired. I have wide calfs (38cm) and they are wide enough. Only minus is that due to the profile of the sole they do get a bit slippery in the mud (see photo). I usually are a size EU 38.5, some brands I need 39, some 38, but from Ariat I’m always okay with 38.5. The width of my feet is normal to wide. The colours in the stock photo is not correct, see pictures in the reviews for the correct colours.

Leaking Already
Just over a year since buying these boots both are leaking so badly I have totally wet socks on every rainy walk. I have looked after them properly with recommended products. Poor quality at a high price.

Couldn't Live Without Them
I bought this boots in late October and I have since wondered how I ever lived without them! I wear them practically every day for anywhere between 1-8 hours through sand, rain, mud, and even snow- they're the best! Super comfortable with nice arch support and super cute. Keeps my feet warm and dry. I have ridden in them quite a bit but had to stop since they started dropping at the ankle quite a bit. The color is much darker in person, exactly like the customer provided pictures. They fit true to size and are easy on and off (I had sized up after reading other reviews and since regretted it).

Beautiful boots but too big for me!
These are the most gorgeous boots but I’ve had to return them as they’re just to big for me! I’m quite petite (5ft 1”) they felt heavy on and whilst they were ok on the flat they poked into the back of my knee walking up/downstairs.
I loved the style but have returned and purchased the Wythburn boots instead, they fit perfectly and I’m keeping them!

I love these boots! Not 100% water or dustproof
I love these boots! I would 100% buy them again. They are really good looking, super comfy, zero break in time. They are not 100% waterproof or dustproof, but better than most and will work for me anyway! I find Ariat boots run large. My normal shoe size was right in these.

Brilliant but the colour advertised
I’m loyal to Ariat for my day to days boots. I have t worm another brand for as long as I can remember. These boots are the usual quality and comfort BUT the Java boots are not the colour advertised. They’re pretty much the same colour as the waxed chocolate the only difference being the leather parts are matte not shiny like the chocolate ones are. So if you’re expecting the orange tan colour in the adverts you’re going to be disappointed. I’m not sure how Ariat got this so wrong. Anyway the boots still look good and I’m sure will still let me an age.

not what i expected
Received these boots. color does not match the orange tone in the photo, which is what i ordered. Received a dark brown instead. I'm an 8.5, ordered a 9. They were too tight in shoe box but very loose on my ankles and calf. My calf measures 15". Returned.

Absolutely beautiful but foot size narrow
I am a big Ariat fan and only ever buy Telluride shirt boots. Ordered these lovely Lansdale but foot is far too narrow. What a shame that there are no width options. Very disappointed to have to return them

The reviews don't lie - GREAT BOOTS!!!!
It was time for me to get boots, but so many choices, right? However, these had such fabulous reviews. How could I go wrong, right. So I ordered them. And WOW I LOVE THEM! They are comfortable, great to ride in, and yes, waterproof. And while not lined, they do feel fairly warm. And chic. And well made.

Outstanding boot
This boot is PERFECT for me! I have to wear good, supportive footwear. I was excited to see these Arial's on sale. My old waterproof boots (a snowboot) were no longer waterproof, nor were they warm. After reading reviews of this Ariat, I decided to go up a 1/2 size to accommodate thicker socks - my feet get super cold in the winter. However, the boots were too big - and my heel slipped up and down when I walked. But the boots looked great, and felt supportive, so I ended up exchanging them for my true size. I don't know how Ariat does it, but, even though they are not lined, my feet stay warm (I do wear wool socks - mostly alpaca). The boots ARE waterproof, are super easy to clean, and are very comfortable. Some days I hate to take them off! And they are "dressy" enough to wear out and about (I wore them 1 day to church after a significant snowfall and freeze event). I cannot speak to how they feel riding - both my horses have arthritis (from Lyme disease) and my big gelding also has Shivers. But I cannot think of why they wouldn't perform great in that capacity.
I cannot think of 1 negative. I expect they will last for quite some time - all my previous Ariat footwear lasted). Barring any problems, I would definitely purchase again - even if they weren't on sale. I am THAT pleased with these boots!

Great if you have skinny calves
These are gorgeous boots and, true to form for Ariat, the footbed is really supportive. Unfortunately, the calves are way too narrow for me, so I returned them. I have athletic calves, so this is a common issue for me. I wish Ariat would offer more tall boots in wide widths.

Nice!
Bought these boots to replace my old Dublin river boots since that brand changed their sizing and they run too small now ( I wear 11 so it's hard to find brands that fit). Ariat sizes have always seemed to be consistent with size and these were the closest style to my old boots. I was expecting the calf to be too wide for my slim leg but they fit awesome.....just enough room for skinny jeans. They have much more foot support and sole to walk on than my old river boots.They are wonderful so far to wear, but I haven't ridden in them yet.

Gorgeous in the best "horse woman style" way
I have had such a to do over barn boots after my River Boots (original ones, not the ones now) got chewed up by my puppy. I have the Ada boots and they are just too whimpy and do not keep feet warm in winter. I tried a new pair of Dublins and the color was off and so I tried these. Wow, they are even nicer than my old chewed up River Boots! These stand up without boot trees the leather is that good. They run even so slightly larger then Dublins but I wear thick socks and will add an insole if the foot stretches over time. The leather is beautiful and they are so comfortable. I totally recommend them! I have an 11 in Java for reference. I would have gone 10.5 but they don't have this size.

Love these boots!
I am usually between a 7.5 and 8. The 7.5 was too small so I did an easy exchange for an 8. 7.5 for but wouldn’t have with thicker socks. Haven’t used much but they keep my feet warm, and feel broken in at the ankle already you could definitely ride in these if you wanted to.

Beautiful + Comfy
I'm usually an 8.5 in Ariat but went with these in a 9. I have a narrow foot, high arch and average-sized calf. (15" with skinny jeans on and I have plenty of calf room in these) The color is darker and not orange like what is shown on Ariat's website, they're more like the instagram pics .. and honestly even nicer in person. These boots seem like they will be very warm and as always with Ariat quality, they are well-made. Thick leather, rugged sole - but not clunky or heavy. Really love these and I'd highly recommend them.

Very comfy, no break in time
I bought these last year (2019 Spring) After much deliberation. I needed a boot for teaching long Saturdays and through the week, that was also durable enough for barn work, all weather chores, etc. I got my regular Ariat size 8 1/2 (I am a size 9 in everything except Ariat ... I size 1/2 size down ). Broke in nice. Put my Ariat Cobalt insoles in and west these A LOT. I have a long leg though, so they don’t go up super high on my calf, but it is ok. And yes I would recommend them.

Great boot!
I love these boots, fit is right on. Nice details. Unfortunately, the only negative is the color is much darker than the photo. The photo appears almost camel/light brown. In reality, they are closer in color to the pics people are posting.

No Disappointments At All
I have had these for about a month but didn't start to wear them until the cold weather arrived. The first thing I want to say is that they are not as orange as they appear in photos in advertisements, They are much more brown, although the suede portions are very slightly rust-hued. I tried two other similarly-styled boots instead because the color was not as appealing as a brown boot which is more versatile for my purposes. They were both disappointing; had zippers on the inside (?!?) which might have scratched my saddle.
When these boots arrived and I tried them on I knew I had found what I was looking for. I wear them to work and then to ride my horse after work, and a damp sponge wipe cleans them up for next time. I have received several compliments while wearing them. The price was good as well. They are quite warm in the cold weather. I highly recommend them

Love these boots!
These boots are very comfortable and well made. I have wider calves (16”) and they fit perfectly. There’s definitely room to make them more snug on top if needed. I’m between the shoe size of 9 and 9 1/2. I chose to go with the 9 1/2 and they have enough room to wear thicker socks.
